why do protestants believe everyone goes to heaven?

What would be the point of hell if we all go to heaven? Many a time i have found myself in an argument with them, as i am a Catholic. They tell me this and that about how Catholicism is wrong, then suddenly they don't know what to say when i ask them, "Don't you believe that everyone goes to heaven?" What is the point of arguing about how i am on such a wrong path because I'm a Catholic, if we're both going to heaven? I, on the other hand, believe that any non-catholic will not go to heaven, as being Protestant is seen as blasphemy, which, before you get defensive, I can answer as to why if you ask. This, among many others, is a hole that i haven't received an answer to. So Protestants, do you honestly believe that everyone goes to heaven?
ps
Mature answers are appreciated, and not just ones that say this and that about believing what i do.

Protestants are the reasons why many hate Christians.

What an odd claim. Most of the universalists I know are Catholics - universalism seems to me to be much more in keeping with the findings of the Second Vatican Council (which admitted that there was salvation for Jews, Muslims, and Protestants, among others) than your extreme exclusivism. Most 'conservative' Protestants believe that salvation is only intended for the tiny minority of the 'elect', and that all others - including Papists - are destined for the fiery pits of hell.

I'm an Anglican, and - while I wouldn't say that there is definitely salvation for all - I would agree with Catholic theologians Hans Kung, Basil Hume, and Karl Rahner that it is legitimate to hope that there might be salvation for all people.

That sounds like universalism and I'm yet to meet a Bible believing Christian who believes everyone goes to heaven. Universalism is a nice doctrine but it doesn''t hold true to orthodox beliefs so can be assumed heretic.

The Protestants I know believe in heaven and hell but that only God can judge for sure who goes where.

The only person (in real life) who I've heard say "no body goes to hell" was an unchurched unbeliever, not a protestant.

I am neither catholic nor protestant. As a Baptist, we do NOT believe that everyone is going to Heaven. Rather we believe that in accordance with the Word of God, the Holy Bible, that only those that accept Jesus as their Saviour are going to Heaven.

Salvation is NOT based upon religious denominations, it matters not if we are Baptist, catholic, or whatever. Nor is salvation based upon our so-called good works.

Salvation is based solely upon the good work of Jesus Christ...and only those that accept Jesus will go to Heaven.

Protestants do not believe everyone goes to heaven, so write a new question that makes sense.

There are a variety of beliefs on this theme in the Protestant tradition. By the way, since when are "Baptists" not Protestants? This is certainly news to me.

Protestants don't believe that everyone goes to heaven. They believe that anyone who truly believes in Jesus for salvation and humbles themselves before God and repents of their sins will receive salvation by Grace. It is the doctrine of works for salvation that protestants reject.

Only those people who have accepted the gift of salvation from Jesus Christ will go to heaven.

"What would be the point of hell if we all go to heaven?"

I thought the point of hell was to punish satan, not people... I guess God created the fire pit of eternal damnation to burn people who accidentally choose the wrong denomination. Yeah that makes sense.

And how is being Protestant blasphemy? Do tell.

I'm a "Protestant" and I don't believe that.
