The ignorance and shallowness of America’s 45th president is now undeniable and the roots of our problems are now clearly seen as the every-day efforts of the republican party: secrecy, corruption, demagoguery, voter suppression, gerrymandering, inequality, and invertebrate leadership.

The word originated as pandemos. Pan (all) demos (people) all people

No.  It's from the Greek word "to pan" -- το παν, meaning "the all."

The god's name is Pánas -- Πάνας.

"to pan" -- the all  -- and "Pánas" -- the god -- are two different words.

@ Μythological -- He says the Greek god's name is "Pánas"?   I didn't hear him say that.

Google: Pan-, a prefix from the Greek πᾶν, pan, meaning "all", "of everything", or "involving all members" of a group. All pages with titles beginning with Pan, most but not all using the prefix.

Pan means all and demos means people. It has nothing to do with paganism.
