Why is it wrong for a female to be a Pilot? The Proverbs 31 woman did all sorts of stuff?

A man left a note on the plane to a female Pilot quoting Proverbs 31.

Proverbs 31 is about how valuable a good wife can be and if you read it, it's the perfect description of a 'modern day' wife.



"Who can find a virtuous wife?

For her worth is far above rubies.

The heart of her husband safely trusts her;

So he will have no lack of gain.....



She is like the merchant ships,

She brings her food from afar.

She also rises while it is yet night,

And provides food for her household,



Sure sounds like a Pilot to me!!!

Proverbs 31 refers to the fact that women do all the REAL work of the household, to ensure that her husband and children are provided for, they support their family.



Nothing wrong then with a woman working to support her family at a job - regardless of what that job is.

Proverbs 31 starts with "The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him".



His mum. And reading that, I would argue that what she is saying is that an enterprising woman is a good thing.



I of course don't know who 'David', the writer of the note, is, but I do know what he is. It rhymes with 'prat'.

Why would it be wrong for a woman to fly a plane? .



She can praise the Lord or pray right there in the cockpit. (Considering of course that it wasn't a military cockpit, whose mission God would condemn.)

Absurd. There's no reason a woman can't be a pilot. The WASPs proved that in World War II, fer cryin out loud!
