He isn't.

Just like he isn't a Prophet either.

Both claims are equally ridiculous.

In the Old Testament Isaiah writes "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel." (Isaiah 7:14) This is the foundation for our faith. If Jesus was born like any other person than He was not God and could not save anyone from their sins. He had to have a miraculous birth in order to have been sent from God. If He had been born of a human father He would have the same sin nature as anyone else and would thus be unable to save even himself from sin.

If God is God than He can do anything that is within His nature and character. Why would He not be able to come to earth as a human and be born of a virgin? Why would this be a difficult task for God to perform?

Jesus did claim to be God. He claimed to be identical with the Father (God): "I and my Father are one." (John 10:30). Jesus also said He was omnipresent (John 3:13), omniscient (John 11:14), and omnipotent (Matthew 28:18). Only God can receive worship, and Jesus demonstrated Himself as God when He received worship (Matthew 14:33). Also, when Jesus forgave sins, He did something only God can do. because only god can forgive sins (Mark 2:5-7).

Nobody asked you to believe or disbelieve.

Now, let me ask you to Answer this :

How can you Muslims believe in Mohammad when he lied about the Zam Zam [the miraculous spring that God gave Ihsmael] saying that it was an ordinary well near Mecca; while, in the Torah, it clearly says that this was at Beersheba in the Negev Desert of Israel?

How can you Muslims believe in Mohammad when he lied to you and said that the Altar of Abraham was the Ka'aba of Mecca; while, in the Torah, it clearly said that this was at Hebron, in Israel?

Why do you people lie about your worship of the al Hajarul Aswad, or the Ka'aba stone, when the Masjid al Qiblain [the second Qiblah] was Medina when the Caliph Yasid and the Ummayad Army destroyed the Ka'aba, because the meteoric stone was taken there? Also, remember that the second time it was taken away from Mecca, your people paid the ransom and brought it back to the Ka'aba.

How can you mock Isa bin Maryum al Massihe when the Koran, itself, says that Allah said that Mary had received His Gift that had been taken to her by the Holy Spirit [ruh all'iilah] ?

Think well before you blaspheme again like this.

Peace.

ST

PS,

Because you have tried, in the end, to ask for understanding and Peace; Azan, I forgive you.

I shall not contest you, now; because that would only hurt you.

However, I must say that your dawa'ah was a very bad one.

Your very presentation mocked the Holy Name of Isa bin Maryum al Massihe [sallā'llahu ʿalayhi was'allam] whom you didn't even have the courtesy to salute properly.

Since your intention was one of performing the dawa'ah, I forgive you and ask Allah [subhanahu wa ta'ala'a] to grant you His Forgiveness, for He is the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent.

I have given in to the Sin of Anger, once again, so, I must take leave, now. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

Jazakallahun khairan.

Ma sala'amah.

Jesus Christ was God manifested in flesh. God shows himself to us in three forms. Even Jesus tells us about his Father and Holy Spirit. God wants the world to be saved through Jesus Christ. There is no other way to reach to God, other than Jesus, since he was the son of God, who came on earth to save us. If we disrespect Jesus, who was God himself (Equivalent to God Almighty, being son) we are disrespecting God. Muslims teach about Jesus in a peculiar way which is not true.

in reply to simon, are you actually saying that since Muhammad disagreed with the Torah he must therefore be wrong? and why would muslims mock jesus he is an honoured prophet? and as for the stone in the ka'aba it is well known and umar ibn al khattab kissed it during tawaaf saying if he hadn't seen the messenger doing it he would not have done the same, what are Muslims supposedly lying about?

Jesus was not God. He never said He was. On many occasions, He referred to His Father as a separate entity from Himself. He did, however, say that He was one with His Father. This is entirely logical.

Consider this: Mary was told by her cousin Elizabeth that her baby was going to be somebody special. She had a vision in which an angel told her that her son was going to be the Messiah and the Son of God. At His birth, nobility came from foreign lands to honor His arrival. Mary and Joseph had to flee to Egypt to escape the assassination ordered by King Herrod. Given all of these facts, do you think Jesus was raised just like every other boy in Israel? Hardly.

I think Mary and Joseph told Jesus from the moment He could understand language (and probably before) how special He was. Imagine being raised from birth to believe you are the holy Son of the living God. Imagine being raised to believe you are the person your country has waited for for hundreds of years. Would you not devote every waking moment to becoming the person you believed you were destined to be?

The result would be that you would feel a total unity with God. You would have total faith in God and would have total access to the power of the Holy Spirit within you. That faith and that unity would allow you to do incredible things. Jesus told us this on several occasions.

My big complaint with most religious organizations is they have tried to place themselves between man and God. They have created dogma to convince people that the only way to get to God is through the church. This is not what Jesus preached. He told us the kingdom of God is within us. He told us that, if we had total faith in God, we could do everything He did and more. Unfortunately, this message got watered down and perverted over the years.

Jesus was not god but He was one with God. We can also be one with God. All we have to do is look for His Spirit within us and have total confidence in that Spirit just like Jesus told us to do.

