Religion is the product of having the backbone, the guts, the quality of character to COMMIT to a set of principles and values which support and idea or an institution which it finds to be worthy and noble.
This generation finds NOTHING worth respecting. It doesnt even respect itself. How can we expect it to believe in God, or the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

that remark about the generation is one I've heard of every generation, no one can be morally upright, we all fail at good.

Notice that in times of fear, such as 9/11, economic hardships, churches fill up, and collect large sums of money, the same as government. I hear the same statement; 'give me money, I'll protect you'

God doesn't need money to spread anything, but government and religion do to spread fear, thus controlling people.

Jesus said they can take my last breath, but from there, they can do nothing, this is my hope.

particular and no. To be ordinary...even atheism, IMO is a form of religion, so all and sundry has their "important ideals". and that i do no longer concepts if somebody references a center philosphy or the like. What I dislike is whilst bands get preachy and commence pushing their POV on you.... however which could flow from something from faith to no rely if or no longer we shoudl all be vegetarians. and thanks to that, and my own own convictions, if a band is openly non secular, be they a mainstream faith like Christianity or Islam, to much less "universal" ones like Paganism or Satanism, I even tend to stay away from those bands. For one, I even have been a student of religion for an prolonged time, and so my perspectives are oftentimes shaped, and because in assessment to 3 persons, lyrics ARE an important area of my lsitening experience...itf they sound off on something I disagree with.... it nags at me and does undertaking me. consequently, it ruins my satisfaction contained in the music. I get excitement from particular non secular music, and all..even though it ought to be int he suitable placing for me.... and whilst i'm desirous to bang my head mutually as using down the line...that rather isn't what i prefer.
