I have been following your past few questions and I think you should go for it. If you can find fault you can save her from a lot of heart ache. If you can not then you have found a truth that you like and that is the best you can do.

I would say go for it, then that way you can decide for yourself rather then listening to ANTI JW's websites most of which especially the one you quoted distort and a lot of the time lie about us.

So go to the source which is www.jw.org

Kind regards

Terry

PS if you would like to ask me questions, then that is OK as I have 25 year experiance in teaching the bible, and if you like I will use only the bible!

IF you post the link to the OFFICIAL Jehovah's Witness website in additional comments to your questions I may consider reappraising my opinion of this question. Do you know what the best site to find out real facts about Jehovah's Witnesses is?

EDIT Good girl; now click on that and read everything you see.

then click on this

http://www.jw.org/en/publications/books/bible-teach/is-this-what-god-purposed/

And get started (read the entire book and don't forget to use your personal bible to check all the scriptures - you can't "prove us wrong" untill you've checked every single scripture in your own bible. Get to it.

Oh and don't forget to ask about going to the CONVENTIONS and ASSEMBLIES as well as the Kingdom Hall - You'll want to "expose" us if we are hypocrits and don't practise what we preach. Find out when and go there!!

BTW Will you be studying with your gramma, or with the person TEACHING your gramma?

Be careful with the Ex- J.W.'s who in reality are Apostates. They are in total spiritual darkness for having rejected the truth of the word of God.

What do you have to lose? The more knowledge you take in and the better understanding you have the clearer our beliefs will be and you will become enlightened.

May Jehovah bless your efforts. I wish you well. When your family hears of this they will turn on you. Be prepared and stand firm.

Not to scary you, but many have become Jehovah's Witnesses trying to prove them wrong.

My prayer for you is the same as Paul's.

(NASB) Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

16 while making mention of you in my prayers; 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened,

I hope you understand an analogy I am going to give you. Here it goes: I see your Avatar picture you choose is a cute shapely girl in a pair of jeans. Ok! For all we know you are a dirty old man, but let's pretend that is really you! Now, let's say you are trying to explain to another girl with a good figure that those pair of jeans are very expensive.,,,they are made well and you have worn their brand before in various styles...let's say they are designer's jeans. Now that other person tells you that she saw an identical pair in a store that was a fourth the price of what you paid. What would you say to her? Wouldn't you question if that was a knock off pair of jeans? Wouldn't you tell her that there maybe some similarities but it is no way the very same quality? My point is; if you or your 'Gran' is looking at an apostate web-site they are not getting the truth by any means. Apostate's are only into twisting the truth for their hate agenda! If you do not care about that "small detail", then I guess you both will continue on that site, won't you. However, if you do truly want to know what is in the Scriptures and how it matches up to ANY Bible you car to use, then look at our Official Web-site. There are no secrets either....go into publications and On-Line Library...you can type in all sorts of words and articles will come up.

I hope my analogy helped you think...this is very serious.

It is your life, you have to do what you want.

As to the verse Chris Land mentioned (the verses supposedly proving Jesus is God), they are corrected in almost every Protestant and Catholic modern English Bible there is. You can check many of them at http://www.biblegateway.com and if you want compare them all to the JW NWT here http://www.jw.org/en/publications/bible/genesis/1

There are also many Bibles and mainline church references online that translate stauros as stake instead of cross, tell the pagan origin of the tau or t, that tell the churches also believe Jesus is Michael the archangel (and other angels in the Bible) even though they also claim he is God Almighty. (I have lists of those saved too).

JWs didn't make up this stuff. We found it out by decades of research into Bible versions, MSS, codexes, LXX, mainline church references, history books, encyclopedias, etc. and all who come in do the same research for themselves to whatever degree they need to. It is especially easy to do online.

You must keep talking to your Gran! And you must pray for her even more so! She is in great danger! I'm sure she will have the JW Bible, the New World Translation. Ask her to open it to Galatians chapter 1 where from verse 6 the apostle Paul warns the Christians in Galatia:

"I marvel that you are being so quickly removed from the One who called you with Christ's undeserved kindness over to another sort of good news. But it is not another; only there are certain ones who are causing you trouble and wanting to pervert the good news about the Christ. However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to you as good news something beyond what we declared to you as good news, let him be accursed."

Now, put this question to her: "Gran, what is the good news, according to the JWs?"

