Question:
Why do Christians deny that Muslims worship the EXACT same god as them?
2016-04-10 19:10:33 UTC
He IS the god of Abraham.

Almost the whole gang is found in the Quran (Moses, Mother Mary, Jesus, Noah, Adam and Eve, etc.)

Jesus Christ is mentioned over twenty times, Mohammed only 4 times.

Christianity is a 2,000 year old desert religion from the Middle East of almost the EXACT place Islam is founded.

They are the same gods.

The one true God laid out His prophesies of what was to come through His Word. This same God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob and the ones Christians follow are the same. However if you don't accept what God (God of Abraham) said He was going to do by way of Jesus Christ then God really hasn't changed but the method to receive Him and Eternal life had. This stumbling block does not detract from God for Jesus was God in the Flesh because God is Omni everything. So why can't an Omni Present God pour His fullness into Jesus without measure. Colossians 1:19 and 2:5-9 . What makes the religions different is a stumbling block that even the Jehovah witness are falling to. They spend sooo much time trying to craft their way around Jesus Christ that they too miss out on salvation. There is Only One way to Heaven. Bless the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There is no other name above Him.

Muslims and Christians does NOT worship the same god. I'm an Arab and I know all about the Islamic religion.. Muslims say that Torah and bible were corrupted and since they don't believe in Torah they can never be worshipping an Abrahamic god..not to mention that muslims have a habit of calling Christians and Jews by 'infidels' that further proofs that Islam is nothing but a rogue cult made by a pedophile Arab who only cared about war and sex.

This subject is more complex than you indicate.

If I were to give you some personal details of a nameless person, (since the word god is a title) stating that the person I am describing has 2 wives, 5 children, and lives in Utah, while someone else describes a person who has no wives, no children and lives in New York - is there any way on this earth you would think them the same person? I think not.

The Christian God has a name which occurs in the Bible 7000 circa, it is Jehovah. He has many sons, and his firstborn's earthly name is Jesus, the Christ promised to redeem mankind. The Muslim God is known as Allah, which is their word for god. He has no known name in the Qur'an, and he does not have any sons. Neither did his firstborn die for our sins as a redeemer.

So, please answer the question: are the two gods in question here, one or two different individuals!

As you can see, some may say no quite clearly.

The Gods worshipped by these two groups exhibit fundamentally different traits, and there is no legitimate reason to believe they are the same.

The claim that they are the same likely originated with non-violent Muslims, in an attempt to alleviate them from the Quranic commands to eliminate those who will not convert to Islam; commands which are the foundation of jihadi extremism.

Obviously, the majority of Muslims are not violent people, but that does not change the fact that there is significant social pressure for them to regard the Quran as truth.

Therefore, in an attempt to both follow Quranic doctrine and not commit violent acts of terror, many make the unfounded claim that the Christian God and the Allah of Islam are two names for the same God; when they have little in common from the objective standpoint.

Here are some reasons why Christians deny that Allah is the same God as Yahweh:

Yahweh (the Jewish God) says he will bless his people through Isaac. Christians believe Jesus preexisted in heaven as the Word of God before he came to earth to be born as a human in order to save us from our sins. Also, Christians believe Jesus died, was resurrected and will return to judge the world. Allah (the Muslim God) says Ishmael is the chosen line, Jesus did not die and was not resurrected but Allah took him to heaven, Jesus is a Muslim and when he returns he will wipe out all of Islam's enemies, including the Jews and the Christians.

How can Yahweh be Allah when they contradict one another?

How can Yahweh be Allah when Allah plans to wipe out the worshippers of Yahweh?

How can Yahweh be Allah when the teachings of the Bible and the Qur'an are so opposed? And why do Muslims fail to accept the holy and inspired Word of God that predates the Qur’an?

That is why all Christians refuse to buy into the lie that the God they worship is Allah. Furthermore, the Jesus of the Qur'an is not the Jesus of the Bible. Jesus was never a Muslim and he is not coming back as a follower of Muhammad. Jesus died, was resurrected and has returned to heaven (from whence he originally came). Muslims refuse to accept the truth of who Jesus really is, and for that reason alone, no Christian will ever see Allah as their God.

Christians do not recognize the Allah of the Qur'an because he bears no resemblance to the Yahweh of the Bible.

