Question:
Christians: What do you think of this ad for "Christian Mingle?"?

Just now, as I was watching CNN for news about Japan, there was an ad for "Christian Mingle dot com."
The ad said:
"Sometimes we wait for god to make the next move, when god is telling us it's our turn to act. So act now, and come meet christian singles at Christian Mingle dot com!"

To me, it sounds like they're telling you what god is saying to you, when they don't even know you. What do you think?

Its a shameless attempt to use God for personal gain. Its a way of telling naive "religious" people that God wants them to pay money to Christian Mingle.com to find their intended. I am a Christian, and I find this to be a stupid attempt at using God for marketing.

I saw that today too and I just thought it's just another FREE site for people to pretend they are christians to try and get some tail. That's what the majority of the dating sites are and I should know...I've been on them.

I do believe if you want to meet someone you do have to act. A dating site is a good place to find someone but most people on them are not nice.

I'm confused.

Xtainity says they can't know the mind of god when something does not fit with human logic but yet they apparently DO know the mind of god by saying "Sometimes we wait for god to make the next move, when god is telling us it's our turn to act."

If one can't know the mind of god, how can one all of the sudden under certain circumstances now claim to know the mind of god?

Is that to say that if something does fit with human logic xtians know it's from god? And if so, does that make the xtian god a mere extension of the human mind/condition? Me thinks so.

Concentrate on the serious news about Japan.

During adverts, I suggest you go and make a cup of tea.

No clue. Gave up years agotrying to understand the logic of Christians.... or any other Abrahamic religion for that matter.

When you believe that pap, you have abandoned all logic, reason, and what little education you had.

All those religions tell you what god means, or what god is thinking.

Nuts, isn't it?
