Instead of asking the opinions of three major groups (Believers in one, Believers in the other, and believers in neither, why not ask the Big Dude Himself?

Write C on one side of a coin, I on the other, put it in a clear jar, fasten the lid, and pray

Whichever religion is the real deal, I beseech the Deity thereof to cause this coin to finish moving, with the initial representing that one, to be uppermost and visible."

Shake the jar, and accept the miraculous revelation of the TRUTH.

Or, you could do what I did.

without looking at it, fold up a dollar bill and place it under your stereo speaker.

Then invite everybody on the Religion & Spirituality section to have their Gods or Goddesses reveal unto them what the serial number is.

Whoever posts an answer wit the right number (which you look at after they've had ten days to pray about it), has the right sort of Deity.

Everybody else ahs a deity which either

1. Does NOT know all things

or

2. Does NOT answer the prayers of believers

or

3. Does not care whether you believe or not

or

4. Does not exist.

Christianity is better because Jesus is theoretically more powerful than Mohammed.

According to the Bible Jesus is more powerful and important than Mohammed. Jesus can have more people trialed and executed than Mohammed. (John 5:22-23, 5:27-30, 14:6; Matthew 25:31-46; Acts 10:42; Revelation 13:8, 20:11-15, 21:8)

I believe you are not asking the correct question here.... it's not a question of which is better, it's a question of which is the real deal, and which is false. The question,'Which one is better?', means that you are accepting that there are two Gods. In true religion, you have to accept only one God. Atheists will tell you that God doesn't exist, but ignorance is what makes them live in their own pool of foolishness. Trust me, i've tried to see their light, but they just prove unnegotiable. I am a Christian, and don't think my answer is going to be preferential, but you look at it. Religion is something that you judge by yourself, something you feel by yourself. If you are a muslim, and you know deep within you that Allah talks to you, then please, by all means, dwell in islam.... (but of course i highly doubt that)... but if God speaks to you, (which He surely will if you ask), then stay a Christian. Now, not only should you judge by yourself, but also, judge from the experiences of others, and what you notice about them. Let's look at the facts: The rate at which muslims are converted to christians, cannot be compared to that of the christians to the muslims. More muslims are being converted to Christians on a monthly basis, if not weekly or even daily. So you be the judge. From all these, look within and ask yourself which is better, Islam or Christianity...

There is no such thing as " which one is better ". Before making any decisions and coming to conclusions you have to research and get deep into both religions to understand the foundations of both and the teachings of both, and after that you can decide which one suits your beliefs. Both religions can be very similar and very different in many ways. Although beware, there are many sources that are not true and are not reliable. All the genocide and homicide performed by christians and muslims does not mean that the whole religion is like that. It also depends on the way the religion has come across to you and how people explain it. I am personally a proud Muslim therefore i will speak about mistakes that muslim families do. instead of teaching kids that Allah is about love, mercy , caring and acceptance, they teach their kids that allah is to be afraid from. Therefore the kids grow up to be afraid from rather than love Allah. Thats just an example of how the religion can come across in a wrong manner. I hope you find what suits you best!

Simple. All organized religion is a bad idea. I still resent Christianity for the dark ages. How much better could the world have been by now if we hadn't had all intelligent thought stomped on for over 400 years? If it still wasn't a pointless weight. P.s Jesus wasn't an original concept. Just compare him to Horus.

I sometimes wear a cross - a gruesome torture device - as a symbol of my faith.

Why? Because the cross is a real life time-space portal into heaven. It starts here and now; NOT when you die. God split history into two as a signal to you.

All other beliefs will give you recipes for success, but nothing can wipe out your sins that you drag around with you..... your guilt and all the darkness you hide them in.

Could you get into heaven WITH your sin? Then evil would spread and be no better than earth. NO. Sin must be irradiated, and that's what Jesus did for us. He made us right with God. So... I beg you... be reconciled to your maker. Learn who the real Jesus is, and make a decision about him. Your very soul depends on it.

Btw, my parents were both from Egypt... I was born in Lebanon.... half my family is Muslim. Muslims believe 'Allah' superimposed Judas' face onto Jesus' on the cross (ironically in a reverse-sacrifice so Jesus could live)...... and so because Allah tricked me, they now fault me for believing the trick.

My all Christian friends arguments are like "Which religion has more fictional history?" "Was Jesus cool or Mohammad?" "Who will wipe your sins if you leave Christianity?"

I would like to tell you that religion isn't a house made of four walls in which you are bound to stay just because you have to wipe out your so-called "sins" which you may have never done.