The first link shows how the Jesus of the Qur’an (Isa) bears no similarity to the Jesus of the Bible. The second link exposes the origins of the God worshipped by Islam. The third link is a comparison between Islam and Christianity.

Well most Christians worship as God and muslims definitely don't do that. So how can they worship the EXACT same God?
2016-04-12 03:01:04 UTC
I wonder why people who believe in a myth have a need to claim their myth is the same as someone else's myth. If Christians and Muslims shared the same totalitarian dictator in the sky why they cannot co-exist peacefully. Muslims in the Middle East do not treat Christians as their brothers and sisters. In fact being a Christian in the Middle East is not exactly safe!

It could certainly be agreed that two branches of the same myth believed in the same non-existent supernatural being. However, Roman Catholics (Christians) and Russian Orthodox (Christians). Until quite recently in my country Roman Catholics (Christians) and Protestants (Christians) used to blow each other up. In your own myth system Shi'ites (Muslims) and Sunnis (Muslims) despise each other.

To follow through your argument the Jews had this mythical god before either the Christians or the Jews. It is rather an understaement to say that Jews and Muslims do not get along. For centuries Christians persecuted Jews for killing their god, something they believe impossible anyway.

I think it safe to say that your thesis is entirely refuted.

Christians are people who believe that Jesus Christ is one person of a trinitarian God (one God in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). The Koran mentions Jesus as a prophet, but specifically denies that he is God. You can't lay the blame for that at the feet of Christians or the Muslims; both the Koran and the Bible are at odds - the followers of each are bound by their respective holy books.

The word "Allah", on the other hand simply means "God". And Arabic Christian follows Allah; an Arabic Muslim follows Allah. An Arabic Christian does not follow the Allah of the Koran; an Arabic Muslim does not follow the God of the Bible. an Arabic Christian maintains that only the Biblical God is true; the Arabic Muslim maintains that only the Allah of the Koran is true.

First of all even though Muslims claim to worship the same God they make claims about that God that are incompatible with the Christian faith. Namely Muslims claim God cannot have a son. Since Jesus is the Son of God that claim cannot ever be reconciled with the Christian faith. So either Muslims are making false claims about the one true God or else they are worshipping a different God.

Remember - you asked for the Christian perspective.

I don't believe that muslims and christians worship same GOD....if they worship the same GOD, there will not be muslim burned down church or vice versa....i don't say all muslims is cruel, evil, or something but in my country, i think a big group of muslims and a big group of christians can't be get along since muslims have the biggest population in here and they think they are like 'dominating' the country...i don't know about muslims with another religion tho...

I studied it for a couple of years back in like 2005-2007. Just for educational and social understanding of Muslims and Arabs. If your someone messing with it for witchcraft and spirituality, your asking for trouble. They are NOT the same God, The God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, is a sweet, although at times angry and jealous God. Jesus Christ understands humans, because he was here for 33 and a half years. But they are not, and even people that have describe it at the beginning of the book, describe it as a Marine demon. Green, with teeth, E.T. eyes, and crawls walls on the caves like Spider-Man. Compared to The God of Abraham, even some people claim to see him now, he looks like a normal person (usually an old man, that is in good health) or a human size fire, or a king on a throne. There is no way one is the other. Jesus Christ is describe looking much like his portraits but more Middle Eastern, not sure about the hair and eyes, and the hands were not pierced, his wrists were, and The Holy Spirit, is usually described as dove or a man looking like Moses in "The Prince of Egypt" these days. So no way are they the same.

Because Muslims deny the Divinity of Christ and desecrate the memory of the virgin birth by claiming Him to be a mere prophet, like Moses. If you do not believe in the Divinity of Christ, you do not believe in the same God as Christians, because Christians believe that Christ is God in three persons (the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost). If you're a Muslim, by necessity, your 'religion' does not believe this.

Depends on what "Christian" you ask. A Mormon would say they worship the God of Abraham (whom they say is Jesus) and Heavenly Father. Most "Christians" worship a triune God (I am a Christian, but do not believe in the Trinity) and Muslims worship a God that is one. So maybe it's just the idea of who God is exactly. I think that's the difference. Also the God of the Bible has a name that is יהוה while the Qur'an has their God named Allah (or God; depending on translation). Otherwise its the same exact God (kinda).

