Question:
Still troubled by "Jesus is God".?

I'm a muslim very much attracted to Christianity (I'm currently reading the Bible and find it spiritually nourishing).

However, one of the key doctrines (THE key doctrine?) of Jesus being, not just the son of God, but God Himself is rather troubling to me.

Can anyone out there help me understand this? (serious answers only, please. This is no joke).

I hope I can help. I am not going to quote scripture many people already have. I am at this moment praying for the right words to bring you to this understanding.

I am a one God believing Christian. The Bible says over and over and over again, even after the birth of Jesus, through out the "Old and New Testament" there is only ONE God.

I believe that Muslims, Jews, and Christian alike also believe that GOD is a spirit, everywhere at once, ever present, and invisible to the human eye.

The question then becomes: If Jesus was born doesn't that make him a separate deity? Well the Bible then again makes the statement that there is only one God. (after the birth of Jesus and by Jesus himself) So this does seem to be confusing.

So here is my answer.

We believe that God placed a part of his spirit inside of Mary's egg. When this happened, God quickened the egg to life and to grow without normal fertilization. We also believe that this was the only spirit and soul that the flesh, known as Jesus, ever had. We believe that the flesh could not have existed on its own, without the spirit of God. Because he had no soul of his own.

The other problem is... God CAN NOT die. This is true. We feel that God left the body just before the flesh died. Then re-entered the body. When God's spirit came back into the flesh it was instantly healed and quickened back to life.

We believe that for humans to be completely forgiven after "the fall" , a human without sin had to die. The sacrifices in the "Old Testament" would only push the sins "ahead one year". This was a never ending process.

However there could never be a human without sin. Only God is perfect. That is why he chose to come down this way.

There was a law of sin and death (I will get scriptures for you if you ask) Which caused Satan had some control. He tries to get people to sin to separate them from God. Then he uses all his power to kill a person to separate them from God forever.

But when he could not persuade Jesus to sin, he used all his power to get him killed. When this death occurred, Satan broke this law. The law became null and void. He killed a man without sin.

My God is an awesome God. He is powerful and great, and I love him with my whole heart.

The best explanation I ever heard was by Irvin Baxter, Jr. He uses scripture to back himself up. And explains it step by step. I have sited his Bible study below.

please email me at followingmyjesus@earthlink.net if there are anymore questions.

I just read the answers about the orange, the egg, the shamrock, the water, etc. Mine is sort of similar. This is how it was explained to me when I was little (I am a Christian). Think of God as an apple. The peel, the flesh, and the seeds combine to make one whole fruit. We can see the peel, like we could see Jesus when He lived on Earth. The seeds are hidden inside, like the Holy Spirit is in our hearts. And the flesh is what nourishes us, like the words of the Father written in Scripture. All three can be saparated from one another, and can serve different purposes, but all three are at the same time still an apple. I know this isn't entirely explanatory, but who can really explain God? Even Scripture says that this is something that needs to be understood through faith alone.

I'm going to attempt to explain the Holy Trinity of God-the father, God-the son (Jesus), and God-the Holy Spirit in an over simplified analogy used when I was a child. All 3 of these father, son, & holy spirit are God. It is somewhat similar to an egg in the way the egg has a shell, a yolk, and the albumen (the part that turns white when cooked). They are 3 separate things, but they are also an egg.

I hope this helps a little, but it is confusing to everyone, because we are human and God is a concept that our minds can not truly understand in great detail. We must accept what the Bible says about him on faith. That is the whole basis of most religions. We can not see or touch the air around us, but we are certain of its existance due to the fact that without it, we would not exist.

God is a divine being of infinte power and wisdom... When His Son died here for us... God resurrected Him from the and He ascended to heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of the Father.

They are ONE... Jesus was God... the personification of God... the "almighty incarnate" so to speak. He was flesh then... but He's spirit now.

They are united and made ONE by the Holy Spirit... Which then makes God THREE in one... The TRIUNE GOD. Father Son Holy Spirit.

Although it may sound oxymoronic to someone new to the teachings of Christ... and even baffling now to those who are raised Christian... We must keep in mind that GOD is awsome.

He created us, this world, and everything in it... Even time itself... He created it!... He is from a different realm which were will not know until our time on this earth is over.

He is greater than us, and His ways of thinking are so much greater and higher than ours. Therefore we cannot even begin to comprehend the way He works, or what He consists of.

All we can do is give Him praise... because He is worthy.

taken from the decision of the Council of Nicea, they use the term "homo ousios", meaning The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are the same in being, sharing that divinity, all equally God, but different in person, ie. the Father is not the Son, etc. For example, one can be a father, a teacher, and a sports coach, all at the same time, yes? But he is not performing all these duties at the same time. Jesus is simply God's divinity in a human form, however, he was not physically a true human, but more of the image of man. He had the holiness and divinity, and power of God, but was being restricted by a human form, so he still had the characteristics of God, they were just not brought forth.

plse dont rush into other beliefs unless u ar convinced of your belief. did u ever try reading ur own quran . are u having doubts. why ? if u cannot believe in one unseen GOD how can u swallow the 3 IN 1 THEORY which all christians have but they are not brave enough to tell others . Also asked them , who will be accepted by lord CHRIST if he is the real savior of mankind ? the CATHOLIC version of christians or the other versions of christians . ( there are a 1000 denominations of them ) who is our real savior ? MARY OR CHRIST ? dnt confuse yourself. u are asking a question which most christians do not know or do not pretend to know. IF Christ is god , the father is god and the holy spirit is god , then again it doesnt matter , all those GODS , THE GREEK GODS, THE NUMEROUS GODS OF OUR ANCESTORS, LORD SHIVA ,LORD KRISHNA AND OTHER thousands of lords and gods are the same . I CANNOT UNDERSTAND THIS ALSO. the best thing is to remain in your own belief/ study it thoroughly and find out why u cant except your own religion first and then try to understand other faith and beliefs. At the end of the road, it is all faith that counts. all reasoning and logics of trying to prove 3 in 1 with oranges or chicken eggs is stupidity because human reasoning must bow to revelation . When i say revelation, the QURAN is the muslims revelation , CHRIST is the christians revelation and so on for other faiths and beliefs . my best advice is to stick to your religion and study it thoroughly until u can convince yourself why it is not convincing enough before u jump the wagon. GOD BLESS YOU.

