Passion Of The Christ?

Question

I just recently watched the Passion of the Christ, well it was a year or so back but have been scared to ask the question.

Well, as I was watching this movie, I found myself laughing at Mel Gibson (Jesus Christ) being whipped and killed.

Which, brings me to the fear of my question, am I going to hell? I am a strong cristian, but I found some weird things that make me think more about Satan, other than God and our Lord and Savior.

For example, I have a cross above my bed, with two nails in it. It seems that I have to turn the cross right side up, I renail it every morning, and I've even moved it across the room, everytime I wake up... I look at the cross and it is upside down. Which is a Satanic symbol, I'm starting to scare myself, but I also seem to have alot of evil thoughts running through my mind, including dreams. Like a dream that has been happening every Saturday to Sunday night. The dream is that I am hurting innocents in Hell.

Can anyone help, please. I'm deperate

Passion of the Christ was Directed by Mel Gibson but as you saw it wasn't actually him. That movie was great (the affects and emotion) I am not a Christian but I don't think you are going to hell. You haven't done anything wrong. If you think that laughing at a movie is wrong and you will go to hell for it then..... I would be scared to come to your religion. It depends on what you were laughing at! Were you laughing at the acting or were you not believing that that happened? That's really important in whether you should be feeling guilty or not.

Secondly- The cross thing is kind of scary. The dreams are ok though (its thoughts and nothing really) But are you sure you haven't left a window open or something, or maybe its your little sis or bro that are playing a trick on you.

So think of why you laughed and what the reason was when you did. If you think it's bad then ask God to forgive you as he is the forgiver. The devil will always be around us but we have to fight and be strong not to let him follow us everywhere and listen to him.

Well, if you're serious, I suggest going to talk to a therapist about it and having some tests run. I also wouldn't rule out talking to a priest or pastor (I don't know your denomination). I don't put a lot of stock into these kinds of things, but I understand that there is still a lot we don't know yet. If you feel strongly about it, I'd exhaust both of those options to find out what's going on. Also, I have nightmares and bad thoughts, but I don't think I'm possessed. It's human nature. But the cross thing... I dunno. If this isn't a joke, first make sure you don't have a sleep disorder that could cause you to mess with the cross in your sleep (could also account for your dreams), and then go to a priest or pastor if that doesn't help.

Mel Gibson directed that movie. James Cavezel (pardon me if that's misspelled) played the title character.



I watched it, too. Once. It struck me as the most antisemitic piece of trash since Hitler and Goebbels produced "Triumph of the Will" back in the 1930s. Gibson's bigotry was too obvious for words. There were a couple dozen historical and physiological errors that would take too long to document.



That movie accomplished what it set out to do: Enhance Catholic guilt. It was otherwise totally gratuitous and unrealistic.



As for your cross... you might be a sleepwalker. Maybe you should talk to your physician. People do weird stuff during somnambulent periods, things they wouldn't even think of while awake.

Im an atheist,and get called a devil worshiper because I have ecclesiophobia-and badly,seeing a cross or a church literally makes me cry and sometimes vomit.Uck,I know.And I really am being serious about that..but to believe in the devil,I'd have to believe in G*d..which I don't,I hate all religions with a passion-there is no proof.But at the same time,I dont try and turn everybody in to Atheists.Maybe try taking the cross down off the wall?? xxx

First, it was Jim Caviezel(or however you spell it) that played Jesus.



Second - is it possible that the cross piece is slipping down the cross? I don't know how the cross is made.



Third - an upside down cross is not a satanic symbol. St. Peter was cruicified upside down. Surely you don't think he was being satanic?



What IS satanic, though, is an upside down CRUCIFIX, that is, a cross with Jesus on it.



If you don't believe me, ask a satan worshipper (not that you'd know one). Upside down crosses are worthless to them.

i don't know what to say, the cross upside thing (even with 2 nails in it?) is reason for concern. try to recite some bible verses like psalm 23 in your room and see what happens.

I watched this movie too. And it was a violence movie. for your case, i think maybe you're thinking too much. I am not Christian. so I'm not sure whether you can move away the cross above your bed from the current position? maybe nail it slightly upper and see will it happens again..

I am a catholic and belive strongly in God, the question is do you think you are going to heaven? I would do some strong soul searching becuse it's God who going to decide wheather you go to his Heaven.
