Why are you so damm ignorant. Most terrorists aren't Muslim and the Qur An doesn't preach violence. Jihad is a war against yourself. If you are a porker for example, you would try not to eat doughnuts because they pack on the pounds. That is you Jihad. There is no such thing as holy war. Christians were terrorists with the Crusades nd the inquisition. There are always extremists. Religion is interpreted in weirrd ways.

Most Muslims would insist that there's is a religion of peace. Most muslims I know are peaceful people.



However, the proof of the pudding is that most of the terrorism that is taking place in the world right now are being fought by men in the guise in the name of Islam.



Now when you see such a strong positive correlation, you must ask yourself the question of why this is.

The fact is there are parts of the Quran that can be used by terrorist to justify their actions. There are parts of the Quran that call for the killing of innocent people. These are easy to find on the internet so I will not labour them here.



Now when such terrorism occurs, the problem is that the peaceful muslim community leaders are often slow to condemn such violence and the rest of the world do not see prominent muslim leaders standing up for a peaceful Islam. Who do we see? The crazed Iranian President, the Ayatollahs of the world calling for Jihad. When do we see a prominent Imam getting up on the world stage calling for peace and actually doing something like getting rid of the people they claim are putting bad light onto Islam? When this does not happen, you can't blame the non-muslims to thing that there is some hidden agenda that somehow the rest of the muslims support the terrorists.



Would some of our muslim readers please write something sensible and give us something objective to chew on?

Though outnumbered more than three times (one thousand to three hundred) in the battle, the Muslims met with success, killing at least forty-five Meccans and taking seventy prisoners for ransom; only fourteen Muslims died. This marked the real beginning of Muslim military achievement.



Muhammad turned to raiding caravans bound for Mecca. Caravan-raiding was an old Arabian tradition and according to Watt was "a kind of sport rather than war"and that the object of the raids was to take animals and other goods but killing was carefully avoided. Muslims justified the raids by the Meccans' confiscation of the property they had left at Mecca and the state of war deemed to exist between the Meccans and the Muslims.

The problem is the term 'terrorist'. 'Terrorist' is now the name given to ANYONE who actively opposes the American occupation of Iraq, and by extension, the Israeli claim to its land in the Middle East.

Terrorists are usually people who are very, very committed to some belief or ideal, and they are usually bumping heads with a much stronger, larger adversary, Therefore, they resort to fighting a "war" their own way. I'm not precisly sure on what the Kuran teaches in regards to violence, however, I realize that what we see is terrorists from other countries coming at us when it is also a very real fact that there are men and women in our very own country that are plotting as well. I HAVE found, however, that due to the narrow mindedness of us Americans, we tend to assume that we have never, or would never plot such evil, and that only (low class society) would do such a thing.. like people from the Middle East.. Bear in mind I am NOT calling them lower class. I am saying that many Americans view us as being supreme.. So in answer to your question, we hear more about what "they" have done, because thats the way the government likes it as well as what people want to believe. We have extreamists here as well, sadly.. People who do not respect human life and kill for the sole reason of "making a point".... Women, children, ect... its very sad...

I'm not a politician. but I'm a Muslim girl. these words & titles attributed to Muslims are being preached by western government politicians, since they know if the people of the world know what is Islam, there would not be any non-Muslim person on the earth.