The Original Sin concept is literally illogical for any thinker. It is like punishing a scholar for his grandfather illiteracy or killing a child because of his forefather's crimes. These concepts were adopted at Roman timings who are responsible for fabrication of teachings brought by Jesus. Moreover believing that believing in Jesus would buy you a ticket to heaven is illogical. It means that a serial killer can also become worthy of heaven if he just believed on this principle which is quite illogical.

Secondly I want to quote that Islam as a religion has been fulfilling its job. The problem we dont recognize Islam as a perfect religion its because Christian scholars uses such words to define Islam that if used in front of a children will eliminate any significance of Islam which he would have discovered. I would like you to ponder over the main aspects of Quran logically, not comparably. All of its moral code make sense and moreover there aren't any reported contradiction in Quran which Muslim scholars have wiped out as "translation or copyist errors" (the words used by Christian scholars to define some verses in Bible). The probability of Quranic verses being the actual word of God is much more enhanced by the reconciliation of Quranic verses with modern science.

I, personally, would advise that Islam is better and I am truly very sorry if I hurt any Christian feelings.

Isn't this a matter of belief? True Christians, of which there are very few, believe in tolerance, non-discrimination and forgiveness. True Muslims, of which there are many, also believe in those things. Those who believe that they are honour bound to kill non-believers have been misled. Mohammed was a prophet and Muslims acknowledge Jesus as one of the great prophets. An Iranian friend maintained that Mohammed was the last of the great prophets, but when I said, 'Up to now, but who knows what is still to come,' he laughed and said, 'You may well be right.'.

Jesus was killed by men motivated by evil, but he overcame the evil, by submitting to God's will who was to work a great miracle through the sufferings of Christ. Then he conquered and overcame death, by rising on the third day, well after the human body is decayed far beyond revival. Then after rising to heaven he has sent the Divine Spirit into the world to dwell within believers and followers of Christ..

The Holy Spirit gives much continual proof of his work in the believer. Sometimes the before and after differences are startlingly obvious to observers.

It is false Christians who give Christianity a bad name and a bad history. But Jesus Christ, who remains always the same, is the link to the Divine the source of Love, Compassion and Forgiveness.. I use capital letters for these qualities for they are found in God and in all those who are touched or influenced by Him.

There's some algebra involved. First, the basic equation:

Bible - Trinity + Mohammed = Qur'an

In other words, taking the doctrine of the Trinity out of the bible makes Jesus just a man, and most of the New Testament after the Gospels becomes invalid. Add Mo, and you have the Qur'an. Now, just do some grade-school algebra:

Bible - Trinity = Qur'an - Mohammed

So the difference between the bible and the Qur'an comes down to the plausibility of the Trinity doctrine as opposed to the historically plausible stories of Mohammed. Both Islam and Christianity are rank superstition, but Islam is slightly better on the grounds of plausibility. QED

Do you want to follow a living Savior, or a dead man? Your choice - Jesus is our Savior who died for our sins then rose again the third day just as He said He would do, thus proving once and for all that He truly is the son of God.

Mohammed lived some 600 or so years later and then died, and he remains dead, and nothing he said or did could change what Jesus already did.

Islam. In the Quran, God declares both other Abrahamic religious paths as valid - saying that if He wanted the 3 groups to be unified, it would be that way - but that He tests us by the existence of the other. See Surah al-Maida for proof. It criticizes Jews for forgetting the Torah and Christians for taking a wrong turn and misleading people about who Jesus really was, but it promises forgiveness for those that go back to the original intentions of the Prophets that God so graciously sent to them. Therefore, Islam is more forgiving, more tolerant, and God speaks to people in the Quran who aren't even Muslims. Modern Muslims may be intolerant, but this is not a reflection of Islam, it is a result of decades of secularization and reversion back to their pre-Islamic cultures.

Dear Friend,

Jesus Christ separates all religions. Jesus is the only One who can lead anyone to ...Almighty God. He is the only One who died for the sins of humanity. That should a person receive Christ as their Lord and Savior through the Power of the Holy Spirit their spiritual relationship with God can be 'reconciled' (restored).

Jesus Christ, is the One true...living God.

Islam = religious ideology. Christianity = relationship with our Creator. So, obviously, Christianity.

It comes down to this. Muslims are becoming Christians around the world because Jesus Christ Himself is coming right to them and speaking to them in dreams and visions. Check the evidence for yourself. It is all there. Jesus is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. Christianity is the answer.

Islam is batter because there is latest constitution of Allah (God). Christianity also was true religion and constitution of Allah but when came new constitution then excluded the fist constitution. So now only one way that is Islam.

Christianity is better. Islam is just an attempt at making the religion particular to a certain cultural and ethnic group so that individuals within that group could maintain power and create an empire to rival with Christianity. Plus, Mohammad married a little girl, and that's just weird.

