Hey I'm 16 and I'm going to be baptized and my youth group leader told me to make a obituary(sp)?
He said that I write all the things I'm 'dying' for. (dying as in getting baptized)

Your youth group leader has his heart in the right place but his choice of words is poor.
What he means is that you should reflect on the things of your former life and resolve to be "born anew" as a spiritual being dedicated to Christ. In effect, the old you is dying and the new you is about to be born.
I think it might be better to write the things you've done right as a Christian, things you are proud of, because a real obituary would list the positive things.

An obituary is a short printed article (like in the newspaper) announcing that a certain person has died, and telling a bit about that person's life - their interests, accomplishments, etc.

Keep in mind that this may not be a correct way to look at the "death, burial, and resurrection" of Jesus Christ in Rom. 6:4. The verse focuses on Jesus and his death, and this needs to be in the forefront of your baptism.