But don't allow your Gran to show you the answer as written in any JW publications. Refuse to look at them. Insist that the two of you stick only to what the Bible says. If she has studied for a year she will certainly know the JW version of the good news (or, gospel.)

She will go on about the evil in the world reaching a climax when God will start His battle of Armageddon; that JWs will survive because they have pleased God by being the only ones in all the Earth preaching the good news; that the millennium will then start and Earth will become a paradise; no more sin, dying or tears; the resurrection of the dead will begin and take a long time to complete. All who come back as perfect humans will learn from the Armageddon survivors how to please Jehovah by following His instructions, that come from heaven via JW leaders on Earth. If they do the right things and remain obedient to Jehovah's earthly organization, they should then pass the final test at the end of the thousand years, when Satan will be released for a final attack. If they pass that test, they can relax. They will be finally saved and live forever on a paradise Earth. But if they disobey thereafter, they will be annihilated.

That is the JW version of the good news. Now. Get your Bible and study these passages:

Mark 1:15 & 6:6-13

Luke 5:32 & 24:45-49

Acts 1:8 & 4:10-12 & 8:35 & 10:34-43 & 9:20 & 13:38 & 17:18 & 18:25 & 28:31

Romans 1:1-9 & 4:23 to 5:9 & 6:22-23 & 8:1-17 & 10:9-17

1st Corinthians 1:23 & 2:2 & 15:1-8

2nd Corinthians 2:12-14 & 4:4-6 & 5:18-21

Ephesians 1:3-22

Philippians 1:15-18 & 27-29 & 3:9, 18

Colossians 1:19-23 & 2:2-3 & 4:3

2nd Timothy 1:8-12 & 2:8

Hebrews 6:1-3

1st Peter 3:18

Once you have absorbed all of those scriptures, you will see clearly what the biblical good news is. It does not include anything about what the JWs say is the good news! That's because, although God may do this, that or the other in the future, the good news is not about the future. It's about what God did, in Christ, in history, at Calvary and the empty tomb! It's not about earthly pleasures, it's about having our sins pardoned as an act of God's grace and love, and not due to anything we can do! The good news is all about Jesus Christ and realising just who He is and putting all our faith in Him alone!

If you don't have a clear grasp of that, the JWs will mold you like putty into becoming a JW, as they are doing with your Gran. But Galatians 1 warns us that if we follow those who preach another gospel - a gospel different to the one the apostles preached in the first century - we are accursed by God! That is why you must never allow their literature to influence you! It's based on a false gospel and a false Christ! Stick ONLY to the Bible and insist that your Gran does the same! If she's not prepared to do that, you cannot agree to let the JWs talk to you, or to view their literature. Please stick only to what the Bible says. You will be lost, otherwise.

Having an answer for every objection is part of the game for them. I'd say go ahead and study with her if you want... if only for the sake of being acquainted with their arguments (if this is something that you are interested in). I find that the best way to learn how to debate is to first understand how your opponent thinks. (My justification for spending so much time here).

Good luck, keep your head, and have fun. :)

I agree it is a very nice picture. As to your comment, "my Gran has answer for every objection. Should I even be talking to her in the first place.", May I submit this is due to her having the CORRECT answers to your questions instead of some evil strategy? Normally in any school test, a correct answer remains correct no matter how many individuals repeat it on the test. It is never if three people put the same answer to the same question, then it must be wrong. Have you ever thought about that?

The objections are relatively funny showing a profound lack of any Biblical intelligence. There are at least a thousand Bible translations in existence. Most are relatively valid, at least in their time. The KJV, for example was very valid 400 years ago in the time of Shakespeare. That is exactly the way the common English speaker spoke. Times and languages, especially English, has changed.

Jehovah's Witnesses use about a hundred or more of these translations, not just the NWT alone. To assume we use only one or that it is not a clear precise translation is the height of lunacy. From all these translations we gain an accurate understanding of what the writer was trying to convey. It is from that and that alone, we get our beliefs. Unlike other religions getting most of their beliefs from pagan sources relabeled with Christian sounding names.

What everyone must do is to ask questions and demand answers. If these do not go directly to the Bible for those answers---reject them automatically. For example: if you asked, "What is God's name?" A clergyman would refer you to a historian. Then give his view based on years of training.

