Every culture has them (Japanese with Geisha's, Netherlands, etc.), Bible cites them....is it ever right? Just because history has them doesn't mean it's right (e.g. slavery). and i wouldn't want my daughter to become one, yet we see even the best of men failing (e.g. JFK and Marilyn Monroe). Is it really failure, or just human flesh?

No it is never right. There are so many reasons why a man would go to a prostitute. Some go to keep spending money and get nothing - LOL - it is cheaper in the long run to go pay a hooker than to waste 4 hrs on a date and paying 200 or 300 for the evening out and maybe get nothing or just go pay for a sure thing. Geishas are not prostitutes. I don't see prostitution in and of itself as necessarily wrong, though I'd agree I wouldn't want to be one (I never mix business pleasure) and I would not want my daughter to be one. I don't think 'failures' and prostitution necessarily equate. We err though, because we're human ; and everyone errs in one way or another.



As to why, I'd guess because it's 'uncomplicated', but that's just a guess.
