I see the question raised to atheists on a regular basis how we can be happy with "no purpose" so I was wondering...

"What exactly is your purpose of life?"
Meaning Life and Purpose...not goal as in "To be in heaven with Jesus for eternity" because that is a goal.
I want to know your purpose in this life and why you feel it is of any more importance than that of an atheist.

I am 28, I am still trying to figure that out. All I know is I have two beautiful, happy children, that I would do anything for. Is that my purpose of life? I don't know yet. But, I don't think your purpose in life is any more important than mine. Life is what you make of it, take it or leave it.

What exactly do you mean "what is your purpose in life?" In my opinion a goal is a purpose and a purpose is a goal!!! In this context Pupose and Goal mean the same thing.

My purpose or goal in life is to live it the best I can. Be as nice to others as I can. Try to good deads for people. I make mistakes, I sin. I am Christian just not a very good one in "Holy Rollers" eyes. But, I feel I try to be!!!! I also feel that Good Christians should not judge others. They have a right to their opinion but A Good christian should Love Thy Enemies!!!!!!!!

And Just out of curiousity when you say your Atheists are you saying You worship the DEVIL or that you just don't believe in GOD????

All Christians have a mandate, and that is to spread the Word of God into all of the world. We are to seperate ourselves from those that live a lifestyle of continual sin. We are to try and live for God as best as we can. God is not looking for sinless perfection, He is only looking for a people who believe, and place there trust in Him and the finished work of the Cross.

A relationship with the Lord is on an individual basis, one can not say that they are more important than someone else, only God can see the Heart of a man, noone else. All we can do is pray for those that are lost.

I think that my purpose in life is to TRY to live up to the standards in the bible and to live for God, and to try to make other peoples lives a little bit better through mission trips and the peace core. I think this is more important because there are people out there right now who are suffering, and it is my responsibility to help them, because I have the power to. other then that I think that people have the same purposes, it's just that atheists only have shallow purposes that are spiritually dampening. think about it this way If you die tomorrow and there was no God your gone. forever. you'd be forgotten in another 10-40 years depending on your family, whats the point of living?

Don't ask me, in fact I don't even know why I am asking this question, but being a christain makes me feel, well, happy. It makes me feel complete. I just want everyone else to feel the same. It is their choice after all, but if I can do anything to make them feel the way I do, then I will gladly do it. I find joy and comfort in knowing that my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, died on the cross and rose again 3 days later, for me even though I am a sinner. I have sinned alot for being only 14, but I know that whatever I do, God will not think any less of me, and that he can forgive me know matter what I do. Hope that helps.

I am a Christian, but I do not think that an Atheist's purpose in life is less than a Christian's. Everybody has their own purpose, and it is not the same for every group.

For me, I believe my purpose is to spread the Word of God to anyone I can.

Whatever your purpose is, I do not think it is less than mine. So please don't think we all believe that because it's not true.

That is a fair question, I think.

Really, if someone has friends and happiness, that is the ultimate goal in life, right? As someone who believes in God, I feel that he is a far better friend than any human. So, friendship with Him is more important and gives more satisfaction than other friendships. An atheist does not have that.

definite they're real with reference to the trinity dogma. The Roman Catholic Church is extremely sparkling that the trinity dogma isn't a coaching of scripture yet of the clergy. They view the clergy as having the astounding and authority to tutor/interpret The Scriptures any way they choose and that no person else has this real. whilst the dogma of the trinity got here in to the church that's additionally whilst the persecution of people who disagreed got here into the church. The spirit of persecution is the spirit of devil. whilst Nicea became convened there have been 304 bishops attending out of a achievable 5,000 bishops of the church. those 304 presumed to communicate for the full church and got here up with the trinity. there have been different different councils called that have been attended via majorities of the bishops and those anathematized the trinitarian teachings of Athanasius yet they don't prefer to speak approximately those councils. Eusebius, the 1st church historian exterior of scripture, became unfavorable to the trinity. that's why he isn't called a saint yet he's stated as a good source of church historic previous. Trinitarians choose all of us to think of the difficulty became settled in 325 however the controversy has by no skill long gone away. 325 did not even communicate with reference to the holy spirit and what it became and how if figured into the newfangled trinity. That got here later at Chalcedon. maximum people who say the have self belief interior the 'trinity' do not even understand what that's. that's a capture word, buzzword, despite you prefer to call it that the 'in people use.' area ingredient: Constantine became supposedly 'converted' on his deathbed and baptized as an 'Arian Christian' via an Arian bishop. Even pagans understand a million+a million+a million=3, not a million.

Our purpose as Christians of our life is to serve and glorify our God who is always faithful and loving to us.

I feel that it is of any more importance than that of an atheist because without God, we have nothing... we sit there in our mind and thoughts without one single "RAY OF LIGHT"... God loved us so much that He was willing to die on the cross and pay our debt of sins... without Him there would be no hope of a better future in heaven with him. In Him we have the power to do all things, but without His Holy Spirit inside of us, we have hardly anything...

Read the Bible and find out for yourself, Jesus Christ answers some of your questions in the Bible throughout the whole Old Testament and the New Testament.

Our life is not of any more importance than anyone else life. Everyone's life is of the same importance, no matter what you are, Atheist, Christian, Jew, Mormon, it doesn't matter. I feel that the purpose of a Christian's life is to live for Christ and to worship Him. God is a selfish god, and He made us to worship Him. We live for God, and to worship God. Another purpose is for us to spread God's word and to make God be a part of others' lives.

Good topic. :)

Each one of us have a purpose for being here on earth. We were born for a reason, and I believe other than the main reason to spread the gospel, that we each individually have to find the reason God put us here. Also, I believe when we are done with our purpose and have accomplished it, then God takes us home.

My purpose in life and let me quote this is not a goal is to follow jesus and know that he loved me so much that he died on the cross for me that i think that my purpose in life because of what he did means to live life to the fullest pray to god and be happy knowing that someone loves me in this world enough to die for me id be soo thankful so i guess what im trying to say is my purpose in life is to thank god and live life to its fullest. He has a purpose for you and me soo i guess my reall purpose in life is to do whatever he has planned for me and even though you might not believe in him he does in you and he does love you soo if your asking what your purpose is just go with the flow and soon enough god will let you know soo please at least once try to believe in him at least try it wont hurt you but im telling you once you know god you will know what good he is and what good of a feeling it is to have someone love you soo much. if you have any questions please message me ok=]

The purpose is to always try and strengthen your faith and to be a good person. Atheist have no faith and some may or may not try to be a good person.

To serve others- particualrly the ones that could not possibly pay you back- the blessing coming back to you is greater than the effort put out to help others.

It's not that we are saying that your life has no purpose and ours does. What we are asking about is how can you be happy with a worldview that says that there is no purpose to any of our lives.

I honestly think when it comes to higher powers (no matter what or who you want to call it)people are driven by their own agendas. Humans barely understand our immediate surroundings, small bits about space. what makes people think they can begin to understand a a high power or entity?

First, because God is perfect and God;s goals are the highest good.

Christians are to seek to do the will of God who has perfect goals.

Second because in he who does the will of God abides forever where they will enjoy God forever. I am most satisfied when God is most glorified.