You've probably read by now the Gospel of John; so you understand some of the problems the early christians had with regards to answering the question: Who is Jesus, really? God, man, angel, ???? The bible doesn't leave a lot of room for debate in responding to the question, Jesus claims equality with God, the apostles testify that the 'fullness of the Godhead' dwelt in him, and that he created all things. In fact in Heb 1, the author quotes a Psalm where we see God the father, calling Jesus God and worshipping him. And yet the early christains were all Jews who were devout monotheists.

So how can Jesus be God and God still be one? The answer the early christians came up with was the trinitarian nature of the Godhead. That is that God is one God, that exists in 3 persons that are revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Just as we are multi-cellular beings, God is a multi-persona being. Hard to grasp? I agree, but then what would we expect from God?

Furthermore the deity of Christ was necessary for redemption. Paul's argument in Romans is that the only righteousness that is acceptable to God, is his own. That is his perfect standard can only be met by himself. Therefore he became a man in the person of Jesus to offer himself up as a perfect sacrifice, able to fully satisfy God's justice. Believers in Jesus are now righteous before God, because Christ's righteouness is imputed to them (2 Cor 5v21).

This idea is not altogether foriegn to the Jewish OT. Where we see God, the angel of the Lord's face, and the Spirit of God. Additionally, one of the more common names of God, Elohim, is plural.

This is difficult truth to grasp, particularly coming from your background, I trust that you will not find it too dificult to accept. It is the only way to be true to what the scriptures are saying.

dude, catholics believe in whats known as the trinity, the father(god), the son(Jesus), and the holy spirit(I still dint know who the hell this dude is), for some reason they think all three are one, that is why I left the church, way to confusing for me. If I am a child of god as are all his children, who then is Jesus that I must bow to him, did not god choose us above all others, why do this just to put another above us- no my friend, Jesus is not god, he was a son of god in the same way that you and I are sons of god, do not allow your curiosity in Christianity make you forget what you already know to be true- There is only one god, and only god is god. To bridge the gap between man and god the church made Jesus a divine face we can see, remember, Jesus was Hebrew, if modern Jews don't believe he was the son of god, why the hell would you-God have mercy on the man who doubts what he's sure of

the Trinity is a hard thing to understand... but i will explain the best i can.. in Old Testament God traveled with his people in a box. an ark if you will to show the people that he would guide them.. their trust was week because they could not approach Him, so God decided that he would become man to live on the earth as one of us, so he sent his son Jesus Christ as a man.. again the people did not believe and did not trust and so they killed him.. so God decided that he would go one step further and for those who call upon him he would send his Spirit to live inside them to guide them and give them the power to tell others of his love... there is only one God but there are three parts to his being.. the Father (Old Test) the son ( man) and the Spirit ( now).. God will return again on the Mt. of Olives and call his people.. then my friend you will see the truth.. I am very proud to know that you are seeing the truth ... only one God made a sacrifice by sending his son to die for us.. there in only one way to get to the father and that is through the son..... keep reading and He will show you the truth!!

In Acts 7:55-56 Stephen sees Jesus standing on the right hand of God and is stoned for claiming he saw this.

Not all christian denominations believe Jesus and God are the same being. I am mormon, and contrary to popular belief, mormons are christian, and one of our main teachings is that Jesus and God are two seperate beings. I don't know about other christian denominations because I've only been mormon, so I will give you a mormon site that you can learn about what mormon's believe as opposed to other christians, but I would still urge you to check out other churches as well.

As you can see many people have different opinions about who God is. It seems that people want to put limits on a unlimited God. God can do whatever he wants. He can come to earth in what ever form he wants to. He can make a son if he wanted to.

It seems you are searching for God with a sincere heart. God tells us in the Bible that if we seek him out we will find him. I believe since you are sincerely seeking him out that the truth of what you are seeking will be on this site. He will answer you question.

My opinion of who God is doesn't matter. My belief of who God is doesn't matter. I do know that I truly sought him and He revealed to me where he was. So I right now speak and write this blessing over your journey.

May God give you a clear sign that you might see him. May God honor your sincere heart. May God reveal truth to you that was once veiled. May you find hope in an everlasting God. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

I would say concentrate on the Gospel of John for now. Pay attention to the claims Jesus makes about Himself and ask yourself could someone who was just a man speak that way? Compare how the prophets, who were just men, would point people to believe in God, while Jesus points people to believe in Him (which is not to say He never refered to the Father).

Have you heard this before? Consider it carefully, it will help you resolve your question. Based on the claims Jesus made of Himself he was either a liar, a lunatic or LORD.

For example, if a man came up to you and told you that, 'he was the resurrection and the life, if you believe in him you'll never die!', what would you think? Most importantly, what if it was true? Now, apply that to Jesus.

God is one, but three offices or jobs etc. God the Father, God the son ,and God the Holy Spirit. God is able to be everywhere at once. As The Son(Jesus) he does a different job than as the Holy Spirit. I wish you the best.

