If Jesus is the fulfillment of the regulation (Torah) then shouldn't they be versed on what the regulation includes? If Jesus became a Hebrew and Christians are meant to emulate Jesus shouldn't they be cognizant of the custom wherein he became raised? Jesus became a student of the regulation, the Prophets and the Writings that's for those of yoy who're unaware is the 1st 5 books of the previous testomony, the books of significant and minor prophets and all of the writings such with the aid of fact the e book of Ruth, Kings, Chronicles,Ecclesiastes, music of Solomon, etc. The Jews call the previous testomony the TaNaKh that's a style of acronym for Torah, Nevi'im and Ketuvim, that's regulation, Prophets and Writings. And right it extremely is the large clue: we are conscious of the Magi in new testomony yet what's their connection to Abraham and Ur of Chaldees and what's the meaning and etymology of the be conscious Genesis and what does that would desire to do with "And those are the generations of the Heavens..." Why are there 12 Sons of Israel (Jacob). And maximum obligatory why did extremely everyone constantly pass into Egypt while there became a issue? check out those issues to their end and you will discover out so plenty better than you think of. Christianity at that's center is a photo voltaic cult and further examine into the Torah (first 5 books of the previous testomony) will exhibit this. As a Son/sunlight (celebrity) of Heaven Jesus became and we are all stars too.

Yes, absolutely. It tells us about Creation, shows us God's laws (on which the laws of many lands are still based even today). It shows prophecies which came true and some which are still to be fulfilled. It points to the Messiah coming (in great detail) so that we can be certain that Jesus is the one. Without the Old Testament the New would not make as much sense. Jesus Himself referred to the O.T. It was the scripture of His day. Paul referred to it.

Some things in the O.T. were meant for specific people at specific times. Some of it is for all people for all times. Only by reading it can one understand it and know which applied today and which does not. Many silly things are said about the Old Testament by people who do not understand nor have the faith to believe that God has a reason for ALL things.

Don't know it important for Christians or not but for Muslim ,we believe in

Torah is the revelation which was given to Moses (pbuh)

Zaboor is the revelation which was given to David (pbuh)

Injeel is the revelation which was given to Jesus (pbuh)

and Qur’an is the last and final revelation which was given to the last and final Messenger Muhammad (pbuh).

It should be but most christians pick and choose what they want to out of it and that is why they don't understand the Bible. Certain denominations definately believe more of it such as the United Church of God, Seventh Day Adventist, or Messianic Judaism.

Yes, it's crucial. Without the old testament you can't identify the Messiah!

yes, it's through the fulfilment of 4000 years of prophecy that we are able to recognize Christ as the Messiah. Jesus relied on scripture to demonstrate who he was, and it is through the study of scripture that we can understand the meaning of the covenant God makes with us.

in practise a lot of what that means is that we can look at the writings produced under the Old Covenant and learn how NOT to act, then we can look at Jesus and the scriptures produced through his sacrifice and learn exactly what God wants us to do.

'Is the Old Testament important to Christians?'

Of course it is, they invented the 'Old Testament' to replace the

Hebrew Bible, so they could add their own 'Testament'/Bible.

only when it suits them

Example: they decide homosexuality is "an abomination" (Leviticus) but then ignore other rules quoted in Leviticus such as those forbidding wearing clothes of mixed fabrics or eating shellfish.
