Yahoo seems to be quite mechanistic in what does and does not happen. I have had serious informative answers deleted which contained no offensive words, but did deal honestly with questions asked regarding sexuality, asked by persons who seemed in dire need of information. (The answers were common sense and informative, written at about a 5th grade level of comprehension deliberately, and were not in any way salacious.
As to the attacks, I don't use chat rooms, but I find that some level of "chat" does begin to exist in the YA format, although technically "forbidden".
As you develop a set of contacts, and as you ask and answer each others questions, some sense of personality emerges.
If indeed true, that an organized cyber attack is going on, I suggest investigating, and tracing to sources.
To expect Yahoo to do it is probably not practical.
If attacks are occurring I wonder if a diminisment during Ramadan would imply a consciousness that stifling dialogue and invading another religions sacred spaces is wrong.
However, the rabbinical or Jesuitical side of me thinks that I far prefer the bloodlessness of such a petty and effective attack over the actual human deaths inflicted by all the three monotheistic religions upon one another both lately and in the past.
I encourage sincere Jews, Muslims, and Christians----as well as any other sincere persons to use YA to see what the other sects are "thinking". Read, don't write answers unless you have something positive to say to a question.
Yahoo can't fix it. Yahoo is not G.D. Although it seems to be trying hard....(sarcastic humor)