Who is on the Heavenly Throne is God

A king is a man who sits on the throne of a kingdom. Similarly, who is on the Heavenly Throne in Heaven is God. Is it true?

Therefore, if the described Persons are on the Heavenly Throne then they are Gods.

The apostle John describes God the Father and His likeness, so He is not just any Spirit but the complete being and He is God because is on the God's Throne. (Revelation 4:2, 3)

He holds the book (Scroll) and it is the real thing belonging just to the Heavenly Throne and God the Father.

Then Jesus Christ comes on the scene in the chapter five of the book Revelation. He comes on the Throne and so must be the Real God as God the Father is. Yet he takes the real thing the Book or the Scroll from His hand.

Read Revelation 5.

In the moment of Christ's coming on God's Throne, Seven Spirits change his likeness. He does not look anymore as the Man but as God. The Seven Spirits immediately became the eyes of Christ Jesus (and seven horns are added to his likeness to be God; Revelation 5:6)

Seven Spirits were at the Heavenly Throne during Jesus Christ ministry and the Bible speaks THEY ARE SPIRIT OF GOD. (4:5).

The conclusion is God the Son is God and His Spirit, so Spirit of God are Seven Spirits. Then He left His Spirit (Seven Spirits) on the Heavenly Throne and became in body the man during his ministry on the earth. According to the apostle John's vision, he became again as the complete God because own Body and own Seven Spirits again.

Repeatedly, Jesus Christ is God but for sake to save people become the man. He had to be a man to save people. If he would be God then the redemption should be applied also for fallen angels (Satan). He is again (now) God because sits on the right side of God the Father. (Acts 7:55, Hebrews 1:3)

He must be God because is on the Heavenly Throne. He will return as God in order to destroy enemies of his job, people who hate the redemption done by him and rather look for other possibilities to be saved.

He, although was God, became the man and lived as the righteous man and so died the righteous man for sinners. God the Father had to resurrect him and to accept this redemption because saw God (the Son) in Christ Jesus.

I hope this will help.

dear friend sometimes the most difficult questions have the most easiest answers. u see before the creation of the universe god had given the task of creation to one of its three personalities[father-son-holyspirit} the son to create the universe, the angels and everything included in the universe.the bible says that he is the menifestion of the father through the son. all the three persaonalities are god. like u as a human have many personalities such as u most be a son a brother or a father. all the qualities or personalities are in a single person so the father the son the holyspirit are persaonalities of god. all are equal.and jesus became his own creation{man] to save mankind is the most beautiful example of love.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All are God, whilst all being separate. For example, if you took an orange and cut it in 3, you would have three separate segments, each part of the orange, and all put together are the orange. I don't know how I can help you understand but I wonder which particular version of the bible you are reading. I know some Christian religions believe that God and Jesus are the same but some believe they are different. I think those who belive they are the same, assume that Jesus was God and he came down to Earth himself to die. I personally think that this version makes less sense though.

One easy way to think about Jesus also being God is to use an analogy. Water can come in three forms, water, ice, and vapor, but all three are still water. God also is manifested in three beings, God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are three entities, yet still one God.

Christians claim that in the birth of Jesus there occurred the miracle of the incarnation of God in the form of a human being. To say that God became truly a human being invites a number of questions. Let us ask the following about the alleged truly man- truly god Jesus. What happened to his foreskin after his circumcision (Luke 2:21)? Did it ascend to heaven, or did it decompose as with any human piece of flesh? During his lifetime what happened to his hair, nails, and blood shed from wounds? Did the cells of his body die as in ordinary human beings? If his body did not function in a truly human way, he could not be truly human as well as truly God. Yet, if his body functioned exactly in a human way, this would nullify any claim to divinity. It would be impossible for any part of God, even if incarnate, to decompose in any way and still be considered God. By definition, not mystery, the everlasting, one God, in whole or in part, does not die, disintegrate, or decompose: "For I the Lord do not change" (Malachi 3:6). Did Jesus' flesh dwell in safety after his death? 1 Peter 3:18 states Jesus was "put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit." 1 Corinthians 15:44-45 claims Jesus was "raised a spiritual body," that is, he "became a life-giving spirit." No mention of the survival of the flesh is alluded to. In Acts 2:31, it is claimed Peter stated that following the alleged resurrection Jesus' body did not see decay. Paul is alleged to have also made this claim (Acts 13:34-37). However, unless Jesus' body never underwent "decay" during his lifetime he could not be God, but if it did not undergo "decay" then he was not truly human.

Jesus is the son of God Jesus is the one that die on the cross for us. Christians actually believe in the trinity. God, the Father. God, the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God, the Son is Jesus who became flesh through the virgin Mary, and sacrificed himself as atonement for our sins so that all who believe in him and accept him as their savior will go to heaven when they die.

There are forms of Christianity that are not so strict about Jesus being "GOD". My tradition believes that Jesus was a man who obtained enlightenment and became the Christ. Any reference that talks about Divinity is referring to the Christos, not the man (in my tradition). We believe that this is something that we can obtain also (as Jesus says, you will do even greater things than I).

Refer to what St. Patrick said about God being three beings in one; the father, the son and the holy spirit. He uses the analogy of the shamrock. That may help to clear it up.

you should be troubled by it. As it is not true. Jesus Christ is the Son of God> He was constantly in touch with His Father in Heaven, while on earth. The only time He was not in touch with His Father when he was crucified, when He cried out with a loud voice, "MY God, My God why hast thou forsaken me." This was the dark period where He bore our sins and infirmities, which seperated Him from the Love of His Father. As God is Holy and sin and God cannot walk together. He did this willingly as it was His Father's will, to give His life for the people. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that all who believe on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." His love for the Father was so great that He left his heavenly dwelling place to die this shamefull death, so that we could be reconciled through Him with God the Father.