Well, Muslims tell Christians that they worship the same god as a deceiving tactic to maneuver thought patterns in a Christian that is not fully rooted in the words of Jesus the Christ... Don't forget satin wanted to be like God and to sit in his chair... Satin is bound by Spiritual law that he cannot make anything that is unknown to man... Meaning he has full power and authority to pervert any and everything that does exist... Christ was crucified for the sins of man.. now longer did men need to sacrifice animals but satin ultimate goal was to sacrifice humans.. when God stopped Abraham from killing Isaac he showed the difference between Muslims and the true people of God.. Christian do not kill for the sake of gifts in heaven... nor multiple wives in the afterlife. .. A person must be 100 blind to think otherwise. ..

Christians deny muslims worship the 'exact' god as them because allah (little a) is not god (little g). The God of the Bible is not the god of the Koran. Allah and God are not the same being, form or person. I've read through the comments, none of the answers are correct. One of the comments had some truth in it, but did not cover the whole truth. Christians believe in JESUS CHRIST as the Son of the Living God. Which He was, He Is, and always will be. Allah was just a man in favor of the moon god just as Muhammad was just a man is dead, and still is dead. JESUS CHRIST is GOD. Both are one, inseparable as a Trinitarian form. All are co-equal with each other. I've seen some people say: "He IS the god of Abraham." The answer is: no allah is not. Abraham had two sons, Issac and Ishmael. God chose Issac to be the son of promise, the one chosen for a covenant. Not allah. The muslim brotherhood comes from the half-brother Ishmael, God of the Bible did not choose Ishmael over Issac. Why? He was not the son of promise, did not God "promise" Abraham and Sarah a son? Who was it that was to be sacrificed on the altar on top of the mountain yet at last moment spared? Issac. Why? That represents Jesus Christ, Abraham sacrificing his one son whom he loved dearly -- God sacrificing His Son JESUS CHRIST on the Cross for mankind. God didn't choose Ishmael, allah, or Muhammad. The children of Ishmael are not the chosen people of God with an special inheritance. Now, they can become sons of God through Jesus Christ our Savior and be apart of the church. Apart from JESUS CHRIST our LORD there is no salvation. For JESUS CHRIST is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. No man cometh unto the Father but by HIM! They are NOT the same GOD, and never will be. Islam says, do this, this and this and in heaven you'll receive.........No. You cannot commit sin: murder, suicide, torture, rape, idols, and still make it to heaven. You must have the righteousness of JESUS CHRIST, because we cannot do anything to inherit eternal life, salvation or make it to heaven. We must rely ONLY upon JESUS CHRIST! Amen! GLORY TO GOD! PRAISE BE TO JESUS CHRIST MY SAVIOR!

They're not the same god. The Muslim god wants foreskins from his baby boys, while the Christian god apparently changed his mind about that. The same person cannot both want and not want something. Clearly they are different gods, but the Christian god got over his sick obsession with little boys' penises.

If they were the exact same god that Muslims and Christians worship, they'd either both still be obsessed with foreskins or not obsessed with foreskins at all.

According to the Bible, Jehovah only accepts the worship of those that do it with spirit and truth. (John 4:24) It was also stated that His followers must gather together and encourage one another to do fine works, as well as go out and preach to/teach others the truths that can be found in the Bible. (Hebrews 10:24 & 25, Matthew 28:19 & 20) Those not doing those things, regardless of what faith they claim or God they claim to worship, are not true followers of Jehovah. Jesus even spoke about those that would claim they were worshipping God but in reality were not. (Matthew 7:21-23)

Gods are imaginary. Humans invented the idea of gods. So Christians and Muslims are worshiping the same non-entity, from my perspective. The reason for the denial is that everyone, and every group, wants to feel special. If everyone on Earth believed in the same god, and there were 7 billion worshipers, well, ho-hum, we are all boring nothings?

So each twig of each branch of each religion feels that they are special - their god LOVES THEM!

Let's break it down to principal. The Christian God is a loving and forgiving father of all. According to the Quran, Allah is vengeful and spiteful towards anybody who does not believe in him, or follow his ways. Also referred to as infidels.

We have the same idea there is an all powerful being who is our father. That is about where the similarities stop.

I agree there are many peaceful followers of Islam. But just like a wolf in sheep's clothing, you can never know exactly who to look out for. Don't take my word for it. Look into sharia law.
2016-04-11 19:03:43 UTC
We do not worship the same God. Christians have to repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness and believe he is raised from the dead to be saved. We have to go through Jesus to get to the heavenly father.Jesus is the way the truth and the life. I don't think Muslims believe that.Christians do not follow Mohammed we serve the Lord Jesus Christ as our savior.

