A friends wants me to go with them, but I don't much about pagan beliefs. Anyone who has been before or known someone who has please let me know. What do pagans believe and how do they worship? How long do the festivals last?

It depends on the festival. Some are only a day, some last a week. Your best bet would be to check the festival's website to see if they've got a program of events.
You'll likely find an assortment of ceremonies, most likely a drum circle or something similar, and probably some talks/workshops for people to pick up new info/techniques. There'll likely be some vendors, probably some folks with food, etc.
What we believe and how we worship depends on the type of Pagan - there's a number of religions that fall under the banner of Pagan, and some of them vary wildly. That said, chances are at any public festival you're going to find a Wiccan-like ceremony, so you'll find people standing in a circle - there'll probably be some chanting, maybe some guided meditation, maybe a seasonally appropriate story, etc.

Well at the one I went to in Sept. there were several workshops you could go to, discussion groups, an Egyptian shrine, a silent auction, then an open ritual and a potluck dinner. All in all it lasted a good bit of the day

Go and see.
Food, music, dancing, face painting, vendors selling things, people dressing up like faeries, happiness, hugs.....
Do some research on Paganism.
