JESUS' BAPTISM ENDED WATER BAPTISM:

1. End of John the Baptist's administration and baptism with water.

2. Beginning of Jesus' administration and baptism with FIRE:

" I indeed have baptized you with water: but ..."

" But" used here as a contrasting conjunction means what's on the left side of "but" will be different from that on the right side.

e.g. John eats apples "but" Jesus eats oranges ...would state that Jesus does not eat apples e.t.c..

So water baptism must decrease as Fire baptism (Gospel teaching of knowledge) increase.

Fire and Holy Ghost means KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING.

Fire - knowledge of the gospel teaching of Jesus only.

Holy Ghost - understanding of the gospel teaching of Jesus only.

knowledge + understanding = wisdom.

wisdom is power.

However the Holy Ghost does have unlimited other functions.

Matthew 28:19 has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH WATER;

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and TEACH all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost(UNDERSTANDING):

The word "baptizing" is a participle, not a verb. Baptize in Jesus' teaching(KNOWLEDGE), NOT water.

When the time comes to be baptized, the missionaries and ward mission leader will help you. The only thing that you will need to do is bring dry clothing to change into after the baptism. Maybe an explanation of how a Baptism is usually organized will help you understand. This is a typical agenda that is followed.

Conducting (Person who officiates over the baptism): Usually a member of the bishopric or ward mission leader.

Opening prayer

Talk on Baptism

Then the person is baptized (After you are baptized you will go into the changing room that leads off from the font and change into dry clothing. While you are doing this the missionaries may show a film or people may simply listen to reverent music then the meeting will resume after you return from the changing room.)

Talk on receiving the Holy Ghost (Just so you know children who were born into the church and were being baptized at 8 would receive the gift of the Holy Ghost at this time, but teenagers and adult converts are confirmed at church on Sunday during Sacrament Meeting.)

Closing prayer

Refreshments, usually provided by members of the Church.

So basically your part in the planning would be to give input on who will give the prayers and the talks, as you may want some special friends in the Church to be part of your baptism. Usually the person being baptized gets to choose who baptizes and confirms them.

Pretty much everything in all the missionary lessons can be found on Mormon.org. I would recommend you focus on living the gospel and attending church.

I don't know why you need to wait two summers, in fact I don't think you need to, when you're 18 you can be baptized. Before you are baptized you need to take all the missionary lessons (this is like a week, two tops). Then you need to be interviewed. The missionaries can arrange this interview. The purpose of the interview is to make sure you understand the commitment you are making. Your baptism will take place at a special service and the missionaries will work with you in the planning, don't be afraid to badger them with questions. You'll like to invite friends and family.

I'm from London but grew up in Provo Utah, I had a few friends who weren't members through high school and moved out of state and joined the church right away because they missed the LDS influence in their lives.

One of my former seminary students had to wait until she was 18 to get baptized, her faith and fortitude were impressive, I witnessed some compensating blessings in her life even while she couldn't be baptized and shared with her a New Era story about how she's a Mormon already, regardless of baptism.

Good luck, I think you're on the right track

But you're already a Mormon, you need to make it official but you're one of us already!

First you need to meet with the missionaries so they can visit with you about the church and help you get ready for baptism. Here is how you can request missionaries: http://mormon.org/missionaries

You don't need to wait for two summers to get baptized. Why not earlier. It will only bring more blessings.

You just need to prepare yourself spiritually. Pray a whole bunch and read your scriptures for answers. Contact the missionaries & they will schedule your baptism for you. I know you mentioned that your parents don't approve and so you don't have parental consent. Continue going to church, reading your scriptures & saying your prayers.

I'm sorry your parents don't approve, that's rough! But press on. Because you will get there. And it will be one of the happiest days of your life.

You have plenty of time. Just meet with the missionaries in the meantime while you wait and go very slowly through the lessons. Make sure you understand everything that they are saying and try to spiritually prepare yourself for your baptism. Fast and prayer can help. Hope this helps and good luck!

You must be born again first. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

And when you find a church that you want to become a member of, after you join it, then the pastor will set up your baptism, which demonstrates not only your devotion to the Lord, but your dedication to becoming a member of that church.

The missionaries can guide you. They will connect you with the ward mission leader and he will make sure everything is done.

Do what Jesus Christ did when He was baptized by John The Baptist...

He brought Himself.

And that is all that you really need to do.

As long as you do that, then you will be taking your first step

on your own personal wondrous journey to Jesus.
