Why does the Bible say that the earth is flat and that the earth is set on foundations with Pillars?

Im not making this up. Below are verses from your bible. If the God from the Bible Created everything how come he doesn't even know that the earth is round, and the earth is NOT set on a foundation.

"He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved." Psalm 104:5

"Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble." Job 9:6



If Your God/Jesus created the earth wouldn't your God know that the earth is ROUND
and DOES NOT have 4 corners?

Jesus said, "I am the vine, you are the branches". Do you believe he was confused about whether he was a person or a plant? Or, maybe, just maybe, was he using poetic language? Sort of like saying "from the four corners of the earth"?



Remember, too, that you are reading an English translation of a Hebrew phrase. The word translated “corners,” as in the phrase above, is the Hebrew word, KANAPH. Kanaph is translated in a variety of ways. However, it generally means extremity. So, it would be as accurate to translate this into English by saying, "He will gather together the dispersed of Judah from the extremities of the earth."



BTW, we have seen this prophecy fulfilled - people have returned to Israel from "The extremities of the earth". God's word is always fulfilled.

the use of the word ' foundations' and ' corners' are symbolic and not literal...

When the British stated that people came...from the four corners of the empire'...it means from ALL PARTS. Not that the empire was square.

and the foundations are those things which keep it in its place...such as gravity...

If it helps, the Talmud also calculates the length of the synodic month. And their estimate from about 2000 years ago is within several hundredths of a second of NASA's estimate and NASA used satellites to calculate it from outer space.



If you plan is to cull out specific verses, assume your interpretation is correct, and therefore everyone will go "oh my gosh. You've convinced me," that is unlikely to happen.