Which one is "better"??? Is there a contest or something where belief in God is concerned? You either believe in God or Allah. You have a choice unless you're face to face with an Islamic radical, in which case you either submit to Islam or lose your head. God and Allah are not the same. They have different natures and relationships with mankind.

Frankly, losing my head over disbelief in Allah is not acceptable to me and such a possibility exists in the book his prophet wrote. Therefore, I choose a loving God who will forgive me of my sins, if I repent of them, and give me eternal life with Him without having to kill others to earn His love. That said, each of us has to make our own decisions on such matters. What I say means nothing. You have to choose your course.

There is very little difference between Christianity and Islam. Islam believes in God and moses and Abraham etc. The difference in these religions are the prophets. and what the prophets preached, and how to pray to their God, who is the same god as Christians worship.

Jesus Christ is the son of God who became human in order to be the supreme sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. When He shed His blood on the cross there was no more need for blood sacrifices and the last words He said before dying were "It is finished" meaning there was no other being to come after Him. Salvation was complete for all mankind from that day forward but there was more, He rose from the grave and ascended back to Heaven to prepare a place for all who repent of their sins and by faith trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He also promised to send another comforter (The Holy Spirit) to be God with us. Why do I believe this? Because as a young teenage boy The unmistakable Holy Spirit started to convict me that I was a sinner in need of a Savior and that Jesus Christ was that Savior and if I would give up my sinful desires (Repent) and by Faith commit my life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior that I would be secured for all eternity. I trusted Him with my life and He saved my soul. My Bible says that there is no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Only Jesus Christ. Jesus made it plain that His Salvation is for every one but it has to be accepted. It's your choice. God bless.

Everyone gets one.

But there are some things to sort through first, we must reconcile things, give an account, and learn righteousness. This is like a big goddamn mess that needs to be cleansed, and then we can move on.

everyone gets in eventually. But if we don't learn righteousness it's just going to be earth forever.

You would definitely find the Answers once you would read The Holy Bible and the Quran. I would vote for Jesus Christ and i believe Christianity spreads love......where as when i had once read the Holy Quran, i have found many negative aspects, No disrespect about the religion but i am just concerned about what is actually written in it. And after reading Quran, what i finally came to a conclusion was, I would mention it in Double quotes " Increase your Population " Thats what i have seen. But there are few positive aspects as well about Islam which i would definitely would like to mentioned as written in Quran, that There is Just One God. And you should just be afraid of him. The Question is : Why Quran says that you should be afraid of the almighty God Allah !. To which i would like to answer that whatever you do in your daily routine, If you are afraid of God then you will never do anything wrong. You would always be honest if you are afraid of God.

What matters is how you treat others and if you follow God and Jesus's teachings in deeds and in spirit...

Do you help the poor and misfortunate? do you visit the sick or the dying, Are you faithful to God and follow his commandments?|, are you kind to others and share what you have? Do you resist the Devil and his evil works in this world?!

All the little and simple things you do that make a difference for others is remembered by the Holy Spirit and Jesus he says in the bible the least of you who do it for them do it for him.

Instead of asking this question on Yahoo go open a quran, read it, listen to it and go to a Imam. Read the bible and go to a priest. On Yahoo everyone will be judgmental. I read the comments and everyone thinks Islam means "terrorism", "Jihad" and a "conservative religion" but when you ask them what they really know they will tell you to watch CNN or Fox news. You see...people judge according to others, what they see and hear form others but not from what they really experienced in real life. Have you ever met a Muslim family? Set down with one and had a talk? Visited any muslim country? Have you tried to close your ears to the rage on the media and actually tried to be farsighted into the truth and reality of what these Muslim people might be? First learn for yourself and compare. See what the real world has to offer you, rather than a screen that can be manipulated with the ideas of editors. You are not free until you can think freely with your own thoughts and opinions. So do not ask such questions here because my answer is MUSLIMS and YES I'm A MUSLIM. And no Jihad does not mean war. Jihad means going out of your way in the service of God. People rotate these into such ways that they make it sound as if its so bad and now what ever anyone says you will believe that ISlam is bad when Islam the word actually means peace. Until you research and open your heart without hate to both Islam or Christianity you will not be able to find the truth. So don't be a judge like your friends... be what you were created to be, a human being with a brain and God given knowledge to think and act properly without ignorance to any religion. Good Luck my friend.

Islam is about 600 years younger than Christianity. Consider that it is going through it's "teen years" stage. 600 years ago Christianity had witch burnings, inquisition, enslavement and slaughter of "non believers" (Africa and "The New World"). So cut them some slack, Jack.

Religion poisons everything, just question of cyanide or arsenic. Take your pick, both awful.

Well it comes squarely down to who you are asking.

Atheists would probably say "Neither!"

