I want specific passages I can look up. Especially on astrology, if it has anything to say about it.

You will find it in Deuteronomy, Ash:

18:10 There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,

18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

18:12 For all that do these things [are] an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

18:13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

18:14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so [to do].

Exodus 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

BTW, the next verse tells of another prophet that was a man like Moses. That was Jesus, the son of man.

There is a hidden code in the Bible, only to be understood in our day, that tells who Jesus is, and much more: http://revelado.org/thetimeoftheend.pdf

I differentiate them. Their definitions dictate that they should not be classified as the same things. For example, the belief in a god generally includes a set of rules to follow, some sort of code to live by. But more importantly, the belief in deities was mainly there because the people were trying to explain how things in the world worked. Things like rain (god does it), droughts (god is displeased with us), disease (demons), violence against other people (possession), etc. These are all actual things with real answers that the people did not yet know. We now know why it rains. We now know what causes lightning, or droughts. We know the causes of many diseases and know how to treat them. We have a better psychological understanding of what can drive someone to violence. Whereas psychics, the occult, astrology etc aren't necessarily based on real events that need a better understanding. They are invented concepts borne from nothing. Like if I was born in such-and-such month, that means I'm this sign, so that means this is what I will be like and I'm not compatible with such-and-such sign. There's no sense behind that. There's no events that would inspire it. It's just nonsense someone made up from nothing. Or saying if I sleep with mugwort under my pillow that will keep the evil away. There's no grounds for that, what evil are we talking about? It's just a concept. There is some definite bleeding over between the two groups, but I don't think it's fair to lump religions and basic superstitions together. Are there superstitions in religion? Absolutely, but there's also a whole lot more to a religion than that. For example, I've never heard of somebody kill someone else because that person didn't believe in ghosts. It's just not treated the same way by those who believe.

Go to Jordan Maxwell's site or look up astrotheology. Jesus said my house has many mansions rightly translated is my domain has many houses...12 to be exact. The miracle of the fishes there were two fish - sign of Pisces and 12 baskets left over one for each sign of the zodiac. The Pope wears a fish hat to this day turn it sideways it's a fish! Jesus said I will be with you till the end of the world rightly translated is the end of the age. The disciples ask what do we do then...he says go to the house of the man with the two water pitchers..the sign of Aquarius. It may speak against it in the verses others provided but the book is full of numerology, astrology, magick and rituals. It was cleverly written by scribes that had done their homework. The Jesus story is based on astrology and was told by at least 15 other cultures before Christianity made the Son the Sun from the German word sonne into a literal person making the greatest story ever told based on our ancestors watching the skies into the greatest hoax ever perpetuated on mankind. I am not allowed by Community Guidelines to give you the link to Jordan Maxwell's research! so you know it must be good he has researched with a passion for over 5 decades.

Another astrological reference concerning Christianity deals with the winter solstice which begins on December 21. It is the day of the year when the night is longest and the daytime shortest. The ancient Egyptians noticed that on the autumn equinox, the sun does not set farther south and sets in the same place on the horizon for three days. This is an astrological reference to when the sun (Son) goes down for three days (dies) and then begins to rise again (resurrection). Using the crude instruments available, ancient astronomers were able to detect by December 25th of each year that the daytime had become noticeably longer. This date was chosen, and remains, the traditional date for followers of many different religions to celebrate the "rebirth" of the sun. Following the equinox, each succeeding day has slightly more sunlight than the previous day. It was seen as a promise that warmth would return once more to the Earth. Numerous pre-Christian religions honored their gods' birth or rebirth on or about that day.

The ancient Egyptians knew that as long as the sun rose in the morning, life would continue on the Earth. This explains why the Egyptians used the sun as their symbol for the eternal life of the cycle of the seasons. In many Christian churches today, the symbol of the cross with a circle in the center of it appears on church steeples. This icon of the circle as representing the sun, comes from the Egyptian belief that the sun represents eternal life.

Jesus said of the Devil:

“He did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him.

When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition,

because he is a liar and the father of the lie.”---John 8:44

Satan pretends to be “an angel of light,” and the demons masquerade as “ministers of righteousness.” In reality, they are deceivers intent on trapping people in a web of deceit. (2 Corinthians 11:14, 15)

God’s Word exposes the “powerful work and lying signs and portents”

as “the operation of Satan.”—2 Thessalonians 2:9.