The last enemy to be destroyed was death, by overcoming death, He is able to lead everyone, who believes on Him through the valley of death into His heavenly kingdom.

Hope this helps God bless

Mandingo:

as you've read these answers you can see that Christians themselves don't agree on the trinity doctrine.

I believe in the Trinity. One God in three natures, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I'm Catholic and our faith teaches that some things just can't be explained. These things are called the "mysteries of our faith."

How can I explain how the Trinity works? One God, three Persons? I can't. But I believe it. That's where my faith in God allows me to accept this mystery of my faith.

Email me if I can help explain anymore. Some things we as mortals just can't explain. It's for these things that God gives us our faith. God says its so--so I believe it even though I can't explain it.

Good luck in your Bible study and your search.

I do not believe in the trinity. I believe in the FATHER, the SON, and the HOLY GHOST. the whole 3in1 thing just doesn't fly with me. People have misinterpreted and been taught this for so many years and it doesn't even make sense. even in reading the scriptures it doesn't make sense. Read Luke 5:12-26. The Pharisees were asking the same thing as you. Christ forgives a paralytic's sins, and they respond by saying only God can forgive sins. Christ answers by saying, what's easier to say, I fogive your sins, or to heal the man, and make him walk. He then proceeds to heal the man and make him walk to prove He has the power to forgive sins. Like the Pharisees said, only God forives sins.

Hope this helps.

The holy spirit

they are all one, yet jesus (the son) came down to earth as a man to teach us.

the father the son and the holy spirit are one whithin the traingle. does that help?

The God of the New Testament, or Jehovah, is referring to the Savior, Jesus Christ, before his entry into the world to take upon himself a body that He would sacrifice to save us. He was crucified for us and had the power to take up His body again and be resurrected to overcome physical death. That's only part of what He did for us.

All of us will able to be resurrected and have a body again someday after we die thanks to Jesus Christ.

The thought of God being in three parts come from when Jesus revealed himselves to the desciples after he was crucified and returned to earth. They were wanting him to stay with them and they could not understand why he had to leave and descend into heaven. Jesus explained, in so many words," I cannot live on this earth anymore, but I have sent you a comforter, the Holy Spirit, who will live with you always." We first, know that God is the creator of everything. He is the source and the one who answers when we call and the one who, because of Jesus, can commune with us directly, in a intimate way. Jesus was the vessel used to get us back in fellowship with God after the fall on man in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. He was sent here by God, with God's spirit breathed only into a virgin to be born of flesh and blood, only to die as the ultimate sacrifice to once again connect us with God. In relationship to the Holy Spirit, whos job is to come in when we accept Jesus as our savior when we repent our sins to God. That is how they tie hand in hand, being recognized as one being in three separate parts. We know that they are definately single in their own because the bible says that Jesus is seated on the right hand of the Father, forever interceding on our behalf. The Holy Spirit is what connects us to God, keeping us on track, acting as our concious. God is our source, the one and only one who forgives us of our sins once we except His son Jesus into our lives.

Google the "Johannine Comma", and you'll be even more uncertain about whether this Jesus fellow was "God" or the Holy Spirit, or whether it's all just wind in sails.

Jesus is God, because he was at one with God.

Through his great at-one-ment with God, he was able to perform many miracles. People are greater or less at one with God, by their greater at-one-ment with God they are empowered to create miracles, by their lesser at-one-ment with God they create their miseries by wrong doings.

The word Christ or Messiah is the equivalent of the Islamic term Imam Madhi. You do not have to renounce your faith to embrace christianity or any other religions for all are sent by just one God. You do not have to believe my words either. It is human errors that have made us quarrel because we cannot reconcile religions with the fact that there is only one God, we may call Him many names but He is only one. Doctrines were transcribed by man and modified by him through the ages to suit his purposes. God's purpose cannot be defiled by the wrong doings of man. It is man's imperfection that manifests war and negativities in this world.

Good for you for reaching beyond your religious teachings and learning about other religions. If more people did this, there would be far less religious hatred in the world.

Here is a great, well written article that addresses your concerns:

Jesus was only a Jew religious philosopher, perhaps a rabbi. He was not God because there is no God. And no Allah isn't real either. Allah is nothing more than the pre-Islamic pagan moon god.

Jesus is revered as the son of GOD and that is wht he is and we all are to sons and daughters of GOD. it is up to us how worthy we become by our deeds to GOD. jesus was the closest to god by his deeds and service to fellow people.

GOD manifests himself through mortals like Jesus / Mohammad etc. who are closest to him. being the closest does not mean being equal to GOD. no one can equal god. he is teh supreme entity.