Christians would say "Christianity"

Muslims would say "Islam"

Jews would say that both are heretical and false

And so on and so forth

It also comes down to knowing what each religion stands for and essentially ignoring the extremist groups. You can gauge a religion by the majority. This is also problematic since not all adherents know what they are following. If you look at the core of each religion, you will need to make up a list ... like pros and cons (very subjective though)

Which is better to me?

Well it's easy, I'm Christian, so my answer is Christianity.

I would go even further and say which denomination I would agree with more.

But with all of this, what you need to do is research. Then make up your own mind instead of looking at all the subjective opinions of every answer.
2014-12-04 18:15:35 UTC
Easy. Pick the winner. Islamists go on conquests, breed like rabbits, behead, threaten, etc. And authenic Christians are not looking to force people into it with violence and we are still #1. Not to mention, we have all of the artifacts and historical records. It is a no brainer, really.

You, General Bertrand, spoke about Confucius, Zoroaster, Jupiter and Muhammad. Well, the difference between them and Christ is that everything about Christ denounces the divine nature, and everything about everyone else denounces the human nature. Christ entrusts all his message to his own death: how can it be the invention of a man?

Muhammad is credible only when is based on the Bible and on the innate feeling of faith in God. For everything else, the Qur'an is a system of domination and political penetration (...) Jesus has never been a subject to criticism."

Neither of them. Both the religions believe that their God is the real God and Gods worshipped by others are fake.

God is not a group leader governing only one particular group or religion. He is the divine universal phenomenon existing everywhere, present in every atom of the universe and governing every individual, animal, insect etc. irrespective of which place they live or which religion they belong to.

True religion is that which preaches oneness of God, universal brotherhood and tolerance against other religions.

If you're a Satanist you'll gravitate to his tradition Islam.

If you're not you won't.

Islam was 'founded' by a murderer, a rapist, a pedophile, a thief, a liar, an illiterate merchant, named Muhammad.

The Qur'an is an amalgam. Written after pedophile Muhammad's death it is comprised of stolen, or plagiarized texts of the Bible and the Torah.

Islam is not a religion of peace. That's a lie that has been perpetuated by those who hope to spread it into the gullible west.

There is also no such thing as "moderate" compared to "radical" Muslims. Islam is Islam. Those who naive people think are moderate are so because they have not been called to Jihad yet.

Islam is a political ideology! Clad as a religion so as to perpetuate itself in countries wherein there are laws that guarantee a religion is free by law. This way the ideology can perpetuate itself and overtake the country.

Read the history of Islam. It is a terrorist misogynistic political ideology founded by a psychopath who married a 6 year old girl and consummated the marriage when she was 9.

Religion means philosophy in practice and not any particular organisation or group of people. The main ethical values, viz. Truth (intellectual honesty), Non-injury (by mind not hatred towards anybody whosoeverit may be) and self-control (physical - complete control of own sense organs, viz. eyes, ears, nose, tongue and genital organs - include skin = that means you be the master of your sense organs instead of you becoming a slave of them) IF ONE LIVES ADHERING TO THESE MAIN VALUES OF LIFE he needs not belong to any particular religion. My religion is better than yours: this attitude is most harmful for both the believer and the world, A true religious person will consider the whole world and creations as the perceived GOD. The prime mover in you and in all creations in the world in reality is One and the Same and how u can afford to hate yourself.

Here are just 4 reasons why Christianity trumps Islam and proves that if Islam was a cup it couldn't hold water because it has too many holes in it: 1: The Bible came long before Muhammad was even born and accepted as God's truth but when "Muhammad Alla Akbah" (Muslims in general) wrote their Qu'ran they when to the Bible and took what they think supports Islam as a true faith and called the rest lies. Thats like going to a contaminated well to draw out water but draw out uncontaminated water. Thats impossible for if God had permitted those He inspired to write the Bible to put down one lie then it couldn't be a holy book cause the whole book would be contaminated because of that one lie.

2.The Bible gave 2 warnings long before Muhammad was even born that warned of angels bringing false teachings, 2 Corinthians 11:14, "Satan can also transform into an angel of light" and Galatians 1:8,9 "Beware of any man or angel from heaven that brings you a gospel different from that preached by the apostles let them be accursed" Muhammad said it was an angel that bought God's truth to him. LDS founder Joseph Smith claim the same thing. Both religions disagree so which angel bought the truth or does the verses that came long before warning of angels carry more credibility?

3. Islam claims to be a religion of the spirit. The Qu'ran promises Muslim males that they can have sexual intercourse in the afterlife with Houris (females) and Ghilman (effeminate boys). The expectation of sexual intercourse in the afterlife is a carnal desire of the flesh which makes Islam a religion of the flesh and not the spirit as Christianity is. Allah says to stone to death anyone caught having homo sex in this life but he encourages booty busting in paradise in afterlife. If Allah don't mind it maybe he likes a little homo sex now and then too.

