Question:
Is a lot of pressure in your third eye and brain bad when you meditate?

The last two times I've meditated (last night and this afternoon) my third eye has begun to pulse with immense pressure. It's not necessarily uncomfortable, but certainly something new. I'm just wondering if this could be bad, or if I should embrace it and see where it takes me. Also, for an hour or so after I finished meditating, my ears are still ringing, my third eye still has pressure, I can faintly see shapes and patterns as if I actually were meditating, and if I close my eyes I'm pretty much back in the meditative state again.

It doesn't sound good. It may be a result of the technique you are using. If you are really trying to focus your attention for a long time then it can result in what you describe although there can be other causes.

Keeping your attention there perpetuates the pressure. Best practice is to spread your focus across all the chakras to prevent headaches and develop evenly, but if you've already done plenty of balancing groundwork the odd bit of sensibly excessive exploratory focus probably won't be a problem. I tried 'pushing it' like this once and got a thrashing, liquid firehose of energy blasting about a foot out of my forehead which I assume is a variant of the uraeus effect (I do have a bit of a kundalini history going on so this probably isn't typical however). If you are going to push things, do at least keep your tongue pressed to the upper front of your palate to connect front and back meridians - this will give surplus energy a chance of draining away and improve comfort a little. Really you'd be better off experimenting with the microcosmic orbit or Robert Bruce's New Energy Ways first, you'll make more progress that way.

You are attempting to stop the "flow" of energy that enters your body from below and keep it in your head. This is spiritually unhealthy. You must learn to experience the flow but permit it to continue to return to the universal energy field.Acknowledge it, experience it and release it.

I can't see how you can meditate with a headache in the first place, that would seriously disrupt my mojo. Lol.