At present, you are a Muslim, and you believe that you have an eternal "soul!" In our limited human language... you could define your soul as the essence of your spiritual nature. You have a finite (limited to a lifetime) physical nature... and an infinite (eternal gifted life)spiritual nature. These two natures come together to create your present soul. Now... our soul/spiritual nature cannot be sensed by our 5 senses of sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell... but we know there we have an eternal soul/spiritual nature. Well God is a TOTAL spiritual God, and just as you have different aspects to your personal nature... your personality... i.e... you are a son, brother, father, husband, friend...etc... each of these aspects of you interact differently with other people... you have different aspects of your TOTAL PERSON that interact within your present existence... Well God has different aspects to His TOTAL PERSON... He is God... the "Uncaused Cause"... God..."The First Source and Center"... but he also became active in another aspect of his TOTAL PERSON... and that active aspect of God became... THE CREATOR... THE SON. This Son is the aspect of God that is ACTIVE in Creation... in the created physical realm... and there is an aspect of God's TOTAL PERSON that is active in the spiritual realm... the realm of angels... spiritual beings... and that is the aspect of the TOTAL GOD we call the HOLY SPIRIT... The SON OF GOD consented to come to earth as the human called Jesus. That was his name... his title is "Christ"... which means "savior - redeemer." So his name/title is: Jesus, the Christ and we have shortened this to Jesus Christ. Now...Jesus consented to take on the human life form to come and teach mankind... and to try to upgrade their knowledge of God, His Father... He called himself the "Son of Man" during his lifetime... but there were times when he spoke of himself as the "Son of God" at his trial before Pilate (was one time)... So, Jesus took a limited life and was subject to the human form that demanded a death to the human life... and he endured his death on the cross...but all during his life... He retained his SPIRITUAL NATURE as God...The SON OF GOD, The Second Person of the Triune God, The Creator of all... just as you retain your various natures of father, brother, son, parent, friend... all these personal natures in one person... YOU!!! It does take a good dose of FAITH to put your belief in this truth... Jesus being the God Son... and Faith is defined as believing in something that is not provable... but we believe that truth as strongly as if it was proven... All things of God are not understandable with the limited mind of man... there are things that are left to learn and understand in our eternal existence after we die... I am content to believe with FAITH what I cannot fully comprehend now during my life... and look forward to learning much more in eternity...what fun that will be!!!

JESUS IS NOT GOD! JESUS IS NOT GODS SON. HE IS GODS PROPHET.

TO SAY GOD HAS KIDS IS LIKE YOU ARE PUTTING SOMEONE UP ON THE PEDESTAL WITH HIM. WE ARE ALL HIS CREATIONS.

JESUS IS NOT A TRINITY EITHER.

I am answering your question not because I claim to be knowledgeable but because I myself need some answers. This could be long but please bear with me as you read along because I have nothing in mind but clear up some confusion myself. I want to give this a shot but I don't know if I will be able to answer your question as you expect it.

I am a Christian and during my infancy, I was baptized in the Roman Catholic church without me knowing it. My parents did it for me.

They celebrated my birth, my baptism, fed me, kept me warm, sent me to school hoping that I will become a good man someday. But their hope never had an assurance whatsoever because apart from them, I have my own thoughts which has molded my belief influenced by things around me. The only thing that they can do is keep their fingers crossed.

God gave me my will. The will to choose between what I percieve as right or wrong that eventually has molded my personal judgment. And that is what we now call freedom. The freedom to be you not influenced by any religion, family or government. But we have to realize that these influences will always be part and parcel of who we are and what we will become in the future. As a human being by nature, we are sociable and that we cannot separate society from our own selves.

Freedom can be very dangerous because this recipe, I realized later, is not for the immature. Freedom is not without responsibility and such accountability is, actually in reality, the one that makes people truly free. Am I confusing you? I hope not. That's why you will be able to see why there are obviously a lot of carefree, seemingly careless people in the free world and that gives a picture of being sinful depending on whose point of view. But the most important thing that count most is that people are absolutely free to chose his own path and decide for himself because that is the kind of freedom that GOD gave His subjects in order for His subject to be accountable for their individual sins. That's why SALVATION is individual and your biological father or mother can never answer for your personal sins as you live your own life.

But along the way, especially during your critical years (which is the adolescent age) like everybody else, a lot of mindboggling questions starts pestering your mind. And boy! you are in dire need of answers. This is now the time that your awareness on the world in part and life as a whole starts boiling and can easily be transformed into curiosity which if unguided, becomes confusion.

Confusion. Wow! This is where we start experimenting on things we don't usually understand and commit the dumbest mistakes of our lives and most of the time these are the mistakes that is difficult to forget even when we're old and gray. But on the hindsite, this is not pessimism after all because it is also from these mistakes that we can learn our most memorable lesson just as long as it is not fatal.

At this point in time, I thought I knew Jesus without realizing that, in reality, I never knew Him too well. I was carefree and careless and think what I want to think and do what I want to do just as long as I believe, it does not annoy or hurt other people. But what I didn't know is that I was hurting myself. Then a lot of challenges came along that oftentimes would make me think that I am a failure. But freedom is freedom and no one can dictate upon me what to think or do. So, with no other recourse, I decided I have to rise up again to these challenges because it is the only way how to do it.

But you know what made it easy? This may sound corny but this helped change my life and now I am a Physician.

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed

he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene he noticed two sets of

footprints in the sand: one belonging

to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,

he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of

his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very

lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he

questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow

you, you'd walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most

troublesome times in my life,

there is only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why when

I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,

I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering,

when you see only one set of footprints,

IT WAS THEN THAT I CARRIED YOU."

Now for you question about "JESUS IS GOD". I had doubts about this myself when I was younger. But If every single moment of my experience that convinced me that Jesus is God will be printed here, it will take a lifetime doing it because to some it took a lifetime knowing HIM and some never knew and accepted HIM at all. Science never accepted him because they want JESUS to proove to them that he is real like Sacarias did, or Pontius Pilate or the Jews themselves. The wise never accepted him because to the wise, proof is needed. To those who believe, their is no need to see because the marks of authenticity is in their hearts that is almost impossible to explain. And that what blinds others from the real TRUTH.

But as I read and researched because of my own doubts myself, I looked for the truth inside my heart, not only the truth that the Holy Book gave me. I realized that when people during Jesus' time believed, they never had one Holy Book with them. What they had was faith and good deeds and that what made them righteous. Finally, by looking at each person as Jesus Christ, I can make difficult things simple in that I felt as if nothing is impossible because of HIM and I knew then and confess that JESUS is GOD.