4. Jew, Christian and Muslim all claim Jerusalem as their holy city for the Jew Jerusalem is written down in the Old Testament 660 time, for the Christian 159 times in the New Testament but the word Jerusalem does not appear not one time in the Qu'ran but Muslims are willing to go to war over Jerusalem.

These are just a few things that confirms Islam has no credibility as truth and everything I've said has tangible evidence to prove what I've said. Go see for yourself.

I personally say that Islam is true. I am a revert Muslim from Christianity. It all goes to the Qu'ran and the Bible, in my opinion. The Bible has been altered and has many interpretations and not all of them are the same. The holy book of Islam has one interpretation that has never been altered. Islam is one of the most amazing religions ever, and if you have a question- it can be answered directly and specifically, whereas the Bible can be taken in multiple different ways.

Okay arguments against Christianity:

-against homosexuality

-violence in old testament

-pro life

-some people get accused of being judgmental

-the bible encourages no sex before marriage

-apostates's soul is at risk for hell

Islam

-against homosexuality too, but they must be stoned

-violence too, many Jews and Christians killed and still are in many Muslim Countries

-honor killings

-no sex before marriage, your not even allowed to be in the same company of another male if he isn't your relative.

-child marriages

-suicide bombers

-Mohammed sexual relations with a 9 year old

-apostates soul is at risk for hell but they must be killed for leaving Islam

Mohammed:

.

Islam is a false religion created by the corropt Vatican to be its army in their bid for world domination.

Whereas Christianity is God’s Original religion

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

God (the 2nd person of the Godhead - Jesus) gave the "Gospel" to Adam and Eve..

As the Hebrews (and Jews) only received half of it, Jesus had to come to set the record straight and explain the Gospel so we can understand it properly, which the Jews failed so to do.

This was, and is the same gospel we have in the Bible today.

This gospel was expanded upon down through the ages by means of God's Patriarchs, Prophets, Judges, Kings, and Jesus ( God's Son ) , and is the same gospel taught and believed by Seventh-day Adventist Christians today

I believe this gospel to be the ORIGINAL religion from God and ALL other religions are a variation of, or are in lieu of God's original Gospel for the salvation of mankind.

Why anyone look to teachings of Muhammad when there is Jesus?

• No one ever died in Jesus' presence . . . . . Many people died in Muhammad's presence -- he had them killed.

• Jesus received instructions from God the Father . . . . . When Muhammad heard from an angel in the darkness of a cave, he cowered, was uncertain, and wanted to commit suicide (Quran 74:1-5).

• Jesus never fought . . . . . Muhammad fought many, many times.

• Jesus had the power to take life, but never did. He restored it . . . . . Muhammad had the power to take it, but he never restored it.

• Jesus never killed anyone . . . . . Muhammad killed many.

• Jesus never married . . . . . Muhammad had over 20 wives and even married a nine year old girl.

• Jesus performed many miracles including healing people, calming a storm with a command, and raising people from the dead . . . . . Muhammad's only alleged miracle was the Quran.

• Jesus fulfilled biblical prophecy about being the Messiah . . . . . Muhammad did not fulfill any biblical prophecy except the ones about false teachers (Matt. 24:24).

• Jesus voluntarily laid his life down for others . . . . . Muhammad saved his own life many times and had others killed.

• Jesus died and rose from the dead . . . . . Muhammad died and stayed dead.

• Jesus owned no slaves . . . . . Muhammad owned slaves.

• Jesus spoke well of women . . . . . Muhammad said women were 1/2 as smart as men (Hadith 3:826; 2:541), that the majority in hell will be women (Had. 1:28,301; 2:161; 7:124), and that women could be mortgaged.

Jesus you will find to be a very, very different sort of person. He was Godly, loving, giving and yet He was untamed, radical, a bit wild and certainly not one for the status quo; He was different. Look at the Bible and what it says about this man Jesus.

Jesus did not do circus tricks; he would not perform miracles to prove he was from God. The only miracles He did perform were to meet the needs of those around him, healing the leper, restoring sight to the blind, raising the dead etc. But he did not pander to governing or the religious authorities of the time who wanted “a sign from heaven”.

Some from within the Jewish religious authorities tried to set traps for him but He saw through there duplicity and turned the traps around and left those who came to set the trap, questioning their own motives.

He was a friend of the outcast. He hung out with tax collectors, the down trodden the helpless, and the “sinners”. He even saved an adulterer from being stoned to death. Jesus was different!

On the other hand:

Muhammad recognizes the prophets of the Old Testament and the New Testament and presents a claim to be of the same prophetic lineage. However, Muhammad contradicts the prophets of both the Old and New Testament in countless ways.