Jehovah's Witnesses would simply pick up your copy of the Bible to let you read Psalms 83:18 for yourself. Then John 17:3-6 showing Jesus both used and taught others that name. They could also show you from several other translations, the same details of God's personal name translated in English as Jehovah or Yahweh. Although that name was in the original manuscripts about 7,000 times, it was removed by those loyal to Satan to the point of being in many translations in different places. The NWT put it back where it belongs to the objections of many you see on these answers.

I'm fascinated by numerology. I strongly believe that numbers reflect certain aptitudes and character tendencies, as an integral part of the cosmic plan. Each letter has a numeric value that provides a related cosmic vibration. The sum of the numbers in your birth date and the sum of value derived from the letters in the name provide an interrelation of vibrations. These numbers show a great deal about character, purpose in life, what motivates, and where talents may lie.

Wow you have so many answers, This should show you one fact, that there is defiantly Truth in the word Jehovah's Witness because people only respond so passionately to something that touches their heart.

The bible says at Romans 8:27

Yet he who searches the heart knows what the meaning of the spirit is, because it is pleading in accord with God for holy ones

You test & check as much as you like, your gran is very wise to study & check out things for herself insted of saying things that have no facts or just blindly repeating words that others have said, the truth is like pudding, others may not like the taste and tell you that its no good so don't eat it, but you can either agree with them or taste it for yourself, you might like it or not, but I would not let others take away my choices & lifes experiences.

Stay away from the JWs . They have an agenda of turning family members against each other. They are a dangerous cult. If everyone became a JW the country would fall into the hands of the Islamic terrorists

You will learn how jw try to control the conversation. They delete answers by gang thumbs down to those who offer any opposition or alternate view.

Jw act as their own censors, unwilling to allow anyone with strong convictions that they are wrong about any matter to even access their questions. They use the YA block button to silence all those they do not like. You will learn fast...never say anything negative about them, they are very sensitive and will retaliate.

I studied with them. They never acted that way in my home, but boy they really put on another front here. You will see. Just see how they act in with your gram, then contrast what they say and do here.

1.) Keep in mind at all times when you are studying that Jehovah's Witnesses

deny that God came to Earth as Jesus Christ.

They teach that virtually all people who claim to be Christians will go to Hell.

They teach that Jesus is NOT God, and those who worship Jesus as God are doomed to Hell.

2.) The Jehovah's Witnesses have existed for about 100 years.

Christianity began almost 2,000 years ago.

The Jehovah's Witnesses simply are not the Church that Jesus Christ established.

3.) Most Jehovah's Witnesses I have known are personally very nice people.

Their personal decency is NOT evidence that they teach accurately.

They teach much that is just plain false.

Most of them probably are not liars, and are merely mistaken.

4.) Most importantly,

keep in mind that Jehovah's Witnesses teach that all traditional Christians

will go to Hell for believing that Jesus Christ is God.

Be kind to Gran,

and love her dearly.

Learn about the truth of The Catholic Church,

and try your best to protect your Gran from losing the Catholic faith.

I am Roman Catholic.

Peace be with you.

You know you have that right to "test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God".

(1Jo 4:1) But understand this, that once you study with Jehovah's Witnesses, you will be attacked. consider Matthew ch.13 verse 18 about a man sowing seed. He sows seed "alongside the road", "upon rocky places", "among the thorns" and "upon fine soil". The "seed" is the Bible message and it's being planted onto you. And Satan the devil is going to try to discourage and "snatch it away" from you. Or he is going to try to test you with "tribulation and persecution" or "anxieties". Just look how you posted a question to Jehovah's witness's for everyone to see and look how many people responded negatively about JW's. You wouldn't of had that response if the question was pointed towards Catholics or to Protestants or any other denomination professing Christianity. If you are truly interested in learning about the Bible, then Jehovah's Witnesses is the best option. Let the Bible speak for itself!

A lot a people on here think just talking to a JW you will be brainwashed. Well I pity them if they think so little in people, a open minded person will remain open minded but can also have strong views.

If you are fortunate enough to have the choice on how you approach religion, I suggest you exercise that choice. Having your objections met by someone elses views does not result in either faith or understanding. It can result in obedience... but that is a different thing.

No - the JW version of the Bible is very distorted, to suit their beliefs. I strongly recommend that you do NOT meet with them, because what they actually do has very little to do with what the Bible actually says and more to do with what the Watchtower magazines say - written by their own leaders, whose directives change according to what they think they need to be saying; when yet another 'prophecy' has not come true, they change what they originally declared to be 'words from God', when it was nothing of the sort!