My dear Muslim friend, Do not be confused. Most Christians do not know the Bible.

Fewer still have an understanding of the Godhead. For it takes a Spiritual Revelation to fully comprehend.

Do not listen to ignorance.

The Bible says Jesus is God.

For even the very NAME of JESUS (Yehoshua/Y'Shua/Isa) means, 'JEHOVAH IS OUR SALVATION' (ISAIAH 45:21).

The evidence is overwhelming...

I TIMOTHY 3:16

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

COLOSSIANS 2:8,9

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

JOHN 14:9

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

ISAIAH 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

MATTHEW 1:21

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

MATTHEW 1:23

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

God became flesh.

This is very apparent from the above verses.

Jesus Christ, the LAMB OF GOD/SON OF GOD/FLESH & BLOOD MAN

is the WORD EXPRESSED (LOGOS). The idea of thought of God becoming flesh, was with Him from before the World was made...

JOHN 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

And that LOGOS became flesh...

JOHN 1:14

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Notice it says, AS OF. Because God has no father or mother. No beginning of days. No end of life. He is eternal. But the Son had a beginning (as a flesh & blood man).

He also has only ONE NAME...that is above EVERY name...

JOHN 10:25

Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

ACTS 2:38

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

EPHESIANS 1:21

Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

So if there are 2 other persons in the Godhead, then they're names are powerless. Whoever heard of God's name being powerless?

The Word says His name is SALVATION...

ACTS 4:12

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

And there is only ONE NAME that everyone will confess and bow to...

PHILIPPIANS 2:10,11

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

(compare the above with ISAIAH 45:23)...

ISAIAH 45:23

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

JEHOVAH, of the Old Testament, is JESUS of the New.

And "RIGHT HAND" means POWER & AUTHORITY. This is throughout the Old Testament...(EXODUS 15:6 is just one example of many).

Read carefully what this verse says...

MATTHEW 26:64

Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

For if it literally means that the Saviour (as a 2nd person) is sitting at the Father's Right Hand, then that would make God a liar...and we know God cannot lie.

For He said this of Himself...

ISAIAH 45:21

Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

The flesh was the Son. The Spirit is the Father.

He is ONE GOD in 3 MANIFESTATIONS/MINISTRIES/

OFFICES.

FATHER...above us.

SON...with us.

SPIRIT...in us.

FATHER (Lord)

SON (Jesus)

SPIRIT (Christ)

EPHESIANS 4:5,6

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

There is not ONE, SINGLE Verse anywhere in the Bible that says God is 3 PERSONS.

That is PAGANISM.

The DOCTRINE OF THE TRINITY (that says God is 3 SEPARATE PERSONS), is a Roman Catholic doctrine from the Council of Nicea 325 A.D. Even the Catholic Encyclopedia says this.

Nowhere does the Bible ever say that God is SEPARATE PERSONS.

He is ONE...

DEUTERONOMY 6:4

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

MARK 12:29

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

If God were 3 separate persons, then how do Trinitarians explain this next verse...

HEBREWS 1:3

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Jesus was the EXPRESS IMAGE of God. The Express Image of HIS 'PERSON' (singular, not plural).

And He does NOT change (MALACHI 3:6 - HEBREWS 13:8).

God never changes WHO HE IS...WHAT HE IS.

It is only WE who change...and therefore God has had to minister to us in different ways or, offices.

He BECAME a Son....so He could shed His blood and cleanse us from all sin.

Ask yourself this, if Jesus, the man, is seperate from God, the Father, then how can a Spirit bleed?...

ACTS 20:28

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Jesus name is not even mentioned in the above verse. Because He is one and the same with the Father...which is the Holy Spirit/Ghost.

Ask this also, how many Spirits does God have?

One right?

Then if Jesus is separate from the Holy Spirit, then who is this verse talking about...

PHILIPPIANS 1:19

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

And in this next verse, Jesus confirms that He and the Holy Spirit are one and the same person...

JOHN 14:17.18

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

For we know that there are not 2 spirits of God.

At John 8:31,32 reads: "“If YOU remain in my word, YOU are really my disciples, 32 and YOU will know the truth, and the truth will set YOU free.” (Yes, free from false religious teachings!) An example of this is the TRINITY!

No where in the Bible is its made CLEAR that Jesus Is God!

First of all, The Bible is the Word of Truth from God-JHVH/YHWH. Therefore, if our salvation depends upon knowing him, then HE would not allow such confusion to cloud of reasoning as to who He or Jesus really is/was. Therefore, "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight,"-2 Tim 3:16. Consider the following please:

1. The question we need to ask our self is, If belief in the Trinity is so important to our salvation why isn't the WORD Trinity on the concept of three beings being one found in the Bible?

2. If Jesus is also equal to his father in terms of God-ship, why at John 17:1, 3 in prayer to his father (God) that he refers to his father as the “ONLY true God”. John tells us according to the Savior Himself that the Father is the 'Only True God,' NOT the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit but the Father ALONE is the Only True God.

3. If Jesus was GOD, then why in Mark 12:29 Jesus said "Here, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord."

4. The words "our God" indicate that Jesus had a higher God over him, a stronger God than him. Jesus didn't say "Your God". He said "our God" which includes Jesus as the creation of GOD.

5. If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 20:17 Jesus said I ascend to my God and your God? This tells us that Jesus and we have a common GOD. John also tells us that the Only True God, Yahweh, is not only our God and Father, but He is also the God and Father of our Messiah, Yahoshua.