Well Who has performed the greatest act of love? Yahweh or Allah?

In Islam, what is the greatest act of love Allah has ever accomplished? I asked this question of several Muslims, and I got similar answers: he forgave us of our sins; he gave us families and provisions; he showed us mercy; he gave us the Qur'an. The answers didn't vary much beyond these responses. I found them lacking.

Most Muslims believe that the Bible is not trustworthy, that it has been corrupted, that the Injeel (gospel) of Jesus has been lost, and the Qur'an restores God's truth to mankind. But, that is another subject to be debated.

In John 15:13 Jesus said, "Greater love has no man than this, that he lay his life down for his friend." I have the Nestle Aland Greek New Testament with the textual apparatus included in it. The textual apparatus is the complete listing (per verse) of any textual variants that occur in any of the ancient New Testament manuscripts. Therefore, it is a very easy thing to go to John 15:13 and look at the textual evidence to see if there are any manuscripts at all, anywhere that have any variation on that verse. There are none. In other words, there is not a single manuscript of the more than 25,000 manuscripts of the NT that have a different translation on that verse. Every single one of them says the exact same thing. I will, therefore, conclude that it is an authentic and reliable saying of Jesus.

Again, Jesus said, "Greater love has no man than this, that he lay his life down for his friend." According to Jesus, the greatest act of love is to sacrifice one's life for another. This means that giving one's life for another is a greater act of love than providing food for him, giving him a family, being nice to him or being honest, helpful, or whatever. Self-sacrifice, to the point of death, is the very greatest act of love.

Has Allah performed the greatest act of love? The answer is no. Allah has not sacrificed himself at all. Allah has not died for another. Allah has not loved us to the point of death. In Christianity, Jesus, who is God in flesh (John 1:1, 14), laid His life down for us. Jesus performed the greatest act of love.

If Islam is true . . .

If Islam is true and Allah is the true God, then Jesus, a creation (according to Islam) has performed a greater act of love than Allah (according to the Bible). A mere man has outdone Allah in love and sacrifice. But, of course, Islam denies that Jesus ever died. They then say that Jesus has not done the greatest act of love. Their denial does not change the fact that Jesus died on the cross as is amply attested to by the eyewitnesses who wrote the gospel. Besides, whether or not the Muslim believes Jesus died on the cross does not change the fact that Jesus told us what the greatest act of love was--and Allah has not done it. Yet, according to Christianity He has. Since Muslims want Christians to adopt Islam, they are asking Christians to give up their Lord who has performed the greatest act of love on their behalf. Why would they want to do that?

If Christianity is true, then God has performed the greatest act of love. If Islam is true, then God hasn't. Which "god" then is more loving: the one who speaks of love or the one who acts out love?

I have found nowhere in the Qur'an where it says that Allah is love. The Qur'an says that Allah loves people, but it never says that Allah is love. By contrast, the Bible clearly tells us that God is love. "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." (1 John 4:16).

Who does God love?

Does God love all? In Islam, the answer is no. In Christianity, the answer is yes. Consider the following verses from the Qur'an.

"Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and messengers, to Gabriel and Michael,- Lo! Allah is an enemy to those who reject Faith," (2:98, Trans. Yusuf Ali)

"Say: Obey Allah and the Messenger; but if they turn back, then surely Allah does not love the unbelievers," 3:32, Trans. Shakir).

Consider the following verses from the Bible

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16).

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.' 44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you 45 in order that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax-gatherers do the same? 47 "And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matt. 5:43-48).

We can easily see the huge difference between the God of Islam and the God of the Bible. In Islam, God does not love all people. In the Bible, God does love all people. In Islam, Allah did not die for the sins of those who were not his. In the Bible, God did do that. In Islam, Allah has not performed the greatest act of love. In the Bible, God did exactly that.

My question to the Muslims is, "What makes you think that I want to give up my Lord who loves me so much that He would die for me, and did die for me, for a god who has not and cannot perform the greatest act of love?

This is very vague, and maybe not terribly open minded, but it bothers me a lot that the Quar'an was written after the creation of both Judaism and Christianity, and seems to "borrow" large parts of each, while neglecting or even conflicting with original context. In the most striking example, Jesus is part of the Qur'an, and listed as a prophet. But historians generally agree that Jesus was a real person, and that he preached he was the son of God. So why call someone a prophet but that you shouldn't read anything that he actually said, just ignore that part?

Christianity. However, not Christendom (they are counterfeit christians). Don't get the two confused.

Over the centuries counterfeit Christians have taught that the God of the Bible delights in eternal torture of his own creatures, that He prepared a place called “hell” filled with fire burning forever with brimstone and sulpher.

