What does your user name mean and why did you choose it?

Ill go first. I chose Lucid Freedom because of the clarity and freedom I received when I became a Christian.

Sidenote: I asked this late last night and got some awesome responses; it amazed me how much we can learn from one another based on our user names alone.

AmyJane is not my real name. In high school my drama teacher always called me Amy for some reason, so after a while I just started answering to it rather than correcting him again and again. I've used it as a pseudo name ever since.

Amy can also be short for my real first name (though it's a bit of a stretch) & Jane is my actual real middle name. I like the thought of being able to use my actual initials (AJS) online if I need to, but since I don't go by "A" only people who don't know me would realize that.

Plus I do YA at work so it's good not to have my name all over the internet during business hours :)

I created my original username way back in the year 2000 on Yahoo as wat3rh0rseuk, then after being offline for a while, I forgot my password and created this one in 2005, I had a vision of a horse completely made of water for whatever reason, and so that's why I wanted a username as close to the actuall case sensitive as 'water horse' as possible.

WIlmadeene is the name of Natalie Wood in the movie Splendor in the Grass which I am named after (at least partly - not Wilma). It was and is my nickname when I lived in France and with the friends I made there.

I had no luck whatsoever breaking into the social side of R&S until I took a 'classic as soon as it aired' line from Dr Who as my ID. It was a geek thing and I didn't expect to keep it, but people really liked it.

In a land far far away. In a time long forgotten. I was in the US Air Force. I was a pilot and flew the B52 G model. They are all gone now. The only B52's left are the H model, which I never flew. Poppy Pickette is a completely fictional name I invented. I chose Poppy because it pretty much describes me ... you know, poppies are nice to look at, but can give you one heck of a headache. Plus it's easy to get addicted :p As for my last name, I chose it because I needed one and at that time my 360 friends used to tease me about being an on-line flirt (I am so not!), so I went with that logic ... to pick someone - pickette (to make it French and more flirty he he)



There is one interesting thing though. I use Poppy Pickette outside Answers and Internet in general. It has become my pseudo name when writing stories and my boyfriend never ever calls me by my real name. Talk about crazy!
