Solar Flare 2012: Massive Solar Storm Headed For Earth

One of the most powerful solar storms in the last five years was unleashed yesterday after a massive solar flare erupted from the sun. Space weather scientists are closely watching the sun’s activity as the storm could interfere with satellite communication and power grids.

Joseph Kunches, from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), said:

“Space weather has gotten very interesting over the last 24 hours… When the shock arrives, the expectation is for heightened geomagnetic storm activity and the potential for heightened solar radiation… There is the potential for induced currents in power grids… Power grid operators have all been alerted. It could start to cause some unwanted induced currents.”

Why didn't the thousands of other solar flares indicate the beginning of the rapture? This is hardly the first time it's happened, you know.

Solar flares have been happening since beginning of the solar system. They run about 11 years cycles, becoming maximum at the end.

But there has been some pretty massive solar flares in the past.

The numbers in ( ) indicate the strength.



solar flares also occurred on April 2, 2001 (X20),... October 28, 2003 (X17.2 also X10)....September 7, 2005 (X17)....February 17, 2011 (X2)....August 9, 2011 (X6.9).....and March 6, 2012 (X5.4)



So you see, Sept 7, 2005 had a X17 April 2, 2001, had a X20... while recently March 6, was X5.4



In 1989, during solar cycle 22 two large flares occurred on March 6 (X15) (see: March 1989 geomagnetic storm) and August 16 (X20) causing disruptions in electric grids and computer systems.

These are things that happen, all the time...not something that will cause the Rapture.



With thoughts like this, no wonder people panic. And guess what.? Panic will not help, anyway.

The Bible states that Christ's return will be that as a thief in the night. There will be no signs of his second coming. Paul wrote, "But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night" (1 Thessalonians 5:1-2).



Paul wrote and said that Christians had no need of even knowing the season or times of Christ's return.