Exodus 22:18

Also it is in ten commandmends.

Astrology is worshipping of stars.

Witchcraft is worshipping of demons.

The occult is attemot to contact other spirits (and those are of course demons again).

From an atheistic standpoint (and as a general opponent of organized religion), I view the bible in its entirety as being of the same ilk as the aforementioned topics (i.e. not supported by scientific evidence, fanciful). To give you a more specific answer, I don't believe the bible mentions any of those subjects.

What was "occult" (unknown) to the ancient Hebrews?

Pick a textbook, any textbook!

I am not aware of any metion in the bible about those subjects.

I think those things came about after the Bible was first written.

Astrology...Those practicing and trusting in such things...their outcome.

(Isaiah 47:12-15) 12 Stand still, now, with your spells and with the abundance of your sorceries, in which you have toiled from your youth; that perhaps you might be able to benefit, that perhaps you might strike people with awe. 13 You have grown weary with the multitude of your counselors. LET THEM STAND UP, NOW AND SAVE YOU; THE WORSHIPERS OF THE HEAVENS, THE LOOKERS AT THE STARS, THOSE GIVING OUT KNOWLEDGE AT THE NEW MOONS CONCERNING THE THINGS THAT WILL COME UPON YOU.14 Look! They have become like stubble. A fire itself will certainly burn them up. They will not deliver their soul from the power of the flame. There will be no glow of charcoals for people to warm themselves, no firelight in front of which to sit down. 15 Thus they will certainly become to you, with whom you have toiled as your charmers from your youth. They will actually wander, each one to his own region. There will be no one to save you.

Astrology are the devils works.....notice how King Herod wanted Jesus dead, the Bright Star in the heaven the night Jesus was born...who put it there? Was it God or was it Satan? Please meditate on these scriptures below.

(Matthew 2:7-16) 7 Then Herod secretly summoned the astrologers and carefully ascertained from them the time of the star’s appearing; 8 and, when sending them to Beth′le·hem, he said: “Go make a careful search for the young child, and when YOU have found it report back to me, that I too may go and do it obeisance.” 9 When they had heard the king, they went their way; and, look! the star they had seen [when they were] in the east went ahead of them, until it came to a stop above where the young child was. 10 On seeing the star they rejoiced very much indeed. 11 And when they went into the house they saw the young child with Mary its mother, and, falling down, they did obeisance to it. They also opened their treasures and presented it with gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. 12 However, because they were given divine warning in a dream not to return to Herod, they withdrew to their country by another way. 13 After they had withdrawn, look! Jehovah’s angel appeared in a dream to Joseph, saying: “Get up, take the young child and its mother and flee into Egypt, and stay there until I give you word; for Herod is about to search for the young child to destroy it.” 14 So he got up and took along the young child and its mother by night and withdrew into Egypt, 15 and he stayed there until the decease of Herod, for that to be fulfilled which was spoken by Jehovah through his prophet, saying: “Out of Egypt I called my son.” 16 Then Herod, seeing he had been outwitted by the astrologers, fell into a great rage, and he sent out and had all the boys in Beth′le·hem and in all its districts done away with, from two years of age and under, according to the time that he had carefully ascertained from the astrologers.

Recognize it is the same star that people of Christendom put on top their Christmas tree, in ignorance they don't realize it was placed their by SATAN so King Herod would know where Jesus was and kill him. When the Astrologers did not do as Herod had commanded he became furious. Satan was using Herod and tried to used the Astrologers to carry out his will. God intervene both with Joseph and the Astrologers. Remember afterwards Herod ended up killing every male Child 2 years old and younger in hopes to kill Jesus Christ.

We do not want to be found dabbling in what belongs to Satan, yes he has power but it is not for good. If you want to be preserved alive that is by God be obedient and stay away from Ouija boards, tarot cards, books on black magic, movies, etc...astrology get them out of your house. Your home can become a lurking place of demons. In the bible it said they burned them. Learn to pray using God's personal name Jehovah aloud and in silent...Know everyone calling on the name of Jehovah will be saved.

I would like to share other things from the bible to help how and why to break free from spiritism/demonism...including witchcraft, Occultism.etc. They are all works of the devil. FYI: I know because I had a grandmother who was a psychic (she called it a gift/Ironally she was also called Reverend in her Church) and did it for a living. Don't have room to put everything here scriptural from the Bible. So please feel free to email me.

Best regards!