Best always

Jesus is not the God the Father in heaven, He is the only begotten and beloved Son of God. Jesus is Lord, the Redeemer and the Saviour. they are one in plan, goal, spirit, love and in God.

if you're talking about the triangle thing... well... I was told that it was how the church made jesus a rival for the Jewish god, otherwise he was just like a son rather than a great god.

Bible verses that show Jesus is God

Following are verses used to show that Jesus is God in flesh. The scriptures used here are from the New American Standard Bible. The links to the verses are to the King James Version of the Bible here on CARM.

John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

John 1:14 - "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."

John 5:18 - "For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God."

John 8:24 - "I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins."

Note: In the Greek, "He" is not there.

John 8:58 - "Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.'"

Exodus 3:14 - "And God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM'; and He said, Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’"

John 10:30-33 - "I and the Father are one." 31The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 32Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" 33The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God."

John 20:28 - "Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"

Col. 2:9 - "For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form."

Phil. 2:5-8 - "Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, 11and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Heb. 1:8 - "But of the Son He says, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom."

Quoted from Psalm 45:6, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Thy kingdom."

Jesus is worshipped - Jesus said to worship God only, yet He receives worship.

Matt. 4:10 - "Then Jesus *said to him, 'Begone, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only."’"

Matt. 2:2 - "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east, and have come to worship Him."

Matt. 2:11 - "And they came into the house and saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell down and worshiped Him; and opening their treasures they presented to Him gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh."

Matt. 14:33 - "And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, "You are certainly God’s Son!"

Matt. 28:9 - "And behold, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him."

John 9:35-38 - "Jesus heard that they had put him out; and finding him, He said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?" 36He answered and said, "And who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?" 37Jesus said to him, "You have both seen Him, and He is the one who is talking with you." 38 And he said, "Lord, I believe." And he worshiped Him."

Heb. 1:6 - "And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, 'And let all the angels of God worship Him.'"

Jesus is prayed to

Acts 7:55-60 - "But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; 56 and he said, "Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God." 57But they cried out with a loud voice, and covered their ears, and they rushed upon him with one impulse. 58And when they had driven him out of the city, they began stoning him, and the witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59And they went on stoning Stephen as he called upon the Lord and said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!" 60And falling on his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them!" And having said this, he fell asleep."

1 Cor. 1:1-2 - "Paul, called as an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 2to the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling, with all who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours." (The phrase, "to call upon the name of the Lord" is a phrase used to designate prayer.)

1 Kings 18:24 - "Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord, and the God who answers by fire, He is God." And all the people answered and said, "That is a good idea."

Zech. 13:9 - "And I will bring the third part through the fire, refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’"

Rom. 10:13-14 - "for 'whoever will call upon the name of the Lord' will be saved." 14 How then shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard?" (Paul is speaking of calling upon Jesus. (The phrase "Call upon the name of the Lord" is a quote from Joel 2:32).

Joel 2:32 - "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call." (LORD here is YHWH, the name of God as revealed in Exodus 3:14. Therefore, this quote, dealing with God Himself is attributed to Jesus.)

First and Last

Isaiah 44:6 - "Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God besides Me."

Rev. 1:17 - "Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, 18and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades."

Blind belief is dangerous and destructive!. Bible tells us to prove things.

(I Thessalonians 5:21): “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”

The teachings of the Church contradict the teachings of Jesus (pbuh) and that is the cause of the confusion. If a sincere christian who wants to follow Jesus, asks priests about trinity, the answer that he gets is "It is a Mystery, not explained by Jesus clearly", at that time again those forget that Jesus said,

"I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet, and in secret I have said nothing" (John 18:20 (NKJ)).

"God is not a God of confusion."—1 Corinthians 14:33, Revised Standard Version (RS).

There was no mystery in the message of Jesus, nothing secret. Will you accept the priests' so called "mystery of trinity" and forget clear commandments of Jesus? Trinity or divinity of Jesus to be anywhere close to basis of chritain faith would have to be there in bible in clear words in any even one book of bible, with Jesus saying I am God, worship me, which is not. Doesn't it mean something to you.

Jesus clearly said:

A) Mark 12:29: "the Lord our God, the lord is One".

B) Metthew: 26:39: "He went a little farther and fell on His face and prayed" (Following Jesus way is following what he did). Jesus prayed to one God

C) Matthew 4:10 "You shall worship the Lord, your God, and him only you shall serve"

D) John 14:28 reads-- " You heard that I said to you,I am going away and i am coming back to you. If you loved me , you would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father,BECAUSE THE FATHER IS GREATER THAN I AM"

E) Mark 13:32: "But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father."

F) John 5:19: "Most truly I say to you, the son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative but only what he beholds the father doing."

G) Matthew 19:17. "And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."

H) Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me

John 7:16

What if Jesus were to ask these questions to you today:

Question 1. Why did u address your devotions to me instead it should have been to true God? Did I ever direct u to do it, or porpose myself as an object of religious worship?