They claim He keeps alive sinful human souls after death to be tormented forever. Now add, how convenient it is to them to blame God when a loved one looses their precious infant and tells them “oh, God (needed) another angel in heaven.” As it God’s needs were more paramount than the destitute parents.

Next add, how It is the counterfeit Christians who have spilled the blood in violent wars. Yes, it is the clergy that have preached them right into the trenches. The clergy pray to God to grant victory to their “own” nation. Catholic against Catholic and protestant against protestant. Needless to add the pain of ethnic persecution and concentration camps that have left some wondering “Why doesn’t God DO something?!” Oh yes, these counterfeit Christians, the clergy, have distorted the real God of the Bible. And people wonder why some turn against God, yes hate God and turn atheist.

Similarly, when Jesus came to the earth, the people were weighed down by the vain traditional systems of the day. Of the scribes and Pharisees who were responsible, Jesus said: “They bind up heavy loads and put them upon the shoulders of men, but they themselves are not willing to budge them with their finger.” (Matthew 23:4; Mark 7:2-5)

What a relief it was when Jesus provided the people with the truth that freed them from such enslaving traditions! (Matthew 15:1-9) It is no different today.

Accepting Christ’s yoke brings refreshment because Jesus is mild-tempered and lowly in heart. Since he is not unreasonable, it is refreshing to work along with him under the same yoke. He takes into consideration our limitations and weaknesses. As he said, “My yoke is kindly.” True, the yoke of discipleship involves work, the same preaching and teaching work that Jesus did and for which he trained his early followers. (Matthew 28:19, 20; Acts 1:8) Yet, what a refreshing work it is to tell others about our loving God, his Son, and the Kingdom! How refreshing it is to tell people how they can live forever in Paradise! And when they respond to the life-giving Kingdom message and join us in serving Jehovah God, how great our joy becomes!—1 Timothy 4:16.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. God gave Jesus all authority in heaven and earth including the powers to forgive sins, grant eternal salvation, and intercede in people's lives to help and heal them.

That's way better that Islam which only has a prophet who was a mortal man; not divine like Jesus.

Jesus warned people that after he returned to heaven, false prophets would lead many people astray.

Islam was invented by a prophet who led people astray by denying the divinity of Jesus Christ.

Islam's existence proves Christianity is true and better.

Plus Islam's holy book incontrovertibly proves Christianity is the one true religion.

The Qu'ran is Islam's holy book, It says only God can create life.

Jesus created life by raising the dead, so obviously Christianity is true and better.

The Qu'ran also says only God can intercede in people's lives..

That also proves Christianity is true and better because Jesus interceded and healed blind people, deaf people, crippled people, and sick people of all kinds including lepers.

Plus Jesus also cast out demons and evil spirits that possessed people.

Jesus also proved his divinity as the Son of God through other miracles, such as walking on water and calming storms with a rebuke and turning water into wine.

Since the only thing Islam's good for is proving that Christianity is right and true, Christianity is better.

There is at most one correct religion, which means there is only one correct religion or there isn't any right religion at all.

Since all tribes are religious, it's fair to assume there is one correct religion.

So, now you have to find that correct religion.

Compare as many main religious traditions as possible.

You'll see that there are certain two characteristics, which you should note:

1)Most religions await a Messiah except Christianity. In Christianity, it's said that the other religions are now waiting for the so-called "antichrist", which will lead those who believe in him to hell.

2)Most religions discuss the "Jesus" topic. Most religions consider Jesus to be a prophet, while only Christianity considers Jesus to be God.

Logically, Christianity wins.

Now, find the denomination which is true to what Jesus taught.

Study Church history.

You'll end up with Eastern Orthodoxy.

Bible is in Greek and Hebrew.

Both Greek and Jerusalem Churches are Orthodox.

Antichrist will rule over the whole world except Orthodox Russia.

There will be a Tsar in Russia to not allow this antichrist to rule in Russia.

Antichrist is pale with red eyes and flies because he's possessed by Satan. 666 is given by isotope rays on wrist or forehead when people stretch hands to receive small plastic grey card (world passport).

Police will chip and isotope ray people on highways. Food stores will isotope ray people too. Antichrist will also release prisoners to mark people. Reject 666 at all cost. Go hide with Orthodox Christians to escape 666.

Don't go into a UFO to be healed by demons. Those who reject 666 will go to heaven. Also, their direct ancestors will be saved from hell.

Dinosaurs live under our level. They will get out through sinkholes and lakes. To kill them, go for their nerves.

We can not say any religion is wrong and you can not compare it to another relation of humanity's greatest relationship

Jesus Christ! Because accepting Jesus Christ as your personal lord and savior is so rewarding. Nothing in this world can ever compare to a loving savior who was willing to die for us at Calvary. He died for all who never knew him, to save them from a burning hell.

