Since I am a human and also a muslim, and also a Malaysian,I will answer your question while providing links for you to read and do deep research about Islam before accusing:
1)Apostates: Should they be killed or saved?
http://www.answering-christianity.com/apostates.htm
It is true that there is no compulsion in Religion.
2) I would also love to critic the way Malaysian Government implement the Shariah Law. First and foremost, there are muslims in Malaysia who of course have weak uphold of Islamic religion who consume alcohol. Instead of making sure that all the people who are involved in it to be punished, the government only choose to punish those who admit it only for example Kartika which is really absurd and the rest are just left like that just because they don't admit it. The government is at FAULT.
3) Alcohol-Based Medication IS PERMISSIBLE.

In Kartika case, the comsumption of Alcohol was not for treating her illness neither she was being forced to drink it, rather it was simply her own act without any strong acceptable reason.
4) Most people think that drinking alcohol is a minor matter when that matter is being discussed on individual perspective. But that's not the reality when it comes to all parties that are affected due to Alcohol.

May Allah guide all of us through the right path.

Muslims who delete this question will be held responsible by Allah in hereafter for not defending and guiding the others to the real truth of Islam.
"Invite all to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching
and reason with them in ways that are best and most gracious..."
(16:125)
Furthermore, there is nothing to be proud of human made law. This is the most devasting "achievement" throughout the human life history. The rate of crime is increasing throughout the world. One example is USA:
