Question:
Spiritually speaking; In America, why is saying Jesus 'taboo' unless used as a curse word?

Especially in the movies; And also in our schools?

Is this the spiritual enemies plan to prevent the power of Jesus Name?

Why is praying in Jesus Name such a big deal, even at the Presidential Inauguration?

No one complains about the gay Minister praying without using Jesus Name. But much complaints about Rick Warren blessing USA in the Name of Jesus.

So why is Jesus Name being used cause Christian Ministers to be punished in the Media or even in legal matters in the USA, when there is suppose to be freedom of Religion?

---
I should bring up the Military Chaplain who was court marshaled for praying in Jesus Name.
And also that recently, our Military's personal bibles written in Arab language were burned (to please the Islamic radicals). Because they might be used to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the language of the Arabs.

I would like your source about the Military Chaplain court marshalled for praying in Jesus's name. That is what the chaplain does if he is a Catholic or Protestant minister.

I wouldn't put it past the Arabs to burn Bibles, the Communists did it in Russia and China too.

What you are seeing is the last days before the Antichrist comes on the scene. I'm not surprised by it all. Jesus is getting ready to come back to this earth and rule here. We are getting the stage ready for the deceiver to come and deceive those that would not accept truth. God even said he was going to send a great deception to the world and let those lost believe a lie because they would not believe truth. This is what you are seeing. The Rapture will take place and God will take his people off the earth, then his wrath comes because of sin and great tribulation is coming.

What we are seeing is like a woman giving birth. The labor pains will get closer and closer together until all of prophecy is fulfilled.

It's not, some Christians just have a persecution complex.

However, FYI, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are political conflicts, not religious wars to convert the heathens. I don't understand why you'd want to claim these as religious wars, but your suggestion that we should be trying to "preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ" to the people in those countries is both unsurprising and disturbing.

i think of it somewhat is somewhat unhappy what share diverse denominations there are, and it could purely be devil that brought about all of this branch between Christians! think of how lots greater effectual we'd be if we weren't so divided...I accept as true with you that there are issues that in simple terms are not heaven and hell, existence or loss of existence subject concerns, yet some church homes positioned a magnifying glass on those very issues. I went to a church as quickly as that preached against jewelry, makeup, and pants on women and ladies could no longer decrease their hair, and then the pastors ended up getting a divorce...i've got faith ths is as a results of the fact they weren't following the main needed commandments jointly like loving God and putting Him first of their marriage and loving and having a heart for the lost greater so than demanding with outfits, jewelry, and so on...the Bible says that many could have one in each of those godliness yet deny its capacity...i've got faith that's what each and all of the doctrine is doing...making us concentration greater on faith and much less on our relationship with God, and so on...

Persecution complex much?

I am calling you out on your chaplain story. Provide a link, please.

I am quite sure that the links you provide would say he was court martialed for "praying in Jesus' name" which is NOT true, so I will prove one.

The chaplain was court martialed for disobeying orders. He led prayer at a protest in uniform which is illegal. No member of the military can wear their uniform at protests. No matter their job.

Most people in the world do not even know who Jesus was and most of those that do, do not recognize Jesus as any more special in Gods eyes than any other.. Jesus was a great messenger of God and with His strong faith could actually command God to perform great miracles. Christians in particular mistakenly believe that it is necessary to believe Jesus was Deity to attain salvation.. Not only is this a foolish assumption but it is totally untrue. Such belief will not affect salvation, but continues to unnecessarily separate our world's people. Thank goodness our younger generation is much closer to God's truth. God bless.

Probably because Jesus is probably not God.

He didn't at all fit the Old Testament description, and the idea that you can be your own child really strains credulity. The historical record shows no earthquakes or people rising from their graves during the time of the "resurrection".

The worldly system is hostile toward God. So military, legal, ethical, educational and whatever other ambassadors of this hostile world continue to make true Christianity very difficult to pursue. And it will be this way, worsening all the more, until Christ returns.

Isn't the majority of the American population Christian? I'm pretty sure they don't only use Jesus' name as a curse word.

I think calling it a 'taboo' might be exaggerating, just a little.

I suppose because discussing religion is a touchy subject that most people avoid in conversation with mixed company. Religion is also not a proper subject for discussion in the workplace.

If Obama gave a speech today and said, "Praise be to Allah", you don't think people wouldn't be up in arms? Oh heck yeah they would.

there is no reason a fictional character like, Jesus, should have unwarranted respect.
