For non-muslims who dislislike Islam , why ?
IF IT WAS FOR TERRORISM
be sure that islam is the most peaceful religion on Earth , people who act in its name are not always tru so don't just generalize rules. Muslims only fight when somebody attacks them and nowadays we are under attack all the time.

The rules of Islam are very considering and caring for the society and specially the poor , we are ordered to take care of them and never despise them or hurt them. We are ordered to be loving , caring , peaceful , eager for knowledge and science , is that bad ?
I've read very painful words here about muslims and I just wondered : WHY ?
and its not that some muslim does something meaning all muslims will do it

I am a muslim and proud too. Just a peice of advice for everyone, you shouldn't judge a religion by its followers...islam is perfect but muslim's aren't. besides i find it strangely ironic that the christians are sitting there pointing the finger at muslims, when christianity as a religion for the past 2000 years has been the single biggest cause of bloodshed amongst its followers and other people, just to mention the crusades and the inquisition as a few examples.

the thing i find with people who say they hate islam is that most of them have false information about it, usually obtained from the media who is run by rich wealthy men who don't really care about the truth but rather want ratings.

the only things they can cite is the fatwah issued on salman rushdie and 9/11 as "evidence" of it being bad. every rational, sane person knows that islam IS peace. as for someone claiming that islam treats women badly, this is untrue. islam protects the WEAKEST people in society, those who are treated unfairly, like the old, the very young, women, orphans etc. the society we live in today is a mostly hedonistic society, based on the indiviual. islam encourages you to show love for your family, your friends, and even your neighbours. the so called civillised west only allowed women to vote in 1928, after a woman martyred herself. if she hadn't done that women may never have been able to vote anywhere, whereas in islam, a woman is allowed to vote and inherit as well as keep her last name, a luxury that women living in the west weren't allowed.

people who say muslim women are treated badly by men, that is due to the individual man's flaws as a person, it has nothing to do with islam. as for the ayah in surat al nisaa, scholars have agreed that "beating" in this sense is only to be administered with the stalk of a flower- which isn't really beating, it serves more in the metaphorical sense. finally the notion of honour killing has no place in islam. i challenge anyone to find me a quotation from the quraan that encourages so called honour killings, i would even be content with a strong hadith.

I can understand why many are wary, for all the obvious reasons. However, I think many are more annoyed at how those in power have caved in to the "Rights" of the foreign religions over what is a Christian (by way of monarch) country rather than the individuals themselves, who (in my experience) only stand bewildered at the way things have gone.



I do not know of course as to whether this is all a method as designed by those in power to divide the country, but however it has been thought, that is the way it is. By attempting to integrate a group that is seen to (if only by extremists) cause atrocities, those in power have only exaggerated the problem by effectively putting them up in lights.



Sadly people tend to forget that we are all basically the same, but instead see the extreme as a generalisation. After all, few see White Christians as the extreme of BNP do they. We should not tar everyone with the same brush.

I suspect that fear is born out of ignorance, and a lot of people who attack Muslims are doing so out of ignorance. I'm just beginning to study Islam because I want to know why it is so different to Christianity. What I have found, so far, confirms what you say - that true Islam is peaceful. It promotes justice, tolerance and compassion. Their concern to love others and to be generous to the poor is exemplary. Their morality is also to be admired. If only those who are Christians in name only took the time to examine their own conduct, they might be less likely to criticise and condemn the majority of peaceful, law-abiding Muslims.

I have no problem with Islam at all except for the way women are treated.Where i live at in Belgium,the morrocan muslims treat the women really badly and i dont agree with the religious laws that allow the stoning/killing of women(which some of them still do)in the name of religion and ''honour''.
