Is there some thing you seem to have to have, not for monetary, or even aesthetic reasons, but because it's a thing that seemed to come to you or needed to belong to you, or both?
I have an object, acquired in an odd manner 14 or 15 years ago, that was lost to me for almost a full year, in an odd manner. I recently got it back! It went everywhere with me before I "lost" it, I'm sure it was totally imbued with my energy and now it's like a familiar, I'm "aware" of it.
Is this an odd question? I'm not sure.

An old, tattered, faded leather bag my grandfather made in the 30's. He was outdoorsy, not sure what he used it for. He built houses for a living and was an extremely devoted family man with eight kids. He fell roughly thirty feet and broke his back while building a church, and spent the remaining thirty some odd years of his life barely able to walk. Never really knew him, by the time I was 15 he already had twenty other grandkids seeking attention and was confined to his house chair most the time.

Certainly not the most desirable thing that was part of his collections, but it reminds me, a tangible evidence, that there was some hard work and dedication in the past.

Yes I do. My younger sister died of cancer over 25 years ago. One week before her death my mother took her to the mall and she bought me a silly little stuffed thing with a heart for a head, long arms and legs. Colors of red, purple and yellow. Which are my favorite.

When she gave it to me I cried. She told me she loved me.

I have carried this around in my vehicles since the day I got it. I consider it my talisman. It keeps me from harm. When I got my new truck my husband cleaned out the old one and almost threw it away. Never. It will stay with me until the day I die.

And it also protects anyone else who drives my vehicle. It protected my husband when he was coming back from TN. He had a 104 degree fever and was so sick he fell asleep at the wheel on the interstate. He said when he woke up he was in a rest stop. He does not remember getting there.

Maybe it was the fever that made him forget. I believe it was my protector in my truck that guided him to safety.

I found a rock once that had melded on top of it another, darker rock that was shaped exactly like a valentine heart. It is so perfect that I bring it out to show people so they can go "ooo" and "ahh!" over it.

I'd found it during a time in my life that I was feeling very poor and disappointed and unloved, so I've always wondered if God hadn't sent it as encouragement.

Not really. I have a good selection of evocative and appreciated items, about half of them books,

but nothing up in the talismanic or "familiar" class.

My one and only ring, constantly worn, would probably come closest.

I had it made, just over 20 years ago, around an unusual stone acquired in Australia.

Nothing comes to my mind in the spiritual sense. I lost a favorite ring in the swimming pool yesterday but, thank goodness, I found it.

This is NOT an odd question at all. I think I have a spiritual connection to my gold wedding ring. Not kidding there either. '-) Sweetie I'd hate to somehow lose it.

No "spiritually" is for weak minds who are not intelligent enough to figure the world out on there own, so they have to put "spirituality" stamp on it.

Good question. Here's another one: Does the object you "re-found" have an attachment to YOU? Just askin'...

Stuff like that happens. Whether it's strictly spiritual or not, I couldn't say.

Yes, I have a fossil of a trilobite (over 300,000,000 years old). Makes me wonder and awe at life and how long it has been around....