Very wrong. The Koran denies that Jesus is the Messiah. It speaks of Him as the One whom they (Christians) call Messiah, but it does not itself acknowledge Him as the Messiah -- directly opposite, it denies it. Also, it denies that Jesus Christ died upon the cross for our sins. According to 1 John 4:1-3, that makes the Koran and the whole of Islam anti-Christ. Therefore, Islam is of Satanic origin, and the Koran and the Bible cannot be inspired by the same Spirit or the same God. Allah is the pagan god of the crescent moon. Historical and unavoidable facts. Also Mary is not our mother. Marian worship is of Roman Catholic origin, but the Bible nowhere deifies Mary or calls her our mother, or states that she exists in heaven now, or that she was anything more than the mother of Jesus, although she did believe in Him. Nor does the Bible call her the Queen of Heaven -- in point of fact that title is given to the pagan goddess Ashera, or Ashtaroth, not some dead Christian named Mary, who was Jesus' mother.

There is, & can only be, 1 Creator GOD by any name.

That is the god of Abraham, worshipped by Jews & Muslims.

But the Christian understanding of GOD is very different.

That GOD came among us as the Son, Jesus.

This revealed GOD as 3 persons in 1, a Trinity.
good question, sir

Historically speaking, yes that is true. When it comes to actual belief and creed, the two religions couldn't be farther from each other. They worship the same god as us, but they worship Him so differently that it makes all the difference in the world.

It doesn't matter if Christians and Musliums worship the same God because it's all bullshit. They're worshiping an ancient mythological creature, which there is not a single evidence of these gods, and they're all fighting over it like bunch of knuckleheads.

Most Christians accept that Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worship the one true God of Abraham. We just understand who God is a bit differently.

"Allah" is just the word "God" in Arabic.

The language does not matter:

• Allah in Arabic

• God in English

• Dieu in French

• Theos in Greek

• Dei in Latin

• Dios in Spanish

Remember God is the title or role and not God's name which is an entirely different discussion.

With love in Christ.

This is a logical fallacy. The present meaning of a word is irrelevant to what it meant in ancient times. The word "Allah" is a good example. When confronted by the historical evidence that the word was used by pagan Arabs in pre-Islamic times to refer to a high god who was married to the sun-goddess and had three daughters, some Muslims will quote dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc. to prove (sic) that "Allah means God." They are thus using modern definitions to define what the word meant over a thousand years ago! What "Allah" means now has no bearing on what it meant before Muhammad.

------------------------------------------

If we assume that everyone has the same definition of such words as God, Jesus, revelation, inspiration, prophet, miracle, etc., we are committing a very simple logical fallacy.

#1 When a Muslim says, "Christians and Muslims worship the same God," he is committing the fallacy of equivocation. While Christians worship the Triune God of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Muslims worship a Unitarian deity. Obviously, they are worshipping different Gods.

#2 When a Muslim says, "We believe in Jesus too," he is committing the fallacy of equivocation. The "Jesus" of the Koran is not the Jesus of the Bible. Islam preaches "another Jesus" (II Cor. 11:4). The Jesus of the Bible is God the Son who died on the cross for our sins. But the "Jesus" of the Koran is not God the Son and he did not die on the cross for our sins. Thus it is erroneous for Muslims to tell Christians that they believe in Jesus, too.

It is the same "god." There is only one true God, the Flying Spaghetti Monster. His sworn enemy is the anti-Pasta, who blinds the minds of those who believe not. *This* false idol is the "god" worshiped by not only Christians and Muslims but also Jews, Hindus, Zoroastrians, Scientologists, etc.

If our Muslim friends admit John 3:16 refers to the Allah that they worship which says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life,” then we do worship the same God my friend. Reiterating, God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be born on earth and die on a cross. Why? We are all sinners and the Bible says the consequence of sin is death, eternal separation from God. There is nothing we can do to make us “good enough” for heaven.

Our Muslim friends say that as long as their 'good' deeds out- weigh their 'bad' deed's, Allah will decide if their 'works' will save them, and everyone knows that's a load of old cobblers..

Whereas the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob made a way. Christ lived a perfect, blameless life and provided the perfect sacrifice for our sins. He died on the cross in our place.

It is only by God’s grace—His undeserved mercy—that we can have eternal life with Him in heaven. All we have to do is have faith, to believe Christ died for us and ask Him to forgive our sins. Would you like assurance that you’re going to heaven, because Muslims have no assurance of going to heaven at all?

The "He" you speak of goes a little farther. Over and over He precisely claims to be the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This god worshipped by the Muslims is NOT the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The "Jesus" they mention in their Quran is not the Lord Jesus Christ of the New Testament, who is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob's SON. Don't be confused.

Many religions have what seems like the same story, with the same god, but in truth there differences, there is major differences and minor differences, the minor differences are like denominations some believe in full body baptism, other believe that speaking in tongues is proof you are saved. Major differences is they don't believe in the trinity, they don't believe Jesus is the son of God, they don't believe Jesus is the only way to heaven, they don't believe that Jesus is God, they don't believe that Jesus rose on the third day.
2016-04-11 14:10:01 UTC
Many Christians claim "Allah" is not God or Allah is a false god. Only God is God. Which is the stupidest claim ever.

1. Allah is the Arabic word for God. NOT a different God or another God.

2. Jesus never referred to God as God. In fact, there's no historical evidence of any kind to suggest Jesus even spoke English.

3. Arab Christians refer to God as Allah.

4. "Allah" translates into English as God.

5. The word for God in the Aramaic, the language Jesus most likely spoke as he was from Galilee, is the root word for Allah.

You have a point, I'll admit that, but think of Islam more as a misguided faith. They don't teach that Jesus is the messiah, as predicted in the Old Testament, and that He is only a prophet. They also say that the Bible is corrupted and the original versions is right, however today many bibles have the same meaning as the old text.

You are way, way off. Here is a small sample of the line-up of theological differences:

While the Bible tells us that Jesus is the Son of God, the Quran says, "Far removed it is from His Supreme Majesty that He should have a son." (Sura 4:171).

While the Bible tells us over and over that Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead, the Quran says, "And they killed him not and they crucified him not." (Sura 4:157)

While the Bible says Jesus is God, the Quran says, "The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah" (Sura 4:157)

While the Bible tells the Christian to love his enemy, the Quran says, "When ye encounter the infidels, strike off their heads till ye have made a great slaughter among them, and of the rest make fast the fetters." (Sura 47:4)

While the Bible tells the Christian that God does not lie or change His mind, the Quran says, "None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?" (Sura 2:106)

While the Bible says that salvation is by faith alone, the Quran says, "As for those who believe and do righteous deeds, We shall admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow wherein they will live for ever. Therein they will have chaste spouses, and We shall provide them with cool thick shade." (Sura 4:57)

While the Bible says there is no marriage in Heaven, the Quran says there is (refer to previous passage from Quran, Sura 4:57)

There is only one God. He does not lie. He does not change His mind. He does not tell Asians one thing and Africans something else. The Quran is not the work of God. Because of its message that contradicts the Bible, the Quran is the work of Satan. Therefore, Allah is a false God.

The founder of the Muslim nation was dishonest, putting some of the words of Jesus into his koran and claiming them as his own. He was also a pedophile at one point having a 9 year old wife. He tried to preserve HIS religion by teaching the destruction of "infidels" who did not follow him. If you do not accept and promote these beliefs then you are not a real muslim.

1. We believe in the Holy Trinity - Muslims do not.

2. Jesus has been named 'Christ' - The chrome and chronological aspect for all time ie He lived 2016 years ago.

3. Muslim consider us (Christians) as 'INFIDELS' - ie faithless!

4. The gates of heaven had been opened again (after the original sin by Adam and Eve) by Jesus to all those who believe in Him (Jesus of Nazareth).

5 Jesus collected His commandments into two which were (a) love thy neighbor as thyself and (b) God more than anything else. - Muslims (and most Christians too) hardly practice them.

Wont Christians & Muslims agree : they differ from new testaments onwards? Jehovah & Allah are simply regional names - they could well simply be One & only, eg. God is known as Shangdi in China, are there 3 Gods or 1? Muslims share some common names like Adam, Mariam, Joseph ( Yusuf in their mother tongue), Noah (Noh) etc, which might suggest they do share same origin! Pages from the Koran read exactly like Old testament. In fact, Hindu scripture too!