6. If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 14:28 Jesus said "My Father (GOD) is greater than I"?

7. If Jesus was GOD, then why in Luke 23:46 Jesus said "Father (GOD), into thy hands I commend my spirit"?

8. If Jesus was GOD, then why in Matthew 19:16 Jesus said "Why call me good, there is none good but One,

9. If Jesus was GOD, then why in Matthew 26:39 Jesus begged his GOD to have mercy on him and to pass the cup to death (kill Jesus in another words) before Jesus goes through the pain of crucifixion?

10. If Jesus was GOD, then why in Matthew 24:36 Jesus told his followers that no one (including Jesus) knows when the judgment day will come, only GOD knows?

11. If Jesus was GOD, then why in Isaiah 11:2-3 GOD had put the spirit of fearing GOD in Jesus?

12. If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 5:31 Jesus told his followers that if he (Jesus) bears witness of himself, then his record is not true?

13. If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 5:30 Jesus told his followers that he can't do a single thing of his own initiative?

14. If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 5:32 Jesus told his followers that they have never seen GOD at anytime nor ever heard his voice?

15. If Jesus was GOD, then why in Matthew 26:39 Jesus fell on his face and prayed to his GOD?

16. The "God" (theos in Greek) title literally with Jesus in Isiah 9:6 and they don't take it literally for the rest of the prophets and people who were called Gods?

Now consider various citations regarding the Error of the Trinity, by Roman Catholic Theologians, Protestants, Scholars & Historians, etc:

A. A Dictionary of Religious Knowledge says: “Precisely what that doctrine is, or rather precisely how it is to be explained, Trinitarians are not agreed among themselves.”

B. Catholic theologian Hans Küng observes in his book 'Christianity and the World Religions' that the Trinity is one reason why the churches have been unable to make any significant headway with non-Christian peoples. He states: “Even well-informed Muslims simply cannot follow, as the Jews thus far have likewise failed to grasp, the idea of the Trinity. . . . The distinctions made by the doctrine of the Trinity between one God and three hypostases do not satisfy Muslims, who are confused, rather than enlightened, by theological terms derived from Syriac, Greek, and Latin. Muslims find it all a word game. . . . Why should anyone want to add anything to the notion of God’s oneness and uniqueness that can only dilute or nullify that oneness and uniqueness?”

C. A PROTESTANT publication states: “The word Trinity is not found in the Bible It did not find a place formally in the theology of the church till the 4th century.” (The Illustrated Bible Dictionary)

D. Catholic authority says that the Trinity “is not . . . directly and immediately [the] word of God.” New Catholic Encyclopedia.

E. The Catholic Encyclopedia also comments: “In Scripture there is as yet no single term by which the Three Divine Persons are denoted together. The word τρίας [tri'as] (of which the Latin trinitas is a translation) is first found in Theophilus of Antioch about A. D. 180. ... Shortly afterwards it appears in its Latin form of trinitas in Tertullian.”

F. Johannes Greber (1874) a former of Catholic priest in his book 'The Communication with the Spirit World of God' in page 371 was written, "As you see, the doctrine of a triune Godhead is not only contrary to common sense, but is entirely unsupported by the Scriptures".

G. ". . . it is a remarkable fact, that no single passage or verse of the Old or New Testament is received as an assured proof-text of the trinity by the unanimous consent of all Trinitarian writers: some ground their faith on one passage, some on another." A Religious Encyclopædia: or Dictionary of Biblical, Historical, Doctrinal, and Practical Theology, Based on the Real-Encyklopädie of Herzog, Plitt, and Hauck.

H. The Encyclopedia of Religion admits: “Theologians today are in agreement that the Hebrew Bible does not contain a doctrine of the Trinity.”

I. In his book The Triune God, Jesuit Edmund Fortman admits: “The Old Testament . . . tells us nothing explicitly or by necessary implication of a Triune God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. . . . There is no evidence that any sacred writer even suspected the existence of a [Trinity] within the Godhead. . . . Even to see in [the “Old Testament”] suggestions or foreshadowings or ‘veiled signs’ of the trinity of persons, is to go beyond the words and intent of the sacred writers.”

J. The New Encyclopedia Britannica observes: “Neither the word Trinity nor the explicit doctrine appears in the New Testament.”

K. The New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology similarly states: “The New Testament does not contain the developed doctrine of the Trinity. Also the Bible lacks the express declaration that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are of equal essence said [Protestant theologian Karl Barth].”

L. Yale University professor E. Washburn Hopkins affirmed: “To Jesus and Paul the doctrine of the trinity was apparently unknown; they say nothing about it. ”- Origin and Evolution of Religion.

M. Historian Arthur Weigall notes: “Jesus Christ never mentioned such a phenomenon, and nowhere in the New Testament does the word Trinity appear. The idea was only adopted by the Church three hundred years after the death of our Lord. ” The Paganism in Our Christianity.

N. The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation one God in three Persons was NOT solidly established, certainly NOT fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.” (1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

O. John L. McKenzie, S.J., in his Dictionary of the Bible, says: “The trinity of persons within the unity of nature is defined in terms of person and nature which are Greek philosophical terms; actually the terms do not appear in the Bible. The trinitarian definitions arose as the result of long controversies in which these terms and others such as ‘essence’ and substance were erroneously applied to God by some theologians.” (New York, 1965), p. 899.

P. Historiacal view: Alvan Lamson says in The Church of the First Three Centuries: “The modern popular doctrine of the Trinity . . . derives no support from the language of Justin [Martyr]: and this observation may be extended to all the ante-Nicene Fathers; that is, to all Christian writers for three centuries after the birth of Christ. It is true, they speak of the Father, Son, and . . . holy Spirit, but not as co-equal, not as one numerical essence, not as Three in One, in any sense now admitted by Trinitarians. The very reverse is the fact.”

