Question:
Astrology, the one I can't explain. Can you?

I have studies many religions and belief systems over the years. In that time I looked into many of the metaphysical type things as well. I have proven to myself over and again that it's all a bunch of crap. Astrology is the one thing I could never walk away from. I know a man that can develop a natal chart and interpret it and he is spot on with 95% of what he says about the person in question. He does it over and over again. I studied astrology too but just didn't get the hang of interpretation. Anyway, do you think astrology can be explained by science? I think it could be if enough serious research was put into it. Anyone have other thoughts on it?

astrology was the reigning science until the church took over. astrology was removed from its honorary place because the church denounced it and lumped it with the occult and witchcraft. astrology is cool. even the christian bible says god put the planets and stars in the sky for signs, yet christian bad mouth astrology. I dig it.

Astrology was the forerunner of Astronomy. Explaining it scientifically cannot be done. Much research has been done on its validity. You can't walk away from it because there is so much of it in the bible. Our ancestors used it all the time to explain the unknowable.

Interpretation of the chart is by theories not actualities. In other words lets say the planet Mars is traveling through its home sign Aries then it is a dominant player within the sign. It is aggressive by nature and in its home sign where it is most comfortable - it is aggressive but within reason, so to speak. If it is placed in a determinatal sign, or a sign that is not at its best placement - then it will become overly aggressive toward the signs actual meaning.

So.... you understand the zodiac signs, you understand the planets and what they mean, place them within a chart and have a go at it. However, other interferences can arise when it is influenced by other planets such as: in a square, a triangle or otherwise. Interestingly enough this practice is not evil or bad or anything of that nature. [The church fathers did not want anyone to know anything - so by taking away any tools - so to speak, it kept believers under their thumbs. Nothing has changed to this date. Religion wants to keep your mind in the state of a child so it can rule over it.]

The zodiac in ancestral times was a bit different. As the sun traveled through each sign and the ruling planet was within it or at a different placement then possibly the rise or fall of an empire was the consideration. Modern astrology has changed all that, now its intent is on the individual.

The twelve signs? The circle with the perfect circle in the middle - all that comprises the one perfect circle with which the sun/son would travel with its cohorts.

Astrology is good for seeing what one has chosen to incarnate into relative to how the energies at that time are 'fixed'

Astrology relates to the body/mind, not to the indwelling animator, which is of all there is - God.

God is the animator, the light, the love indwelling in this body of energy, which astrology talks of.

We are energy, energy moves.

"Science" is a label, I see "science" as a set of understandings that have been thought by some people, and then researched by others, until it is 'proven'

"Science" does not allow that thought changes the experiment and research.

"Science" finds it difficult to understand that that it can not 'prove', eg intuition, the energy of plants, it seems to put most of its substance to the human minds ability, as though it was God.

The mind is a mere activity, there is nothing new under the sun, we are just learning to remember what we always and already know.

well the planetary entities do exert forces on earth, such as tidal waves and weather. since humans and all animals are sensing beings, planetary forces will be felt. to what extent, i dont know. but i do not put much belief into astrology.

Funny how beliefs that aren't our own are "a bunch of crap"..
