Are ''terrorists'' the real terrorists, or are they just freedom fighters fighting for a good cause?

This is for a school project.

Like, are the terrorists the real terrorists or is America the real terrorists? Don't get offended if you're American please? Its just, America have fought so many wars over the years, and none of them have been on American soil (except for the civil war) they've all been on foreign soil, Iraq, Afghanistan.
US is always saying stuff about the ''terrorists'' but they can say absolutely ANYTHING they want to. Everyone believes what they see in the paper, right?
I can't really explain what I want to ask, its very hard to explain it lol.
Like Muslims have been offended and attacked over the years, the crusades and everything, but are they the ones in the wrong? Really? Maybe they're just fighting for whats happened to Muslims over the years?
Sorry if its hard to understand lol, its a VERY hard subject :P

Depends which side of the fence you sit on, If your homeland was invaded and over 1000 000 civilians were killed, your leader hung, a puppet government that have no control put in charge, hospitals sub standard, infrastructure destroyed ie hospitals, roads, electricity. And you decided to fight the invaders, and your main export oil taken from you, would you see yourself as a terrorist or somebody fighting for your countries freedom.?



But then if you were the people invading a country in a non sanctioned war, and used a terrorist attack ie 911, where NO IRAQI'S were responsible, but you needed your people to believe you so they back you, you would use fear and then saying you were going to get terrorists would be helpful to sway opinion, you would use the threat of terror attacks to scare people, you would hide the fact you were a country who helped arm and put in power the leader who "so called" supports terrorism. You would demonize and dehumanise those people so when you saw children burned by white phosphorous a weapon not allowed by the UN, to get people not to care and say they are all terrorist, you would also set up illegal camps outside the Geneva convection change the meaning of torture, the pay opposing tribes to dob each other in and keep them there against their will for years, in the guise of obtaining information in the fight against terror, so people in your country feel safe..



FACT- No iraqi's were involved in 911

-Osama didn't claim repsonsibilty, infact he flat out rejected it.

-Sadam was put in power by USA to help against Iran, hence why USA supported him during the Iran and Iraq war, (they also supplied Iran too)

- USA wanted to put a oil pipeline through Afghanistan but were rejected, the head of the company that woud of built it is the now new leader of Afghanistan backed by USA, and pipeline is getting built.

- Osama was on CIA payroll.

- Osama is more than likely dead, it was reported in India and Pakistan.... google it. why is the last video of Osama not even like him and the others tapes after that just audio

No one is a terrorist except the group Al Qaeda. The Americans just wants to get their hands on the rich and valuable resource which is called "OIL". Middle Easterners’ know that the OIL is theirs so the group who fought against Russia "MUJAHEDDIN" is now fighting America. The Muslim groups now want the Americans out of their land. So they launched numerous attacks such as 9/11 attacks to send a message that this is our land.

According to me, America is the terrorist group.

i believe terrorists are the real terrorists it all started when troops were sent into the middle east during the gulf war this upsetted some muslims bc troops were on "holy" ground. retaliation happened with 9/11 (no offense to any muslims i mainly mean the terrorist groups) but then again its like a cycle if the us hadnt gotten involved in all wars and actually let the countries fight on their own then how much destruction could have been avoided?

America has tried to liberate the people of Iraq and did from a inhuman dictator Saddam Hussein. And in doing so we have lost many young American Soldiers. These are the things Iraq and Afghan must learn to fight for themselves. Frankly, the American people are tired of fighting your wars, stand-up to Al-Quida, Hamas and all other Demonic Terrorists!!

Look at Iraq, for example. The Iraqi gvt is working with the US gvt to try to stabilize their country. It is the terrorists that want to destabilize the country and the gvt so they can take control for themselves. They dont care whats best for Iraq. They just want the power for themselves.





What exactly has the US done to the Muslims??????

That part of the world has been around a lot longer than the US and in many parts of it they are still living in poverty and oppression. Why after thousands of years of existance, long before the US ever existed, can they still not get their act together???



The US is an easy scapegoat dictators and really bad people have used in the Middle East to maintain their control. How does a dictator keep power? Keep their people poor, shut off from the rest of the world, in fear and give them a cause to fight against.

What is this great cause the Islamic terrorists are fighting against? Western values in their society? Oh no. The western world promotes freedom and the right to choose. This goes directly against the dictators ability to control their people. Of course they will brainwash and indoctrinate their people to fight against any outside force they see as a threat to their power.

Forget that its better for a society to be a free society. Dictators dont want free societies.





The islamic terrorists are fighting to keep their power and control over their people. It has nothing to do with what the west or the US has actually done. Its about keeping the people in their absolute control. The values of freedom and choice in the west threatens their power.

I think this subject might be easier for you to understand if you really look at the evolution and development of society and gvt in the west vs the middle east.

Look at how freer and more succesful nations managed to create the gvts they have to allow such freedoms vs how Middle Eastern dictatorships arose and why the people in the region allowed them to take over when the West fought against such limitations of freedoms.



This phenomenon isnt just unique to the Middle East, either. Why is it the US is so prosperous and stable and yet Mexico, which had pretty much the same resources and ability to become a 1st world nation as the US, is sooo messed up.



What makes a society willing and able to accept such corruption vs a society that recognizes whats going on and tries to stop and fix it?

Well what makes terrorists "terrorists" by definition is because they use scare tactics to get what they want. Like the Unibomber was a terrorist because he threatened to kill more people unless his manifesto was published. The terrorists that kidnap people and cut off their heads, obviously are terrorists for similar reasons.