The similarities end with New Testament as Arabs or Muslims could not accept Jesus. There is no such thing as "Manifestation of God" in both worlds, which are plenty in Buddhist & Hindu scriptures. God manifests in a Son, who is a Holy Spirit, which explains His rise in 3 days, without any mortal trace .

As regards to Arab terrorists, they attacked Muslim countries too! Are they really muslims? They are compulsorily, culturally, born to IT! They have knowledge of Quran but whether they truly abide, they should explain themselves. Remember, even Satan do attend Churches, are they Christians?

My buddhist master said, "If you plant & cultivate seeds of goodness, even Satan or Devils would bow & protect you!"

Christians follow the bibles which are heavily edited with missing links eg. history of Jesus. Read the Eyptian versions - they are very elaborate on Adam & Eve.

Not quite, considering that for Christians Jesus is not some miserable little prophet like muhammed: for them Jesus IS god. So right away Islam insults Christianity. Also Islam is based on hate and killings: you just have to look at how muhammed killed and "conquered" onhis way to Medina.

The Islamic deity and the Christian deitty have two different sets of rules. By Allah's own word, if the law as laid down by the Christian deity is the correct law, then Allah cannot exist.

By Christian law (as per the NT), Christians shall not cause harm to come to people of other faiths merely as a result of their mistaken beliefs. By Islamic law, Muslims SHALL CAUSE HARM OR SUBJUGATE people who refuse to become Muslim. Therefore, it is only logical for people to convert to Islam.

Because most "Christians" dont' know the God of the holy Scriptures.

Asaf wrote Psalm 83:18. This verse says:That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth."

At Koran 17:2 we read : "We gave Moses the Scriptures and made them a guide for the Israelites."

In those Scriptures, Moses addresses God , saying: "Suppose I am now come to the sons of Israel and I do say to them, The God of your forefathers has sent me to you, and they do say to me, What is his name? What shall I say to them? God answered moses, saying: "This is what you are to say to the sons of Israel, 'Jehovah the God of your forefathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is my name to time indefinite." - Exodus 3:13,15.

It is the custom of the Jews when reading the holy Scriptures, when the come to the name of "Jehovah", the pronounc Adhonai, which means "lord".

Christendom followed the same course. They replaced the name Jehovah with "God" ("Allah" in Arabic) and with "Lord".

That contributed to the development of false doctrine of the Trinity, which has no basis in the Holy Scriptures. Because of this, millions mistakenly worship Jesus and the holy spirit and consider them equal to 'God.

So, do Muslims and false Christians worship Jehovah ? No !
?
2016-04-12 09:10:49 UTC
all people who believe in GOD are have some common belief because all of them get their belief from one unit source but by pass the time some of this belief was changed _maybe because of dishonesty of their follower_, and after coming the next prophet the previous people deny them, like when Moses came the egypt people deny him, and after jesus coming jew people deny them, and after mohammed coming the christians and jewish all deny them ... it's a repetitive story a long the history ... finally i think he is same god but with different definition and different imagination
2016-04-12 10:30:31 UTC
You think counting how many times Jesus name is "mentioned" in your

book is more important than believing the doctrine Jesus taught? crazy.

The God I know is about love and peace - not habitual contention, abuse

of women and children or barbarism.

God visited this earth in Jesus Christ to bring a new covenant of forgiveness

and grace. Jesus taught His Apostles about the new covenant. He covered

the sins of all who believe in Him by His own blood.

He closed the old covenant, and He achieved what He said He would do ...

He was resurrected, proving He defeated death, and appeared to many of

the people who knew Him. He told them they would receive the gift of the

Holy Spirit after He had ascended to heaven (Acts 1) and a large number

of people did receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 2) and the gifts of the Spirit that

included, fulfilling the words of the prophet Joel.

His true believers are still receiving that gift and amazing experiences.

You refuse to accept the teaching of Jesus, and your religion attempts to

write all that out of history- and reduce Jesus to only a "prophet", while at

the same time pretending you "honour" Him - just because He is named

in your Qu'ran.

There's only one thing we have in common: Belief in monotheism - or the

belief that God is one. Only something like 1/4 of Christians believe that,

while the other 3/4 have fallen for the 4th century "trinity" gobbledygook.

God's first commandment to Israel began with words which proclaim:~

" Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one." (Deuteronomy 6:4)

But the authors of "trinity" chopped that first part off God's commandment.

