Question:
help with some christian beliefs (about heaven)?
2008-07-22 20:25:16 UTC
i know nobody can really answer this question accurately, but i'm very upset about something my friend (who is christian) said the other day. she told me that all animals were not allowed into heaven, because they're not smart enough to accept jesus as their savior. now, i'm not christian, but i am very spiritual and do believe in god and jesus and everything, but i'm also a HUGE animal person and hearing this, although i'm not so gullible as to just believe it, bothered me. she said it was in the bible, but when she read it to me, it didn't seem to say that animals absolutely weren't allowed into heaven, and i do understand that this belief is based on the interpretation, rather than the actual meaning, of the bible. so anyone who has anything to offer about this would be very helpful!

thanks!

Nowhere does Scripture explicitly state that animals do not have souls...There is nothing in Scripture I know of that would preclude the possibility of animals' continued existence...The Bible does give us some reason to hope that departed animals will be restored. We read in the Bible that redemption is a cosmic matter. The whole creation is destined to be redeemed through the work of Christ (Romans 8:21), and we see the images of what heaven will be like; beautiful passages of Scripture tell us about the lion and lamb and other animals being at peace with one another.(Isaiah 11:6-8). Whenever heaven is described, though it may be in highly imaginative language, it is a place where animals seem to be present. Whether these are animals newly created for the new heavens and the new earth, or they are the redeemed souls of our pets that have perished, we can't know for sure.

First of all, I love animals too. I'm very into helping animals and the like, so I'd like to express my delight with you in that regard.

Secondly, I'd like to ask you a question: Would it make sense for animals to exist in Heaven if they were created and meant to live and enjoy life on the Earth?

Hi, emily:

Funny thing, but my last question concerned how much a dog may love someone, even more than people in your own religion.

The Bible is silent on this topic, in fact, Solomon was not even certain which way their spirit goes, up or down.

But know this. The One who created the little sparrow, and grieves when one falls to the ground, also loves your pets.

And the Bible tells us that it has not entered into the heart of man the things God has planned for us.

So, we might just meet our pets again when Paradise is restored.

The Bible code tells you when the cosmic conflict is over and sin is eradicated from the universe. http://abiblecode.com

I am almost positive there will be animals in heaven. I'm not sure if animals that have lived on earth will go to heaven once they die...since like your friend said...they can't make a conscious choice to accept Jesus...but I don't know that for sure. God created them so He does care for them too, but they were not created in His image like we are.

It's not that they're not allowed, it's that they don't have an eternal spirit. So there's nothing there to go to heaven. When an animal dies it's just dead.

Animals can't sin, so that's not the problem. In fact that's why God instituted animal sacrifices before Christ -- animals have no sin of their own, so they are suitable sacrifices for human sin. They're not sufficient; they're just good enough until Jesus came along.

I know you would like to see your animal friends in heaven.

That is possible perhaps in some mental plane for your comfort. I'm not really sure that Animals can not be in heaven.

Animals do have a spirit entity but not exactly as humans.

I took an animal communication class for two days from one of the worlds famous teachers. In that class I learned to communicate even with the dead. Now if you can accept this because I have no reason to lie about it, Animals like people get trapped in between worlds. Animals also are held back from going to the place they are suppose to go by people who morn and pine over them after their deaths. Animals need to be loved enough to be released from our hearts, which are a very strong force on the spirit of animals. As I said their spirits are different than ours. Our spirits have a divine intelectual connection with God. Animals when they die go into a pod type zone, much like you would see on Star Trek. Like the Borg that is a conglomerate of spirits of the same kind.

Humans go to a higher Heavenly realm than animals. I'm unclear about the viewing of animals in Heaven other than a illusionary type for your benifit as a healing or divine purpose. Animals reincarnate like humans sometimes. Animals sometimes return to us in other life times, those who were with us before on their way to a higher existance in spiritual maturity. I know one women in my class had her cat channel a message to her through me that her cat was sad because she and her husband held onto it's spirit and it could not go to the cat zone, to it's higher purpose until she and him left go. Heaven is very intricate and the possibilities are endless. Those that deny that do not really reason well about creation. I'm just not really sure that it matters once you are in heaven that you see old Sparky the pooch or Sahsa the kitty. These are the things I can share I've learned. They may not be true, but sure seem real when you learn about them. If Jesus is supposed to come riding during Armageddon on a white horse with his Angelic Army who are are on horses, does that not say there are animals in Heaven?

it is clear through careful reading that there will be animals. That is without a doubt. Well that be like past pets that will remember us and what not, I'd have to say no to that one. I will recommend a good book about heaven for you, its called Heaven by Randy Alcorn, and it is the most accurate and informative book about what Heaven is gonna be like. You'll love it.

Since the apostles saw Moses and Elijah during the Transfiguration, we can assume that we will see those who have gone before us. This information is interesting to me:

This verse makes me feel good about heaven:

Romans 8:18

I consider that the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared with the glory to be revealed for us.

I do not recall ever reading that animals are or are not allowed in Heaven, if you are a Christian I believe you will find out when you get there.

No one goes to heaven, or as some believe, hell, when they die. The soul dies. Later on when God makes the whole Earth a paradise, as originally planned, 144,000 people will go to heaven, while the rest who stayed loyal will live forever in the paradise. Animals aren't going to heaven to help rule the Earth. 144,000 people will go.

Animals have a place in Gods future kingdom. God has shown me this in the Bible.

in Biblical terms animals are very low, to be made or compared to an animal is the gretest disrespect. Sorry, I believe that animals would not make it to heaven, your friend was right.

it's hard to comprehend, but the bible also says that for eternity we will be worshiping God. Animals can't do that. They can't believe. It's hard to understand, but i don't think we'll miss them.

Heaven is just the Dimension in which all go at death.

Including animals...God loves them too.

properly, Jesus grow to be God in the flesh. God made it distinctly easy first of all. God did not create countless religions and different Gods. The Jews, Muslims and Christians worship a similar God, althought some Jews and Muslims do not think of Christians persist with their God. not all have faith that (i'm making a element). yet, Jesus grow to be believed to be the messiah (Christianity-Christ-ianity, to be Christ-like, and walk as he walked) and that he grow to be God in the flesh (using fact he grow to be despatched right down to earth in human style, so as that he ought to tutor the worldwide how human beings have been meant to stay. -the way Adam grow to be meant to stay till he grow to be deceived and sinned. And while he did that, humanity lost the anointing of God, which grow to be the capability that God gave to them. God despatched a messenger, -Jesus- to tutor adult males the thank you to stroll on earth and the thank you to stay, and to redeem them, and retrieve that anointing that grow to be lost while the worldwide grew to grow to be crammed with sin... And he grow to be somewhat God in the flesh, he on no account sinned. Now, human beings say that that is thru Jesus's call, using fact Jesus grow to be God in the flesh, that we are able to get into Heaven, using fact it grow to be using fact he died that mankind grow to be redeemed, and while he died, mankind ought to as quickly as back be below the anointing of God. The anointing grow to be given back to them. And it is not in basic terms a Christian thought. seem into Mithraism. Very VERY comparable. some have faith you are able to purely have faith in God. i don't label myself something specifically yet maximum folk could now call me a Christian. i pass via the bible, yet some all of us is lie to via the be conscious. I actually have a relationship with God and his be conscious, yet not a faith. yet there is better than one thought equipment or faith that a thank you to Heaven is in direction of the redeemer. Christianity isn't the only faith to have faith that. i could say, with the aid of Christ. even though if that is all as much as you, what you like to have faith.
