What's so bad about being evolved from monkeys?

People get so huffy about the idea that we evolved from primates. Why? Monkeys are very smart and interesting creatures. Would it be better if scientists were claiming we'd evolved from cute bunny rabbits? I just don't see why there's all this hate against monkeys.

I never really understood that we evolved from monkeys so why do we still have monkeys if we evolved from them wouldnt they evolve too and we'd no longer have monkeys I dont get it. to me were just a different kind of species like every other animal the whole monkey thing dosnt make sense to me

We never evolved from monkeys. We are humans created by God. Monkeys don't have a soul but we do. Monkeys are just animals like cats, dog, pigs,horses, and goats.

If we evolved from monkey...why do monkeys still exist? Why haven't monkeys evolved? Oh wait that is us humans. We evolved from monkeys. So what about the monkeys that did not evovle? Where they like defective? I really don't get the whole evolution theories. IF something truely evovles than the former state it evolved from should cease to exist. Correct? So what are humans going to evolve into? Oh don't tell me us humans are not going to evovle. That would be silly.



By the way I don't believe the evolution theories.

i dont believe we came for monkeys nor do i believe the bible which i dont see why people do because the bible was never intended to be taken literal but i not ruling out evolution but evolution til this date is only a theory and not a fact and the gaps that remain for that theory of monkey in to man seriously puts my doubts in it so maybe we dont come from monkeys but another branch of humaniod primate i dunno nor do i really care about then than now