I recently read a book about someone who was a former JW, who eventually left their organisation & became a Christian. Her accounts of these so-called 'Bible studies' involved reading short passages from a Watchtower book, with scripture references (from their own doctored Bible) to back up what the book said & then a question would be asked eg 'How many Gods are there? What is God's name? The author said this sounded so childish, and rather like brainwashing, so at first she said nothing, until the question was repeated & she realised she was expected to answer!

If you get involved with the JWs, you will become trapped in a legalistic, false 'religion' which will do nothing for your soul.

I recommend that you do study the Bible - but not with the JWs. The English Standard Version (ESV) or New International Version (NIV) are in easy to read, modern English, so there's no need to get hung up on 'Thees and Thous'. I also recommend that you find a church where the Bible is preached and believed to be 100% God's Word; so many 'churches' are so liberal that they are no more than social clubs and no more effective than chocolate fireguards in bringing people to find Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
Lungboy
2012-10-12 20:11:34 UTC
One thing that Witnesses share with Scientology is that they insist on information control. You will notice that critical answers about Witnesses on Y/A are rated down and many questions get deleted.

Several have multiple accounts to ensure that prospective converts won't see opinions that aren't shaped by the Watchtower Inc.

If you argue with Witnesses using their own bible, it's a losing fight. It has been customized to fit their doctrine. Look into the history of them inserting the name "Jehovah" into the new testament replacing the term "LORD". It drastically warps the context of many scriptures.

When I first read your question, my heart jumped for joy, but now confused!

What more evidence do you need when your own gran is answering your every negative with a positive eh? Of course you should be talking to her.

What do you mean by: one of the best website of anti witnesses? How can it be a "best" when you find it not easy to understand?

Please study with her and then you will find out what is truth and not!

Edit: Ann many people have said the same thing. I will try and prove you wrong and end up being witnesses lol One even said he was so scared for his friend joining us that he deliberately went to a convention to prove to his friend what a lying lot we are - he came out a witness - well at least started to study and became a witness himself lol

You need to stop looking at the apostate site and listen to your Gran. Your Gran will always have understanding of the Scriptures because she knows the truth that has set her free from all the lies about God, death, soul and and hell. If you listen to her you will have the hope that Jehovah holds out for all who worship him acceptably. Jesus at Matthew 5:5 "Happy are the mild-tempered ones since they will inherit the earth." This is in fulfillment of Psalms 37:11 and 29 I guarantee that your Gran will be able to answer your most perplexing questions from the Bible or from a little research.

I sincerely hope that you will not become addicted to the apostate site to your detriment.

I really appreciate that you are trying to nurture your spiritual need as Jesus told us we should. Matthew 5:3 Get on and stay on the narrow road with your Gran.Matthew 7:14 I hope you will show this answer to your Gran and tell her that I appreciate her efforts with you and so does Jehovah.

Sure you can talk to her and listen to her answers, they may not all be wrong, I was a J.W. when I was a kid and had it brain washed in to me. But as I got older and understood some of the things I couldn't when I was young like the holy ghost God and the Father then throw in Jesus it was had to understand. I am speaking of the trinity, anyway they have much to teach but are not perfect, as many religions are not, Learn as much as you can about the bible and let the holy spirit guide you, know the difference between belief and doctrine, Know if all the doctrine is based fully on the bible and none is taken out of context from the scriptures. I believe if you follow the ten commandments you do much to be like Jesus. and this is my opinion I studied later in life and found what I believe comes to be the true est religion. Hope this helps.
2012-10-12 04:41:49 UTC
Yes, of course you should be talking to your Gran, and if you are going to be studying the Bible with her, that's even better! But remember that the New World Translation the Witnesses use has been altered to fit in with their theology. In the New Testament, they have deliberately changed scriptures to detract from who Christ Jesus REALLY is. Please use another translation of the Bible (such as the New International Version or the King James Authorised Version) so you can see the subtle changes that have been made to the NWT.

Another point to remember is that the Witnesses use little booklets to study from. Has your Gran got the booklet "What Does the Bible REALLY Teach?" It is designed to take people who know nothing about the Bible through all their main teachings, and it is extremely well written and persuasive. Before you know it, you will be agreeing with your Gran that Jesus was created as Michael the Archangel, that Jesus was not bodily resurrected and that his second presence happened (invisibly) in 1914. None of that is in the Bible, though.

