Actually astrology culture belonged to Greeks and spread in India & hinduism by Saka Magas in the guise of caste brahminism.
This is tradition of Saka maga. This tradition was spread through Saka Magas !!

Not sure where you got this concept from about Jyotish coming from the Greeks. It is a Vedanga. "Veda" + "Anga" meaning a part of a limb of Veda. Specifically it is "Eye" of the Veda and the reason for that is that is helps us navigate the time dimension just our two eyes help us navigate the space dimension.
