Yes that's part of their culture indeed. But does it mean it immediately is a religion of violence.

I'm sure the Qu'ran probably also says other things then this. More then one billion followers cannot all believe in Islam because they love violence that much, there are only few people who like that.

A religion is judged by its scriptures, not by its followers.

& this is an example of cultural killing... it is NOT justified by Islam.

It goes against Islam.

First of all nothing in Islam is to be beleived without the confirmation from the Qur'an or Hadith and let me just clear something all this killing stuff....in Islam if you kill someone you will never be forgiven and will be punished severely so all these ppl who think it's ok to kill someone if he/she is not muslim or isn't a good one pretty much doesn't know anything abt Islam. Also thew media plays a huge role in this if a muslim kills someone they say "ISLAMIC TERRORIST" but what about Raymond Davis who killed innocent Pakistanis? They claimed that he was being "robbed" but what's the proof? How abt all those drone attacks in Pakistan? Those poor innocent ppl who have died you call that "peace"? If Islam was a violent religion it wouldn't be the world's most fastest growing. With respect to all other religions - A muslim.

Yet the murderer you so fulsomely quoted did not cite Islam or even Sharia as justification for his crime. He didn't even mention religion at all. He did it for his family 'honour'. Then you admit yourself that honour killings are not Islamic and that Islamic doctrine does not permit them.

Violence against women happens everywhere. In western countries it is sometimes called a crime of passion when a woman is murdered by a man whose delicate ego or extreme jealousy she has upset. There are cases of Christians doing these honour killings as well. I remember a case where a Christian man killed his sister for marrying a Muslim. Perhaps women should be asking ourselves, 'How can men call themselves peaceful when they keep killing us?'

And Ali Sina, that old troll, really? Ugh. http://www.loonwatch.com/2012/01/ali-sina-vs-sheila-musaji-will-the-real-savage-please-stand-up/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+loonwatch+%28loonwatch.com%29/wp-admin/install.php

The same way that Christians consider their god to be a loving, forgiving god when he obliterates 99.999999% of the planet in a flood because he's disappointed with their behavior.

Because they have a very specific definition of peace, the peace of a world united in Islam. If it takes violence to achieve that, so be it!

KINGSTON, Ontario (AP) — A jury on Sunday found an Afghan father, his wife and their son guilty of killing three teenage sisters and a co-wife in what the judge described as "cold-blooded, shameful murders" resulting from a "twisted concept of honor."

The jury took 15 hours to find Mohammad Shafia, 58; his wife Tooba Yahya, 42; and their son Hamed, 21, each guilty of four counts of first-degree murder in a case that shocked and riveted Canadians from coast to coast. First-degree murder carries an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years.

There's been a surge in Islamic "honor killings"...in the United States! Over the Christmas holiday, there was a horrible story of a man in Texas dressed as Santa Claus who killed 6 family members and than himself. When you first hear the story, you think this is just another random act of violence that we see all too often. What the vast majority of the media failed to report was this man was a Muslim and his motivation for committing this horrific crime was that his daughters were becoming too "westernized" and had become a "disgrace to his family."

The first one I read about occurred in St. Louis, MO and I live about 30 miles south of St. Louis. iable guide to Sunni orthodoxy by Al-Azhar University, the most respected authority in Sunni Islam, says that "retaliation is obligatory against anyone who kills a human being purely intentionally and without right." However, "not subject to retaliation" is "a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring's offspring." ('Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2). In other words, someone who kills his child incurs no legal penalty under Islamic law. Louisville Metro Police officers described in court on Monday a grisly scene when they walked into the home of Said Biyad's family on Oct. 6, 2006, with a trail of blood starting in the hallway and leading to bedrooms with his four children lying dead, their throats cut. Biyad brutally killed his four children, Goshany, Khadija, Fatuma and Sidi Ali, ages 2 through 8 and raped and assaulted his wife before turning himself in at police headquarters and admitting what he had done. Detective Brenda Wescott testified that three of the children were found in one room, with the youngest apparently trying to put her thumb in her mouth before she died. The other child was found in a separate room in bed, partially covered in blankets.

The beheading of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan has all the markings of an honor killing, psychologists and Islamic experts tell FOXNews.com. Muzzammil Hassan, 44, was jailed after being charged with the second-degree murder of his wife, whose body was found at the office of Bridges TV, their television station in Orchard Park, near Buffalo. According to Dr. Phyllis Chesler, an author and professor of psychology at the Richmond College of the City University of New York. "What she did was worthy of capital punishment in his eyes."

The OIC, the 57 member Organization of Islamic Conference, the world body of Muslim dominated countries (about whom Barack Hussein Obama was obviously thinking when he said “I’ve campaigned in all but 2 of the 57 states” (from where-else would he have come-up with that number?), has arranged that the barbaric Sharia Law of Islam shall not be criticized in discussions at the United Nations Human Rights Council, in response to human rights groups (particularly women’s groups) having vociferously protested such islamic traditions, according to Sharia Law, as “honor killings,” where if a family member leaves Islam, or doesn’t agree to a pre-arranged marriage, or wears the wrong kinds of clothes, should be killed by the family, “disgraced” by the family member who chooses to not abide by Sharia Law.

We must NEVER forget these atrocities committed in the name of Allah by Islamic terrorists. Who will be next?
