I believe in indian/vedic astrology. But its a little embarrassing to say that is my belief system. If it is apart hinduism I would like to check out hinduism more and maybe incorporate it as my religion. I totally believe in vedic astrology. I was a follower of regular western astrology but many of the things were superficial and easily out of place and based on what ppl saw in each other rather than what they knew. I looked in vedic astrology and that made more sense to me and for the other ppl I knew.
Okay thanks :)

I'd say it's more than a little embarrassing to say you believe in any astrology.

There is no prediction in vedic astrology. It is used to calculate good time for sacrifice, marriage etc.

Now a days there is other vedic astrology which make prediction. I don't know what is the basis.Indian astrology is based on a book Hora. by Varahamihira. In that book he took knowledge from Greek.

Now a days Indian Astrology is also on wrong basis. This is because it take values for calculation from ancient texts. It should be updated.

edit.

Astrology is a part of Veda. It is related to Hinduism. There are six limbs of Veda. One is astology. As I said there is no prediction in it. Many astrological discoveries made by Greek were accepted by Hindu astrologers. So it is not 'purely Hindu'.

Astrology has nothing to do with Hindu religion. It developed in Hindu society. Many Hindus follow it.

Start with reading this book that says ‘You have more than enough advisers, astrologers, and stargazers. Let them stand up and save you from what the future holds. But they are as useless as dried grass burning in a fire. They cannot even save themselves!" Bible-Isaiah Chapter 47 verses 13-14

Your Father in Heaven offered and is willing to accept Jesus’ sufferings for the punishment your sins deserve; you would be very foolish to refuse, even if a sacrifice like that doesn’t seem to “make sense.”! No one’s sins deserve mercy - sins against God’s infinite love justly deserve unending punishment - as offences again the Eternal Creator! No amount of suffering or “goodness” you could ever offer could possibly pay for your sins.

Confess your sins to Jesus – the only one, as God the Son, who could ever make a BIG ENOUGH sacrifice for your sins. Ask His forgiveness for making Jesus’ sufferings necessary. Turn from them proving your repentance is real trust Jesus took the punishment your sins deserved, on His cross. Trust Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment your sins deserved. That is the Father’s only way you can have eternal life.

Otherwise, there will be no mercy on Judgment Day. It will be too late for you. All the mercy your sins require was already provided on Jesus’ cross. That is the only payment for your sins that God the Father will accept!
