How come people that think they are jesus or claim to be jesus or god reincarnated ("delusions") are called crazy by people in society when in fact "jesus" himself did the same exact thing! What is the difference? How come jesus is worshiped as the son of god just because he said so and "crazy" people can't say the same thing without being ridiculed?

Not that I believe in god, satan, heaven, hell or the bible, I am just saying in terms of people's perspective on things as far as the bible goes. Oh and if god is real then satan is the good guy and god is evil... duh. god is a tyrant and satan wants to save us from his tyranny. (bible's many contradictions)

Goddam what is wrong with our society? (society seems to make ppl go crazy.) shame on you!

Jesus said some out there stuff, but he backed it up by his resurrection. There might not be conclusive, absloute proof of this, but there is good historical evidence. Do some research. Can't hurt, and will at the very least help you understand people who do believe in him- I think that understanding might be somewhat lacking at the moment. Good luck.

Bible difficulties, or apparent Bible contradictions, exist. The opponents of Christianity often use them in their attempts to discredit Christianity. Sometimes these attacks undermine the faith of Christians who either don't understand the issues or don't have the resources to deal with them.

Opponents of Christianity will cite what they consider a Bible contradiction or difficulty by comparing one verse to another (or more) that seems to disagree with the first. In doing this, several verses are often referenced as being contradictory or problematic. Therefore, to make this section of CARM easy to use, it is arranged by verse for easy lookup. Since many of the same "difficulties" deal with one verse in opposition to another or even several others, I have listed all the verses addressed in the same answer. This makes the initial list look larger than it really is. For example, how many animals did Noah bring into the ark? Genesis 6:19-20 says two while Gen. 7:2-3 mentions seven. Therefore, both verses are listed and both links point to the same answer.

If we read the Bible at face value, without a preconceived bias for finding errors, we will find it to be a coherent, consistent, and relatively easy-to-understand book. Yes, there are difficult passages. Yes, there are verses that appear to contradict each other. We must remember that the Bible was written by approximately 40 different authors over a period of around 1500 years. Each writer wrote with a different style, from a different perspective, to a different audience, for a different purpose. We should expect some minor differences. However, a difference is not a contradiction. It is only an error if there is absolutely no conceivable way the verses or passages can be reconciled. Even if an answer is not available right now, that does not mean an answer does not exist. Many have found a supposed error in the Bible in relation to history or geography only to find out that the Bible is correct once further archaeological evidence is discovered.

There is only one person who is me. Not even my twin sister could pass herself off as me. But if I prophesied that I would return to earth in great glory, with hosts of angels, to start the resurrection of the dead and the Day of Judgement, then I would be claiming what only Jesus of Nazareth ever claimed. Of course, I couldn't do that, because I am NOT Jesus of Nazareth, now or ever. There is only one Jesus of Nazareth. Anybody claiming to be a reincarnation of him would have to appear as Jesus said he would appear. So far, nobody but nobody has descended from heaven with hosts of angels and commenced the resurrection of the dead, let alone the great Day of Judgment!

However, in every generation there have been people claiming to be Christ, and Jesus warned us before he returned to heaven that such imposters would abound (Matthew 24:5). In Korea, for example, there are currently some 200 cult leaders claiming to be either God or the Messiah. Membership of such cults is about 350,000 people. One such man is Sun Myung Moon, leader of the Moonies (Unification Church). He claims, "I am the embodiment of God". Another goes by the name/title of Ahnsahnghong and he claims to be the second coming of Christ.

Well, neither of them have done what Jesus said he will do when he returns to earth, so both of them are imposters. Simple! Jesus is worshipped as the Son of God because over 500 people saw him resurrected from the dead, and ascending bodily up into heaven. That's the proof of his claim! (Romans 1:1-6)

Jesus has come, he has given us his word, and when he comes back, trust me, you will know.

For the record, God is real, and no, he isn't the bad guy. He wants to save us from Satan, who makes people slaves to their own human desires. God wants you to have better.