Jesus didn't. When He was asked, "What is the greatest commandment?"

He answered and quoted Deuteronomy 6:4. (see Mark 12:28-30)

Your religion rejects the teaching of Jesus .. it rejects the many prophecies

God gave about Him via the Old Testament prophets .. rejects the covenant

God established through the blood of Jesus .. rejects forgiveness and grace,

spreading hatred and violence throughout the world .. and the saddest of all

mistakes - it rejects the ONLY way you can have forgiveness of sin and be

reconciled with the living God and have eternal life. It's only found in belief

in the gospel of the Lord Jesus: repentance, baptism in His name and being

filled with the Holy Spirit. That covenant is still current until Jesus returns,

His people are still receiving His Spirit, and miraculous things still happen.

The Islamic idea of God conflicts with everything Jesus Christ established.

There's no way Muslims and Christians have the same God. Not remotely.

Jehovah and Allah are opposites. Allah acts more like Satan (kills, steals and destroys) than Jehovah God. Allah is the god of death. Jehovah the Most High is the God of life and life more abundantly.

You may have some of the same names in your Koran but you have distorted them so they are unrecognizable to what they really were. Isaac was the son of Promise NOT Ishmael.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. If we have invited Jesus to come and live within us and be the Lord of our lives then our inheritance in the future kingdom is assured.

God's word says in John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

In order to invite Jesus to be your Savior and Lord, you must believe in you heart that He is the Son of God, believe that He died upon the cross of Calvary as an atonement for your wrong doings, and believe that He arose from death and the grave. We must confess and repent of our sins and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. If you have never done this then stop right now and pray this prayer.

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus repenting and asking forgiveness of all my sins. Your Word says, "whosoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved" (Acts 2:21). I am calling on You. I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life according to Romans 10:9-10. "If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved" I do that now. I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I am a Christian ..a child of Almighty God! I am saved!

You are now an heir to the Kingdom of God! Your future is assured. I want to encourage you to find a church in your local area to attend. Tell someone that you have just received Jesus as your Lord. Than start digging into God's Word.

One of the biggest differences is God (Yahweh) is personal. He fills us with love if we are truly open to Him and follow His teachings. We have access to Him in prayer. We can feel His very spirit in our hearts. He sent us Jesus to teach and heal and perform miracles for us... personally. He literally became one of us.

if i asked someone who did not know US history at all, if George Washington and George Bush were the same person because they both were presidents of the US at one time or another, would they think they are the same person? or because their first names are the same? To know this answer you would have to know the "history" and characteristics of both of these people. If they had the same characteristics and behaved exactly the same then they might be the same... but if there is just ONE difference, then they are not the same.

differences between muslim pagan god... and YAHWEH.. God of Abraham..

God (YHWH) has a son - muslim god does not have a son

God has a name (YHWH)- muslim god has no name (simply called 'god' -that would be like naming my dog "dog"

God (YHWH) is the redeemer- muslim god saves no one...

God (YHWH) is our Father- muslim god is father to no-one

(Jesus taught His disciples to pray "Our Father in heaven," devotees of muhmed find the very notion offensive. To their way of thinking, calling God "Father" and Jesus Christ "Son" suggests sexual procreation. According to the Qur'an, "It is not befitting to (the majesty of) lallah that he should beget a son" (Sura 19:35); and lallah "begetteth not, nor is he begotten" (Sura 112:3).)

The Bible, however, does not use the term "begotten" with respect to the Father and the Son in the sense of sexual reproduction but rather in the sense of special relationship; thus, when the apostle John speaks of Jesus as "the only begotten of the Father" (John 1:14 KJV, emphasis added), he is underscoring the unique deity of Christ. John goes on to state, "No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known" (John 1:18 NIV).

YHWH is personable, knowable, relational (Jer. 24:7 — I will give them a heart to know Me)(John 17:3 — This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and the One You have sent-Jesus Christ.)(Abraham was called “the friend of God.”)- muslim god is not personal, knowable, or approachable. The Qur’an depicts him more judgmental than gracious. He exists as a singular unity who has no “partners.” In fact, to call Jesus the Son of God is to commit the unpardonable sin, or shirk. Of the 99 names for God in the Qur’an, Father is not one of them. In Islam, it is considered blasphemous to “presume” that one can know God or claim any sort of close, personal fellowship with lallah. he reveals his will, not himself.

with this evidence can one god behave and have different characteristics and still be the same god? that would be impossible for the bible tells us GOD DOES NOT CHANGE..

