Question:
The 4th Commandment is 'You shall remember & keep the Sabbath day holy' but why no mention of global timezones?

Depending on what part of the planet you are on you could be working on a Sunday if you are a few feet further east than you ought to be. This commandment is meaningless if God does not also describe exactly where humanity should draw the lines on the globe. These lines have changed over the centuries because mankind has changed it's mind about where the lines should be drawn, Does God allow for the clocks going forward or back according to the time of year?

Why didn't God provide everyone with a digital watch? How can we KNOW exactly when a Sabbath starts or finishes without very precise information? God never supplied a map of the world with timelines OR digital watches OR GPS devices either. Why not?! This makes the 4th Commandment entirely open to interpretation which is the last thing a Commandment should be!

Does anyone have a proper explanation for God's oversight?

The sabbath command is located within the confines of the old covenant, which was a legally binding agreement between the two parties, God and the Israelites. We are not a party to that covenant. Also, that covenant ended. With its passing went the conditions of that covenant also.

An Israelite could not keep the Passover if he or she was out of the country of Israel. Why people think they could keep the sabbath outside of Israel, where this problem develops regarding the international dateline, is amazing.

But again, it is all rendered a moot point when you understand the nature of the old covenant, and the fact it ended.

Timezones don't exist, people just use them as an excuse not to worship God

When it falls on whichever timezone you're governed by, obviously.
