I need a good definition that can use random animals and plants to test against the definition to see if they are the same kind.

CreationWiki puts it on the family level, which would actually make the Ark slightly less impossible. Genus definitely wouldn't work though.

That makes all primates one 'kind' though. Of course, they leave humans out for no real reason.

All of this kind business also requires super evolution after the Flood. Odd how slow change over million of years is impossible, but rapid change in 2000 years is fine.

"Kind" refers to species !

For example Noah had one pair of wolf / dog on the Ark, and today there are over 400 slightly different dogs (but all of them are still redily identifiable as dogs) Like from Chihuahuas to Irish Wolf Hounds. Let's say you cross a Greyhound over a Bull Mastiff what do you think the result would be ( a Great Dane ) ?

And also 'cats' -- all cats (domestic, pumas, lions tigers, etc.) have a common ancestor.

The God Yahweh is referring to members of the same species when He uses the term "kind" in The Bible. Such as when Yahweh says, any kind of raven or any kind of owl or any kind of falcon or any kind of hawk in Leviticus chapter 11 where Yahweh is describing the species of birds that are unhealthy for all humans to eat as a food product for disease prevention reasons that are still unknown to our human scientists. Yahweh knew classification of creatures on Earth by their internal digestive systems long before mankind did.

According to Answers in Genesis it is around the Genus level.

It's the only way they can make the math even come close to work out on the Ark. Of course that means that evolution happened about 1000 times faster than any scientist would claim is possible since the flood. And they complain that we can't observe it.

It basically means that each animal, plant, or human produced offspring that was like itself.

A lioness can not give birth to a turtle, nor can an oak tree produce seeds that will grow into a grape vine.

That simple.

it carries physical and spiritual implications.Physically it just means if you plant a plum seed it will be a plum tree and if you plant wheat seed it will sprout up wheat. With animals there has to be a male and female gamete so you can create hybrids but in the process you WILL WEAKEN the seed of the hybrid. In plants BEFORE the seed stage you can also make fi, f2 ,f3 ,and f4 hybrids and the seed is weakened respectively so that the odds of the seed propogating is greatly reduced.I wont go in to the spiritual implications so as not to offend if you want to e-mail me i will explain
