Question:
Why did God allow the Holocaust to happen?
2009-12-28 05:14:48 UTC
Christians always like to say everything happens for a reason but what about the worst genocides.

Hitler holocaust

STALIN'S genocide

200 years of a American slavery

African Darfur Genocide

If there really was a God than why does bad things always happen to good people.

1) Why did God allow the Holocaust to happen?

That's like asking why God allows supernovae to happen. How can we know unless he tells us?

2) If there really was a God than why does bad things always happen to good people.

Because God is concerned with our **everlasting** life - not so much with our very, very brief mortal life. Wouldn't you agree that even an entire **lifetime** of suffering was worth an eternity of life in Paradise? In fact, was **insignificant** in comparison to an eternity of life in Paradise?

announcing God allowed it to ensue to punish the Jews is ignoring the common historic certainty that many human beings died in the Holocaust who weren't Jewish. i'm an atheist, yet actually any sane religious individual will accept as true with me as quickly as I say that we are in a position to describe it because of the fact it grew to become into not an act of God, it grew to become into an act committed with the help of human beings and human evil. If there's a God, and he enables this variety of venture to bypass on, he's the two evil, or would not care, that's incredibly the comparable venture.

God wiped out the human race in the time of Noah because of their wickedness.

Genesis 6:5

The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.

Since then Men have complained that God does not allow them to continue with their wickedness. Read some of the virulent anti God hate junk on Yahoo Answers. Atheists continually complain that God kills people etc.

God is allowing wickedness but only for a short time.

We have all been given the choice, to do good or evil. To do good is to choose to obey God's will. He has elected Jesus as the King of the Universe, and Saviour and Judge of all mankind. The Day of Judgement will come.

God is angry with the wicked.

Romans 1:18

[ God's Wrath Against Mankind ] The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness,

read malachi 2:11

where is the sanctuary of Yah ? it is not on top of mt. Moriah in Jerusalem where it belongs but instead a temple dedicated to another god is occupying that same exact spot.

present day judaism was invented 200 ad by rabbi judah ha-nasi and his teachings written down in his book the mishna (oral law of Moses) which somehow "Moses had forgotten" to write down in approximately 1440 - 1400 bc

in addition to the mishna the observed calendar that the priests had charge over was changed by the rabbis to a calculated version which more often than not does not permit the perpetual holydays of Yah (leviticus 23) to be observed when they should be.

leviticus 23:26-30 specifically warns that anyone that works on the day of atonement will be destroyed from amongst their people.

numbers 18 shows us that Yah gave religious authority to Aaron and his sons the priests and levites.

for some reason rabbis choose to ignore this in spite of the warning given in numbers 18:22 - 32.

Yah cannot lie and He takes a dim view of those that mess around with His holy things.

We may never understand totally why God allowed the holocaust, slavery, genocide, or 4,000 baby's to die each day in America because of abortion (worse genocide ever). However I can say this, people have free will, and people sin. One day God will make everything right. We may not see it here, but we will when Jesus returns to judge both those alive and those that have died. This may not be the answer you are looking for, but it is the answer that I completely believe in. God will right all wrongs!

God being imaginary did not allow the holocaust or anything else to happen.

Again, God never did promise the good life to be here on this earth. And, God didn't cause the Holocaust, Hitler did.

200 years of american slavery? every culture in every country in the history of the world has had and practiced slavery for the last 10,000 years. America is THE country that put a stop to it. Blaming america for slavery is a joke.

God is powerless to stop such events, as he only exists in the minds of people.

Through history we see that the Chosen People of God are blessed when they are in obedience of His word and punished with they are not.

Mankind (Adam) chose Satan's way. If YHVH always intervened, and prevented every bad happening, how would the universe see that man had made a wrong choice????

Because God gave us free will, He will not interfere with it. WE allowed the Holocaust to happen, too!

God allowed it to happen because he clearly encourages it according to Bible itself.

Nice pair.