You will be told that only 144,000 persons since the time of Jesus can go to heaven, and that everybody else will get the opportunity to live forever on a paradise earth. Oh, what a tempting prospect that is! They paint a rosy picture of happy families living in a beautiful garden where they will meet up with their dead relatives. They say you will get 1,000 years in which to prove yourself worthy of being declared righteous and deserving of eternal life on this paradise earth. They don't want to go to heaven to be with the Lord, you see. All they can think about is earthly pleasures.

You will be told that there is no place of eternal torment, and that when you die you know nothing. You will be told that there is no such thing as an immortal soul and that everything the Church says about the Trinity is based on paganism. Unless you know your Bible very well, you will be unable to refute these allegations.

By all means, take a look at what the Witnesses believe. But remember they say in order to be saved, you have to join their organisation and be faithful, loyal and obedient to their Governing Body. Strange, but it doesn't say that in my Bible.
2012-10-11 12:28:38 UTC
"She says she happy to do this as she as studied for just over a year now and can not find fault with them."

She obviously isn't trying hard enough. She suffers from confirmation bias, and sees and believes what she wants to.

No harm in talking to a JW, but they can get really pushy, so keep your wits about you, and don't be afraid to push back.

And you don't need to check every scripture of the bible to prove JWs wrong. You only need to find one that doesn't agree with reality, and you prove them and every other bible-based faith wrong simultaneously. You'll find the first one at the beginning of Genesis. Have fun!

Hello,

You may know and accept that from God's view there can only be one truth: his.

How does one find out among the 19 or so major religions, or indeed the 41,000 or so different groups all claiming to 'have the truth' of Christ?

Simply consider who teaches religion, and who teaches the Bible, which proves itself inspired, therefor correct in all aspects.

The answer is: Jehovah's (Christian) Witnesses teach the Bible, NOT religion first.

The websites of those who oppose them do not offer anything new, neither will they in future. Why not? Because they have their own version of 'truth', NOT Jehovah God's version.

Ask yourself: can any of them guarantee lasting peace on earth if their professed religion was the only one left on earth? Jehovah's Witnesses can say this with hand on heart, since they already are endeavouring to apply Bible principles in their daily lives.

The almost 8 million have unity, across a broad band of people from all walks of life, showing neutrality, even under extreme circumstances.

Their strength is from our Creator, Jehovah, and his son Jesus Christ.

Kind greetings, Günter

Bible study with JWs is the most crucial stage!

That's when your mind can be turned.

I knew nothing of JWs when I accepted a bible study.

It lost me many years of my life.

They are very convincing, but so is satan!

JWfacts.com gives some valid factual evidence & proof

that JWs are not who they say they are.

For instance, why did the translators of the NWT bible

omit 50 of 287 'J' versions by only placing what they

consider is a vital amendment - Putting God's name back,

into only 237 of those 287 'J' Versions??

Because the other 50 'J' versions omitted showed that Jesus

was also known by the tetragrammaton too!

Hence, Jesus was Jehovah by name in the Old Testament.

2012-10-12 11:56:46 UTC
Yes absolutely, you should study with her! By doing so you will then get a glimpse into a world that only wants to control you BUT that is for you to find out. I have met many JWs in the past and have much respect for their beliefs BUT when there are obvious discrepancies, they must be addressed and discussed with an open mind and an open heart.

One thing you must understand is that the Bible can be read without any guidance from the JW leaders or any other leaders you may think of. The Bible is explicit on how one is to understand the Bible and what may that be, you ask? THE HOLY SPIRIT!! No need for any guidance other than this powerful being! Yes you must respect your Grandmother by all means, it is up to you if you want to point out major contradictions such as the position Jesus holds in Heaven, Paradise Earth, refusal of blood transfusions (this one is very sad, many have unnecessarily died especially children), their idea of the resurrection and the list goes on. The Jehovah's Witnesses use the eisegetical approach to the Scripture in order to control and manipulate their members for personal gain-MONEY. If you want to investigate as we have done here and find out for yourself, be my guest. If you need any assistant, please email me. We are here to help. Peace.