Don't follow any particular religion. Faith is a personal experience. You'll find God in your heart, not in church.

Islam is better because its simpler and more universal. Islam is derived from the Quran and the Quran tells us the Quran is easy to understand and remember. It's humans who complexify Islam. In essence, we humans make complicated what is not complicated. Now, that does not mean oversimplification is permissible. Things still need to be looked at in their context and true meaning, which is the opposite of oversimplification. As for universality. Islam has always catered to everyone. In Islam there is something for everyone. Islam can be looked at from philosophical, mathematical, scientific, etc.. perspectives. Its all there and all a part of Islam. Take philosophy for example. In Islam we have whole systems and schools of philosophy which all include things like Kalam, Qiyas, and ijtihad. Other religions have some of those things but those religion are not as complete or as technical. When other religions use philosophies they do it to manipulate things. To make true what is not true. Where as in Islam, philosophy is used to help aid in understanding of what is true.

Christianity is about love & forgiveness.

Islam seems to be about condemnation.

Compare Muhammed with Jesus Christ in order to find out.

You can only find out about Muhammed by reading the Qur'an and the Hadiths (traditions about Muhammed). The Qur'an only has 25 verses in it about Jesus.

You can find out about Jesus both by reading the Bible and through experiencing His living reality. Unlike Muhammed, who is still dead in his grave, Jesus arose from the grave and returned to Heaven from where He had come. The Qur'an denies this, so you have to decide which account is telling porkies.

Obviously, the account that is telling the truth is better than the one distorting the truth.

Christianity; " Love your neighbor as yourself."

Islam; " Murder your neighbor if he doesn't agree with you !"

As Dr. Livingstone would say, "I leave it to you."

Here is a history of Islam. Goes back to John Quincy Adams. You may find it interesting.

Son of one of America's most important founding fathers (John Adams), John Quincy Adams was by his father's side during the creation of a new country. He went with his father to France and the Netherlands on important diplomatic missions, and later in his life John Quincy was Secretary to the American Minister to Russia, was the Secretary to his father during peace negotiations that ended the American Revolution in 1783, served as U.S. foreign ambassador, both to the Netherlands and later to Portugal, under George Washington, to Prussia under his father’s presidency, and then to Russia and later to England under President James Madison. He served as a U.S. Senator, Secretary of State under President James Monroe, and then as the nation’s sixth President (1825-1829), and finally as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he was a staunch and fervent opponent of slavery.

After his presidency, but before his election to Congress in 1830, John Quincy wrote several essays dealing with one of the many Russo-Turkish Wars. In these essays, we see an educated description of Islam and the threat it poses to freedom in the world. This is what John Quincy Adams wrote (the capitalization is in the original):

In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar, the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust, by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind. THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE.

Between these two religions, thus contrasted in their characters, a war of twelve hundred years has already raged. That war is yet flagrant; nor can it cease but by the extinction of that imposture, which has been permitted by Providence to prolong the degeneracy of man. While the merciless and dissolute dogmas of the false prophet shall furnish motives to human action, there can never be peace upon earth, and good will towards men. The hand of Ishmael will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him. It is, indeed, amongst the mysterious dealings of God, that this delusion should have been suffered for so many ages, and during so many generations of human kind, to prevail over the doctrines of the meek and peaceful and benevolent Jesus.

Notice that Adams not only documents the violent nature of Islam, he further exposes the mistreatment of women embedded in Islamic doctrine. A few pages later, Adams again spotlights the coercive, violent nature of Islam, as well as the Muslim’s right to lie and deceive to advance Islam:

The precept of the koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God. The vanquished may purchase their lives, by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet, may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to propagate the Moslem creed by the sword isry, when it can be made effective. The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force.

Of course Christianity! The God of the Holy Bible is far superior to the god of the Quran. The prophets of God have never been wrong in the prophesies. The Bible tells the future and so far it is right on track.

Both Islam and Christianity are deeply flawed because they purport that human mental experiences are the basis of reality. Don't know about Islam, but Christian Catholicism made a practice of torturing and executing "heretics" who asserted that physical objects actually exist independently of human perception. Both Islam and Christianity have ignored the Enlightenment, the emergence of physical Science, and the Industrial Revolution.

In my opinion, all religion relentlessly seeks to drag human civilization back into the Dark Ages of superstitious ignorance. If you care about the destiny of the human species, avoid all religion like the plague of organized ignorance that it has always been..

Could Christanity be any worse ?

Neither. In Christianity you have thousands of different sects all of which disagree with each other. In Islam you have two main sects that are constantly at each other's throats and hundreds of smaller sects which just get slaughtered by the two biggies.

Why not become a peaceful atheist instead and get on with your own life in your own way?
