Church camp, will I be an outcast? What to bring/ what to wear?

I'm going to a church camp, for a week. We can't bring phones thing like that. I really love manga and drawing, and fan fiction. Should I bring those things? I'm worried that, the other campers will think that stuff is weird. Also I don't dress like most other church goers I know. I wear skinny jeans and graphic tee's all year. The camp check list says modest shorts. WHAT THE HECK?!?!? so I really need a full list on what to bring/ wear.

I know I'm going to need a Bible, bedding and soap etc. Clothes is what I'm worried about. Do Christians even read manga/anime, is fan fiction okay?
I know that we have to go hiking and wildness stuff, but what else do you do at church camp.

Being a Christian doesn't mean that you can't be yourself. it just means that while being yourself, you also dedicate your life to Christ. If you love all that stuff, bring it. As with shorts, you'll definitely get hot if you wear skinny jeans, but bring a few pairs if it makes you comfortable. But also bring a few pairs of shorts.

Here's an example checklist(I just got back from church camp and this was what I brought.)

5 teeshirts

3 tank tops

5 pairs of shorts

3 pairs of jeans

2 sundresses

tennis shoes

flipflops

my bible

a notepad to take notes with

highlighters

pens

sunscreen

tooth brush and toothpaste

shampoo conditioner soap razor, etc. etc.

sheets, blanket, and a pillow.

my camera

towels

sunglasses



Prepare to worship. Come into it with an open mind and heart. Even if you are different, don't be afraid to express yourself. Go up to people, introduce yourself, make new friends. Even though you're all every different you all share one thing, and that's a love for Jesus Christ. THAT is the biggest bond you'll ever make.

I'm a Christian and I love manga and clothes like you. If they don't have a dress code wear whatever you want. Just make sure it's respectful (No shirts with skulls or other demonic symbolisms. No guns, drugs, Hitler, half dressed women or non-dressed people etc.). You get the picture, I'm sure. Also, just so you know, I like Naruto, Fairy Tale, Bleach, Durarara, One Piece, Casshern Sins and many other manga and anime titles. I'm still more than honored to serve God and His son, Jesus.