Make her leave aside the Witness literature and give hare a real christian bible and just let her read the bible with you and do it in context.

you have linked to one of the better sites

Keep in mind that the witnesses are in a cult and have developed lots of excuses for their theology

I was a Witness for 22 years and I am glad to be out of the cult

Be sure to look at the topic on fear and mind control it is important that if you are going to be interacting with a cult that you are prepared for how they work and the signs of mind control

http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/fear-cult-mind-control.php

Also you need to look at "Love bombing" and how it works in cults

You can see an obvious example of it in the responses from the Witnesses on this forum in regards to you and your interest

http://www.quotes-watchtower.co.uk/love_bombing.html

I will provide some links you can use for comparison where in the very same Witnesses who are being so kind to you are being vicious and hateful towards someone who is questioning their doctrine

In the below question you can see the very same Witnesses who are love bombing you become hateful towards an ex Witness who questions their doctrine"

Of course you should talk to her.

She's your "gran," so you should be nice enough to talk to her about what she thinks.

That doesn't mean you have to agree with her.

Honestly, the JW's are so off base in comparison to the Bible (make sure not to just use one of their versions, since they delete verses that disagree with them), that there are tons of things to show them wrong, you just have to study.

The easiest argument to cut a JW off at the knees is to look at their founders. That means to look at William Miller and Charles Taze Russell. Miller started the Adventist Movement (from which come the Seventh Day Adventists) and Russell started the offshoot of that, the JWs.

Both of them attempted to predict the end of the world and set specific dates for them. Both of them were wrong on multiple occasions. Russell went so far as to claim that the Great Pyramid of Giza had secret information given by God, since he was big into numerology.

This verse takes both men and demonstrates that they are not of God:

Deuteronomy 18:22 - "When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him."

That verse shows that anyone claiming to be able to prophesy from God (and to say that He showed you what specific day the world would end is just that) and then ends up wrong, that person is not of God at all.

So, neither Miller nor Russell are of God. So, that tells you all you need to know about their followers.

EDIT:

One day a group of JWs will actually come to my home.

I am eagerly awaiting that day.

I never got to see it as a child, since they came to my parents' house when I was very young, and after about an hour of having my dad rip them apart using his Bible, they left dismayed and added that house to their "do not visit" list.

I want to have the fun of doing that too!

The Bible, because of the length of time it was written and what it is about, verifies with past history and fulfilled prophecies it’s truth. The Bible contains 66 separate books, which were written by thirty six men who were chosen by God to script His words. This took place over 1600 years and the evidence is in the events and the purpose of the scriptures.

The purpose of the entire Bible is to tell us about our condition of being separated from God because of our sins, God's plan to to come down from Heaven in the form of the man Jesus to be our Savior by dieing in our place for our sins, Jesus' birth, life, death and resurrection, that God's prophecy has taken place and about our invitation to belong to God as His adopted children through acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Savior.

The Bible is God's written Word to us.

It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.

“Above all you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” 2 Peter 1:20-21. (New International Version)

Breakdown of the Bible

36 human authors inspired entirely by God over 1600 years.

66 separate books

39 Old Testament

Genesis- The creation of the world, sin, flood and birth of Israel who are Jesus’ ancestors

Exodus to Esther- History of the nation of Israel

(This is where many people have a problem. These books are concerning the nation of Israel and God's dealings with them and their enemies. They are not laws for us today).

Job to Proverbs- the books of poetry and wisdom

Isaiah to Malachi- Prophecy or foretelling of the future events to come. Some at this time, have already happened.

27 New Testament

Matthew to John - Four Gospels representing the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ now with all authority in Heaven and earth.

Acts- Birth of the Church (The Bride of Christ)

Romans to Jude - Letters to the Churches

Revelations - The ultimate future plans for: The Church, Heaven, Hell, a New Heaven and a New Earth.

DO NOT be taken in by the Watch Tower Society...... it is a man-invented cult..... they have no Authority from God for any of their claims..... The teaching of the JWs is NOT any part of The True Church commissioned by God..... They ARE NOT "Christians"...... no one can find The Way to God, that He prescribes, through any instructions of the Watch Tower Society

I invite you to visit my site... just an old man going on a bit about the God stuff... I am in the slow process of trying to rebuild it... but you may find something there for you... if you have any questions concerning the basics feel free to contact me...

The J.W.'s are an 'imported' sect. In this country we should be using our Holy Bible. Queen Victoria 'stabilised' it - hence the A.K.J.V. - and Queen Elizabeth 2nd. carried it on.
