Well, I know the objective of christianity is eternal life ..but, what about the objective of Islam ? and judaism? what about the purpose of the mystical world (Wicca, voodoo, paganism)? Why would motivate someone to practice a spirituality without an objective ..?

Well ok in terms of "eternal" objectives Islam and christianity are generally the same to get to their respective versions of heaven. Judaism is basically the same also. However their "earthy objectives" are very much different.

Judaism is a seperatist kind of religion.... the laws of Judaism are designed so that jews will stand out among other people. One should be able to see a persons actions, dress, diet and say that is one of God's chosen people. People may join Judaism but they do not actively seek out new believers.

Christianity is evangelical. The Idea is we have something good and we wish all people to know what we have and have the opportunity to have the same thing.

Islam is also this way except it seems that if one chooses to deny islam they are to be dealt with by believers where in christianity.. only God can and should "punish non believers"

Earth centered religions such as wicca paganism etc. Are all about harmony with all things... balance. No real evanglism because for the most part these religions are with out heirarchy and the individual picks and chooses what they wish to practice and not.

Voodoo... is also about balance but not nature centered. (the person who said voodoo is about harming people for no reason has NO idea about what voodoo is and needs to stop watching movies) It is about the many spirits and gods that occupy and control the world. Appeasing these spirits is what the religion is designed to do. Many of voodoo's symbols such as the voodoo doll were used for healing not to harm. It is only seen as evil because slaves realized their owners feared them... and let it stay that way to have some amount of power. It is the same with Santeria all based in africa and evolved in the americas with slavary... The gods names and forms were changed to hide them from slave owners. Hense all the christian images in these religions. These are probably the most misunderstood religions.

Buddhism is also about balance... good with evil... the ultimate eternal goal being reaching enlightenment through the cleansing of the chi over several life cycles. Mostly this is based on the efforts of the individual not as much through an act of the divine -

Hinduism is similar however the presence of many gods is much more previlant. Wanting these gods to assist the individual in rising among the castes to leave the mortal coil to nirvana (basically enlightenment

There is always some kind of objective... weither it be to a supernatural existance or something like reincarnation. Religion is formed by a purpose, rituals beliefs designed to bring the individual to an ultimate goal.

I hope this helped and I didn't ramble on too long :D

The main philosophy in Islam are

1 God the creator of all (no son, no trinity)

Practice of the 5 pillars of Islam, which are fasting, charity, prayer, acknowledgement that there is one God, pilgramage.

Follow the Quran which is considered the last book from God, the Torah and the bible were the previous books, which islamically speaking were changed, and the Quran was promised to be the last revelation and protected.

To believe that Mohammad was the last prophet of Islam.

The first prophet was considered Adam and continued down the line and Mohammad came after Jesus(which is also considered a prophet as well).

The basic teachings of Islam without getting into a long answer is basically:

Remembering Allah's(God) oneness and greatness. by the way Allah is the "arabic" word for God which is used by arab christians as well, and by doing that the 5 times a day prayer plays the most important part of worshipping Allah.

To be good to all mankind including family, friends and others,

To help others.

Just because someone is a muslim doesnt guarantee him a place in paradise, its his good deeds that shall out weigh his bad deeds that will get him a place in paradise.

We must earn our place there by doing the above, if not we will be in hell fire.

Thats it in a nutshell.

Objective of Islam is: to create a peaceful life and do right things in order to go to heaven . - so all Ur life you r doing lots of things to do so. Objective Judaism: You follow the laws of moses to Wat ? go to heaven. Wicca/ paganism: you attune urself with the earth and gods/esses.once again to a heaven called: summer land. Or to better urself and create another life{ reincarnation} Now voodoo: is just fun and hatred, you harm others for no reason and u do not get anywhere~!!! Basically Eternal life is the objective of religions . But even reoccurring lives u must strive 4!!! Everything in the world has a meaning wether u fail to realize such 11 good ? though!!! Bye!!

I'll let the representatives of the other ideologies answer for themselves as it pertains to their objectives.

The object of Judaism is to bring light to the world to be a beacon on the hill to help remove the darkness from the world.

The object of Islam is to bring their repressive cruel darkness to the world through war, rape. robbery, slavery. and murder.

The object of Christianity is to bring reconciliation between God and mankind not just eternal life.

Judaism believes in a paradise earth when all wickedness is gone and the paradise that Adam and Eve had is restored.

Psalms 37:9,10,11,29 People will raise from the dead and enjoy eternal life on a beautiful earth.

Those who are wicked return to the dust as he told Adam

"for dust you are and to dust you will return"

there are sacrifices that have to be made for allah/god. "Answer my question" if a women earns money, she does not have to spend it on her children or anything except what she might want to spend it on. only in the last few decades have women had the right to inherit something from their parents, well for the last 1400 years in islam women get a substantial share (not as big as the brothers share, simply because when she gets married she will also get her husbands share) of their parents property and other things left behind. in many many cultures, when a man and a women want to get married. the womens family need to pay a sort of dowry to the men's family and they also have to pay for the wedding. in islam the man has to pay for the wedding and he also has to give her meher (which is basically a certain amount of money, so that if he dies, or they get divorced she will not be out of pocket) in islam a women can not be forced to marry any man. if her parents force her to marry someone who she does not like, then the marriage is not complete in the sight of allah. in islam women keep their modesty and for this they must cover up. you dont understand what it means to be a muslim. a muslim is someone who gives up everything for their lord because in the end he will give them great rewards in paradise. for example (i know this is a silly analogy but humour me) i hate ironing my clothes and i also hate wearing suites, but if i am going to an interview for a job, then i need to do both those things, basically i need to sacrifice a few things in order to get my dream job. in the same way we muslims sacrifice for our lord. oh and yes i know its seems thats women are worse of in islam but actually if you look into the details its much harder for a man to enter heaven than it is for a women (after all that is the final goal). ok now let me ask you, next time your doing an exam. the night before when you should be studying hard for the exam, i want you to go out, have fun, dont study and then turn up for the exam late. will you do that, No! now try to understand that this life is a test for mankind and we too can not waste it having fun and disobeying allah. it has been said that allah will ask a person with the least amount of punishment in hell, "if i were to place you back on earth would you give everything up for me" and the man will reply "oh allah i would give it all up" and allah will say "when you lived on earth i never asked you to give everything up, all i wanted was a little sacrifice" (that was in my own words, not a direct quote)