Psalm 33:11

The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart from generation to generation.

Malachi 3:6

"For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

Romans 11:29

for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

James 1:17

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

The Qur’an teaches that lallah loves those he chooses to love and hates those he chooses to hate. It appears his love or hate is in response to human behavior. “lallah loves not those that do wrong,” says the Qur’an (Surah 3:140), neither does he love “him who is treacherous, sinful” (Surah 4:107). “Those who reject faith and do wrong – lallah will not forgive them nor guide them to any way – except the way of hell, to dwell therein for ever. And this to lallah is easy (4:168-169). See also 5:49 and 40:10.

Yahweh, the God of the Bible, on the other hand, loves all people (John 3:16). His love is not a response to our goodness, but IN SPITE OF OUR LACK OF GOODNESS. He proved His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Rom. 5:8). The apostle John wrote, “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sin” (1 John 4:10). Even though God hates sin, He loves the sinner and takes no pleasure in punishing him (Eze. 18:23). His love for all people is unconditional.

if two entities have different characteristics... how can they be the same? where is the "EXACTNESS" of lalla and YAHWEH.. show me!

and in your line of thought .. that would mean that "lallah", YAHWEH,buddah, rama, krishna, ahura mazda, queztalcoatl, jupiter, zues and any other god "names" are all one and the same...

Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God?

by Matt Slick

No, Christians and Muslims do not worship the same God. There are similarities in their views of God, but there are also distinct differences.

As you can see in the chart below, each affirms that there's only one God and that He is eternal, knows all things, is omnipresent, and omnipotent. However, Christianity is radically different from Islam in its affirmation of the doctrine of the Trinity where God consists of three distinct and simultaneous persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Islam denies this and accuses Christians of teaching polytheism.

Quran, 5:73 (Yusuf Ali), “They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.”

As you can see, Islam denies that God is a Trinity. Also, in Christianity Jesus is the second person of the Trinity, who is in flesh. But Islam denies this as well.

Quran, 5:17, "In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say: "Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every--one that is on the earth? For to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things."

Quran 5:75, "Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!"

Therefore, we conclude that Christianity and Islam do not believe in the same God.

CHRISTIANITY ISLAM

God: Only one in all existence Affirm Affirm

God: Eternal, no beginning or end Affirm Affirm

God: Transcendent Affirm Affirm

God: Omniscient, Omnipresent, Omnipotent Affirm Affirm

God: Trinity of three Persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) Affirm Deny

God: Incarnation of Jesus (2nd Person of Trinity) Affirm Deny

https://carm.org/do-christians-muslims-worship-same-god

The Muslim and Christian views of God have some similarities. Christians believe in one eternal God Who created the universe, and Muslims apply these attributes to Allah. Both view God as all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-present.

A vital difference between the Islamic and Christian views of God is the biblical concept of the Trinity. In the Bible, God has revealed Himself as one God in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. While each Person of the Trinity is fully God, God is not three gods but three in one.

God’s Son came in the form of man, a truth called the incarnation (Luke 1:30-35; John 1:14; Colossians 2:9; 1 John 4:1-3). The Lord Jesus Christ conquered the penalty and power of sin by dying on the cross (Romans 6:23). After rising from the dead, Jesus went back to heaven to be with His Father and sent the Holy Spirit to believers (Acts 1:8-11). One day, Christ will return to judge and rule (Acts 10:42, 43). Those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus will live with Him, but those who refuse to follow Him must be separated in hell from the holy God.

“The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him” (John 3:35-36). Either Jesus bears the wrath of God for your sin on the cross or you bear the wrath of God for your sin in hell (1 Peter 2:24).

The Trinity is essential to the Christian faith. Without the Trinity, there would be no incarnation of God’s Son in the Person of Jesus Christ. Without Jesus Christ, there would be no salvation from sin. Without salvation, sin would condemn all to an eternal hell.

So, do Christians and Muslims worship the same God? A better question is, “Do Christians and Muslims both have a correct understanding of who God is?” To this question, the answer is definitely no. Because of crucial differences between the Christian and Muslim concepts of God, the two faiths cannot both be true. The biblical God alone addresses and solves the problem of sin by giving His Son.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son” (John 3:16-18).