Question 2 . When my disciples requested me to teach them to pray(Luke 11: 1-2),did I teach them to pray to myself or to any person but Father?

The trinity is a doctrine from about the year 325 AD, It has its roots in polytheism, pagan religion, and pagan philosophy (most probably added to christianity by humans to make it more acceptable to worshippers of more than one God). It is not in the bible unless you really, really stretch it to fit.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia - 1967, VOL. XIV, PAGE 299:

The formulation "one God in three Persons" was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, PRIOR TO THE END OF THE 4TH CENTURY. But it is precisely this formulation that first claimed to title "The Trinitarian Dogma. AMONG THE APOSTOLIC FATHERS, THERE HAD BEEN NOTHING EVEN REMOTELY APPROACHING SUCH A MENTALITY OR PERSPECTIVE.

You should not accept the word “son” literally . Word "son" was used in bible for general human beings and other prophets also. "we all are the children of father in heavens" indicates that word "son" was used in different meaning of love and care.

Mathew: 5:9. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God.”

Exodus 4:22.

“And thou (Moses) shalt say unto Pharaoh, thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn.”

Jesus, Moses, Mohammad (p.b.u.h), they all worshiped the same God, the God of Ibrahim. All prophets taught "surrendering one's will to God" that is the meaning of word "Islam". Word "christianity" did not exist at the time of Christ, but you will find Jesus teachings to be "surrender your will to God" in bible many times.

JAMES 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Mohammad (peace be upon him) was also a messenger of God, who never claimed to be God, the same way Jesus or Moses never claimed to be God, nor did they ever say worship me. There was just not one holy book sent by God on earth through His messengers. The last one had to be there to correct mistakes in the previous ones. The last testiment from the same source, with many similarities, but correcting mistakes in earlier ones made by humans.

If only the genuine followers of Jesus, who truly love him, read the Bible in context, and study the Qur’an, they will definitely reach the conclusion that GOD IS ONE, without any partners; and Jesus (pbuh) the son of Mary (pbuh) is a messenger of GOD!

Muslims love Jesus, they believe in his miraculous birth with the will of God without a father or sexual act (the way Adam was born without a mother and father), , they believe in miracles that Jesus performed with permission of God, muslims faith demands them to believe Jesus was a great prophet of God and belief in the original message of Jesus the massaya.

Qur’an, revealed to the Prophet Muhammed (an illiterate person, who didn't know how to read or write) some 600 years after Jesus, (pbut) corrects the errors that crept (knowingly or unknowingly) into the message that Jesus brought. This book was not preserved on paper or in one church but in hearts of thousands of muslims who memorised Quran word by word the way it was revealved and recited it daily 5 times in prayers. After Mohammad (pbuh), there was not even one dispute about a word of Quran in compiling it, that's how what you see today is only one original Quran in arabic with exact words in each one of them. Till today there have been billions of muslims who have memorised Quran by heart word by word, never found for any other book. Quran should prove to be a very valuable asset to both Muslims and Christians.

Quran: [4:171] O people of the scripture, do not transgress the limits of your religion, and do not say about GOD except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was a messenger of GOD, and His word that He had sent to Mary, and a revelation from Him. Therefore, you shall believe in GOD and His messengers. You shall not say, "Trinity." You shall refrain from this for your own good. GOD is only one god. Be He glorified; He is much too glorious to have a son. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. GOD suffices as Lord and Master.

[4:172] The Messiah would never disdain from being a servant of GOD, nor would the closest angels. Those who disdain from worshiping Him, and are too arrogant to submit, He will summon them all before Him.

[4:173] As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, He will fully recompense them, and shower them with His grace. As for those who disdain and turn arrogant, He will commit them to painful retribution. They will find no lord beside GOD, nor a savior.

[5:73] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is a third of a trinity. There is no god except the one god. Unless they refrain from saying this, those who disbelieve among them will incur a painful retribution.

In Quran 57:27,God Say,

“Then, We sent after them, Our Messengers, and We sent Jesus son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. And We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him, compassion and mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves; We did not prescribe for them, but (they sought it) only to please Allah therewith, but that they did not observe it with the right observance. So We gave those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious sinners.”

Would you really believe in some twisted and vague words in Bible that people try to use divinity of Jesus.in Bible, written after 50-300 years after Jesus by people who never met him. Jesus spoke Armaic, not English or any other language. Just one word "Gay" has changed its meaning in just 50 years, what would happen to something written 50 - 200 years after Jesus (with only some most ancient scriptures found of 200 years after Jesus) and translated hundreds of times, and till now corrections happening? Will you go by just one unclear statement in Bible added by humans in it, and ignore clear commandments of Jesus.

Paul who has written a major part of today's Bible hated christianity, never met Jesus, and after Jesus, suddently claimed that he had seen Jesus and started to teach believes. Still you woudn't think about it!

Decide whether you love Jesus and want to follow his clear words and be saved, or love other human beings who gave different meaning to his original words. Reject any idea that makes you think of God in three distinct images or forms, follow Jesus and Mohammad p.b.u.h who said God is one, without any partner.
