A book of shadows is a term that basically describes your spiritual working journal. So while I just call mine a "spiritual journal", my Wiccan friends and witchy friends from a variety of paths tend to call it my "Book of Shadows". (Though I have one friend who calls it "Sig's big book of handiness") It has various prayers (some would call them spells) I've written, herbal remedies that I've found from a variety of sources, notes on observations about what is going on in the natural world, translations of old texts from West Norse to modern Norwegian, various blóts and sumbels and even recipes, etc. In other words, you don't need to download anything. Just go to Barnes and Noble or something similar and buy yourself a nice, leather-bound (or whatever appeals to you) journal. When you run out of room in that one, get another one and start with it. It helps to write the beginning and ending dates on the outside and use the last page for a table of contents. That way when you are looking for something specific you can find it more easily. "Now how did I make that infusion that worked so well on my husbands flu virus again?" *checks back pages of decades of journals, finds it* "There it is!" - that kind of thing.

Amazon and Ebay also are well on-line resources. I almost always get "Good" or "like new" at the books on Amazon. Ebay has a couple of areas that honestly promote stuff for witches and a few stuff for Wicca. Witchvox is a well website to discover humans and areas within the surrounding field. Hope this is helping.
