Question:
Are you easily led astray by flattery and false promises?

The majority of those of voting age were three years ago.

Are you vigilant and intolerant against deceivers? Aggressive salesmen may lie or flatter to sell an inferior product. Many girls have lost their virginity or women their marital fidelity to lying flattery of whoremongers (II Sam 13:1-13). Many men have been led to hell by flattering lies of whorish women (2:16-18; 5:3; 6:24-26; 7:5,21-23). Many citizens have voted for corrupt politicians due to flattery and false promises, for the election process in most nations is based on words rather than character or performance.

As a nation, we all need to wake up and pay attention to what God tells us in His word the Bible. When we put into practice what it teaches we will fair well before both God and men.

Hello,

A few thoughts:

1) First of all I'm not an American so I do not have a vote anyway.

2) I agree with Niccolo Machiavelli in his book, "The Prince" where he warns us to be very weary of flatterers. That has not changed much in 6 centuries.

3) I have learnt I cannot live on just complements, titles and promises.

So, no I am not.

Cheers,

Am I easily led astray by flattery and false promises?

No, but it sounds like a wonderful alternative to the usual status quo of my so-called life.

I agree with your last paragraph not just nationally but world wide - however - the question must be asked as to why your paragraph relation to deceivers etc., is in place?

Could it not be that those who have woke up to recognising that obedience to God in the answer - still don't take action to make that answer known?

I used to be highly susceptible to flattery and false promises. You see, it was my religion. They promised me all kinds of things and then complimented me on my gullibility. Once I stopped believing in god, I realized that flattery and promises are not to be trusted. We are all human and will use whatever we can to further our purpose. You can only trust in yourself.

Isn't 'flattery and false promises' the basis of all religion?

I used to be. Christianity is the belief in a million zillion false promises.