Q. Joseph Henry Thayer, a theologian and scholar who worked on the American Standard Version, stated simply: “The Logos was divine, not the divine Being himself.”

R. Jesuit John L. McKenzie wrote in his Dictionary of the Bible: “Jn 1:1 should rigorously be translated . . . ‘the word was a divine being.’”

S. Historian Will Durant observed: “Christianity did not destroy paganism; it adopted it. . . . From Egypt came the ideas of a divine trinity.”

T. In the book Egyptian Religion, Siegfried Morenz notes: “The trinity was a major preoccupation of Egyptian theologians . . . Three gods are combined and treated as a single being, addressed in the singular. In this way the spiritual force of Egyptian religion shows a direct link with Christian theology.”

U. The Encyclopedia Americana notes: “The full development of Trinitarianism took place in the West, in the Scholasticism of the Middle Ages, when an explanation was undertaken in terms of philosophy and psychology.”

V. A Dictionary of Religious Knowledge notes that many say that the Trinity “is a corruption borrowed from the heathen religions, and ingrafted on the Christian faith.”

W. The New Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge shows the influence of this Greek philosophy: “The doctrines of the Logos and the Trinity received their shape from Greek Fathers, who . . . were much influenced, directly or indirectly, by the Platonic philosophy . . . That errors and corruptions crept into the Church from this source can not be denied.”

X. The Church of the First Three Centuries says: “The doctrine of the Trinity was of gradual and comparatively late formation; . . . it had its origin in a source entirely foreign from that of the Jewish and Christian Scriptures; . . . it grew up, and was ingrafted on Christianity, through the hands of the Platonizing Fathers.”

Y. In the book A Statement of Reasons, Andrews Norton says of the Trinity: “We can trace the history of this doctrine, and discover its source, not in the Christian revelation, but in the Platonic philosophy . . . The Trinity is not a doctrine of Christ and his Apostles, but a fiction of the school of the later Platonists.”

Z. The Encyclopedia Americana comments: “Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”

Jesus Christ's Witnesses Claim that Jesus is God

John 1:1 - John writes, "the Word was God." This is clear evidence of Jesus Christ's divinity.

(Note: in the Jehovah's bible, the passage was changed to "Word was a god." This is not only an

embarrassing attempt to deny the obvious divinity of Christ, but it also violates the first

commandment and Isaiah 43:10 because it acknowledges that there is more than one God).

Him (the Word who was God).

member of a kind. It does not mean created.

revealed from heaven with His angels.

Paul says this is Jesus' Kingdom.

John 6:68-69 - Peter confesses that Jesus is the Son of God who has the words of eternal life.

Jesus Christ Claims to be God

Matt. 4:7; Luke 4:12 - Jesus tells satan, "you shall not tempt the Lord your God" in reference to

Himself.

Matt. 5:21-22; 27-28; 31-32; 33-34; 38-39; 43-44 - Jesus makes Himself equal to God when He

declares, "You heard it said...but I say to you.."

Lord, which is God.

omnipresent.

unprecedented address to God and demonstrates Jesus' unique intimacy with the Father.

Luke 8:39 - Luke reports that Jesus said "tell how much God has done for you." And the man

declared how much Jesus did.

Luke 17:18 - Jesus asks why the other nine lepers did not come back to give praise to Him, God,

except the Samaritan leper.

Luke 19:38,40 - Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. If these were silent, the very

stones would cry out.

John 5:18 - Jesus claimed to be God. The Jews knew this because Jesus called God His Father

and made Himself equal to God. This is why Jesus was crucified.

John 5:21-22 - Jesus gives life and says that all judgment has been given to Him by the Father.

John 5:23 - Jesus equates Himself with the Father, "whoever does not honor the Son does not

honor the Father who sent Him."

John 6:38 - Jesus says, "For I have come down from heaven."

God raised Jesus to life.

John 10:30 - Jesus says, "I and the Father are one." They are equal. The Jews even claimed Jesus

made Himself equal to God. Jesus' statement in John 14:28, "the Father is greater than I," cannot

contradict John 10:30 (the Word of God is never in conflict). Jesus' statement in John 14:28

simply refers to His human messianic role as servant and slave, which He, and not the Father or

the Holy Spirit, undertook in the flesh.

John 10:36 - again, Jesus claims that He is "the Son of God."

John 10:38; 14:10 - "the Father is in me and I am in the Father" means the Father and Son are

God the Son.

John 14:6 - Jesus says "I am the way, and the truth and the life." Only God is the way, the truth

and the life.

John 16:15 - Jesus says, "all things that the Father has are Mine." Jesus has everything God has

which makes Him God.

John 16:28 - Jesus says that "He came from the Father and has come into the world."

John 17:5,24 - Jesus' desire is for us to behold His glory which He had before the foundation of

the world.

John 20:17 - Jesus distinguishes His relationship to the Father from our relationship by saying

"My Father and your Father."

Rev. 1:8 - God says He is the "Alpha and the Omega." In Rev. 22:13, Jesus also says He is the

"Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the beginning and the end." The only possible

conclusion one can reach is that Jesus is equal to the Lord God.

Rev. 1:17 - Jesus says again, "I am the First and the Last." This is in reference to the God

prophesied by Isaiah in Isaiah 44:6, 41:4, 48:12.

Rev. 1:18 - Jesus, the First and the Last, also says "I died, and behold, I am alive for evermore."

When did God ever die? He only did in the humanity of Jesus Christ our Lord and God.

Rev. 2:8 - Jesus again says, "The words of the First and the Last, who died and came to life."

When did God die and come to life? In our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
