If atheists exist, then why won't any of them show themselves to me without me having to look for them?

Surely if atheists existed one would physically show himself or herself to me without me having to put forth any remote sort of effort or express any remote interest whatsoever in finding one.

Atheists don't send out missionaries like the Mormons. They don't wear signs on their bodies that say they are atheists (unless they're immature about it). Also, they are not leprechauns that appear out of thin air. If you're trying to make a point you're failing at it.
