Why does God stop time twice a year moving it forward by 1 hour and back by 1 hour?

I thought God only had the ability to stop the sun once in the sky so as to give the Hebrews/the Christians a little more time to win the battle they were engaged in.

Changing time (one hour here/one hour there) is not Biblical, is it?

Daylight saving time (DST; also summer time in British English) is the convention of advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn. Modern DST was first proposed in 1907 by William Willett. Many countries have used it since then; details vary by location and change occasionally.

The practice can be controversial. Adding daylight to afternoons benefits retailing, sports, and other activities that exploit sunlight after working hours, but causes problems for farming, entertainment and other occupations tied to the sun. Extra afternoon daylight reduces traffic fatalities; its effect on health and crime is less clear. An early goal of DST was to reduce evening usage of incandescent lighting, formerly a primary use of electricity; changes in usage patterns have cast doubt on whether DST now saves energy.

That's not God. It's man, and you know very well. And no, it's not Biblical.

Regarding that piece of Jewish Literature in the Bible which reports to that battle the Hebrews won because God stopped

the sun in the sky so as to give them more time to win the battle they were engaged in, is to be interpreted metaphorically. The symbol of the sun is to be taken by the head of the Government whose nation the Hebrews were fighting with. It means they frozen themselves before the fury of the Hebrews who, before the sun was set, they had won a battle that promised to hold for days. That's as simple as that.

It isn't God that does the "stopping", well, actually, changing.

It's people.

They just like to use God as an excuse.

People do a lot of that.

God comes in for a lot of stick, one way or another, due to being falsely credited with having done stuff.

Still, He seems to take it on the chin, pretty well.

Broad shoulders, that God, very patient. You can tell that by the way He hasn't decided to smite those who take His name as Holy, and then go claiming all manner of things in His name. Jolly decent chap, really. I mean if I were in his Throne, I would've put a stop to any nonsense "in My name" ages ago, once and for all.

So no, God's not responsible for the time change, and I seriously doubt it has any Biblical connections.

But you see what I mean - people will credit God with anything, poor chap.

volume one, you do not masturbate for any god. i assume you do not think contained in the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob or you does no longer be asking that question. volume 2, being a 20 365 days previous virgin is something you're because you pick to be that virgin. I heavily question your want to be a virgin if you're, because of your want to masturbate. i imagine you opt to particularly question your causes and be straightforward with your self. God is conscious in the previous you even imagine it, so that you do not could "teach" something to Him. You DO, although, could teach it to your self. So, for heavens sake get straightforward with your self. volume 3. Masturbating isn't a sin, and that i have a particularly sturdy take care of on the scriptures. volume 4. you do not extremely opt to end or you're able to. back, I reported you opt to be straightforward. it really is something you opt to do, so do it, take excitement in it, end feeling accountable about it. God made your body and he "observed it grow to be sturdy". What God deems sturdy, why could I argue with him? Now, in case you experience this is undesirable and proceed besides, then this is you who've certainly sinned because you've exceeded judgment on your self already. So make up your ideas already and bypass on. you're finished of lies........to your self. i'm an RN
