This was covered in my anthropology class.
No, anatomically correct skeletons of humans show that male and female skeletons are almost the same. The only big difference is that the skeletal cavity of the hips is larger in females than males to enable them to give birth.
This idiocy is what happens when one takes a mythological book, such as the bible, and tries to interpret it as though it is factual.
The bible was never intended to be considered a 'factual' book. Its stories are there to teach moral lessons in the christian way.

This is stupidity !!! Humans have 12 pairs of ribs man woman, 10 are true ribs two are called floating ribs! Sometimes people have cervical ribs which is an anomaly! it can be symptomatic however! Go to any of great A&P web sites!

Not true.
However... just because God used a rib from Adam to form Eve doesn't mean that every man, following Adam, has one less rib than every woman.
If I were to give someone a kidney in a life-saving situation, does that mean all my offspring would only have one kidney?
The Bible is true, every last Word.
If God allowed an accident in my life that would cause me to lose a leg, does that mean that every one of my offspring would be born with one leg?

The Bible says that woman came from man's ribs, yes. However, it's never ok for a man to beat his wife. God wants a woman to be obedient to her husband and allow him to be the "head" of the house. The husband that is respectful of his wife and shows love and care for her feelings is easier to follow and allow him to be the "head" of the house. When a husband is mean or degrading to his wife, it only causes resentment and hatred which is a sure fire way to divorce or a lifetime of unhappiness. Please don't let him beat you. You do not deserve to be beaten because you came from man's ribs. That is not what God meant. You do deserve to be in love, be happy, respected and cared about. Please realize this before it's to late.

Its a legend that god used that rib to make Eve. Adam was asleep so he didn't really know that god used that rib to make another part of Adam that he needed to have after Eve came into being. :-) god didn't really plan ahead, or he would have made Eve in the first place. He kind of did that creation thing without any project software.

Nope, not true. Men and women have the same amount of ribs, they are different in other areas though, just in case you were wondering!

It was never true.
(well, a very small percentage of people are born with more ribs, but it's gender-equal).
And even if it was true, it wouldn't prove anything, since a lot of biblical stories are just there to explain observations ("daddy, why don't snakes have any legs?")

I'm not sure about ribs but I do know men are born with one more leg than women are.

No, it's a rdiculous clam that is easy to disprove. Count your own ribs and then count the ribs of a person of the opposite sex.

I used to think so because my wife yells so much louder than me and I thought the extera rib gave her a greater lung capacity!!

No, males and females have the same number of bones. It's a religious myth that very few people actually believe.
