i think He did. jehova witnesses wont believe it, as far as i know. mormons think this refers to the second coming and not to the events in the book of mormon. But the bible does says in revelation all things in the first 3 chapters come to pass soon.
i still cant get over the fact that the first fruits is limited to jesus alone.
when jesus is called the firsfruits, he is singular but when the gospel of matthew is compared there were many saints that arose out of the graves and went into their city.
apparantly there are also world wide cases in history as well where people are described as being seen risen from their graves.
i think the first fruits prove that jesus came as a thief in the night already and resurrected them. i think the bible also described King David as "missing" from that number because he was not resurrected.

do people still think the term coming like a "thief" actually applies to the second coming? !!! specifically when he comes in all glory?

Not yet. Read Second Peter 3:10.

He's not taking anything. The implication that he's talking something is only because you are looking at the words at face value. The point of the statement of "a thief in the night" means that his coming cannot be predicted and will come when least expected. The Bible is very metaphorical, so that's why there are so many interpretations between religions of those that see it metaphorically and those that just take it literally. "He will come as a King in Glory" refers to the how, and "like a thief in the night" refers to the when.

1Thes.5:1-9,21;

To children of the light, of times and seasons, Jesus does not come as a thief in the night.

After all, there are those that will be alive at the second coming of Jesus.

As to the bible all but the day and hour can be known as God alone knows day and hour. As Satan has 6130 years from Eden to Rev.20:1-6,12,13; No

Satan 1000 years.

At yr 3460, Daniel gives 2520 yrs, now at 2007 after Christ it is 2613, and the bible has been in circulation in the world 396 years and for sure this is for the time of the end Dan.12:1-13 [ Michael in the time of the end, Rev.12:3,4,6-11,12; Michael, THE WORD and Satan's short time in the time of the end.

How many times do I have to tell you guys, First comes the rapture Than after 7yrs. of tribulation the second coming. He will come back as a thief in the night for the church [the rapture]. I believe that all that needed to be fulfilled has come to pass, so the rapture could happen any moment even as you are reading this answer. Peace!!!

The "thief" in the night statement is applying to His second coming when those who are not ready will be lost forever

(a thief catches you by surprise). Those who believe and are waiting for His second coming won't be caught by surprise and therefore, it is not applying to believers. You might want to do more bible study on the first fruit though.

Who would know until he decides to show himself to "every eye" You would also have to take the reference to clouds as symbolic and not literal to believe he may already be here, or that we would not know if he was here.

Revelation 1:

To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood—

6 and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

7 BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.

A thief does not announce his coming but after he has come there is no doubt that the thief has been there, and so it is with Christ. No he has not come yet, but when he does rest assured when he does you won't need to be told that he has come. Everyone will know.

Resurrection in itself is what Jesus describes.

NO!! Jesus has not returned yet....if he had believe me you would know it...because the earth would be in total turmoil because there would be no Christians here for one and the Holy Spirit wouldn't be either.

You mean:

"In fact, no one can enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can rob his house." (Mark 3:27)?

Jesus is a gangsta here. He's instructing his followers how to loot people's houses. Jesus is wise.

I have my house on lock. If JC comes through he'll get nothing and like it.

The second coming and the rapture are 2 seperate events. It is commonly confused.
