In a village [in India] a young married woman was seriously ill. She had taken all kinds of medication. She was still on the pathway to death. They had given their gifts to the temples and priests. They had tried mantras and witchcraft. Bur the woman was still sick.
She asked her husband in the upper caste: “Why don’t you pray to the God of the people over there across the river, and see what happens?”
He said, “What do you mean? Those are tribal outcast people. Our gods are the ones that can do it.”
She said, “No, they can’t. We haven’t asked that God. Ask Him.”

While he was outside, his wife came out. She had been touched instantly by God. She got out of bed, came out, and said, “I’m healed! Who did you talk to?”

They called the people from across the river. They said, “Come and tell us: what is the name of your God?” They said, “His name is Jesus.” Then the people from the Hindu village said, “That’s the God we want to know.” And that opened up that anti-Christian cast Hindu village to the Gospel, and within a month there was a new church, a group of believers.
