The book was called Leviticus because it addresses the laws and regulations of Israel the Levites and priests in particular!
As the law was our schoolmaster unto Christ, the whole sacrificial system was intended to point out the Lamb of God, Christ Jesus The Israelites Messiah , who takes away the sin of the world.
In reading Leviticus this point i.e. (Christ puts an end to the law) should be kept particularly in view, as without this spiritual reference we as Christians are not implicated .
When reading any part of the bible it is imperative to fix in your mind the following questions.
1.Who is speaking ?
2.Who are they speaking to ?
3.Under what authority ?
4.What is the Subject ?
5.What dispensation are they in
i.e before or after the Messiah ?
Leviticus : is hard for many people to understand.
Mockers take it out of context and scoffers use it to discredit God.
All of the God haters go to find fault …

(1 John 4:4 KJV) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
(1 John 4:5 KJV) They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
(1 John 4:6 KJV) We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
