Do you discuss theism/ atheism in real life?

If so, how often?

I do occasionally, about once every few months but it's a bit like politics - I hold back a lot in real life.

More often than you, but usually with a political feel to it, as many people I know are Christians who tend to combine the 2. On the political field, I don't hold back. On the purely religious field, I state my personal beliefs when asked and I'll discuss how people view religion... but that's usually as far as it goes. It's rare that I run into anyone, theist or atheist, in real life who engage in discussion/debate or downright arguments over religion the way it is seen online.

I probably do it a few times a month, mostly at work with a few people.

I hold back a lot too because I know I won't convince my work associates that their reasons are not good enough, and if I push harder, it just escalates.

We mostly keep it pretty good natured, and even tease each other about it from time to time.

"First, logical reasoning isn't an absolute regulation which governs the universe. many cases in the previous, human beings have concluded that because of the fact something is logically impossible (given the technological know-how of the day), it would be impossible, era." not particularly. the difficulty with logical reasoning isn't that it now and returned would not artwork. that's that individuals now and returned circulate into the reasoning with invalid premises or without all premises required to attain a competent end. good judgment wasn't the difficulty, although.

Yes, sometimes after a few beers we have a big argument in the pub, I never start it or anything, you must understand,

In fact the last time we argued about religion in the pub weas when the reverend of the town wrote into the local paper to say that I ought to be ashamed (he named me) of myself for criticising town councillors praying in the council chamber

I dont discuss Atheism.....I just am one.I dont force it on others. My kids can pick any faith they want but they know my views and I dont impose them on my girls. Religion on the other hand is forced down peoples throats. We dont interfere with kids and we dont scare them with silly HELL LUCIFER HADES garbage. Religious people call us evil but we dont call you evil.....deluded......childish.....easily swayed maybe. If I was not an Atheist seeing your JERRY FALWELL (gladly deceased) would turn me Arheist in one evening. And yes....Religion is politics. It forces the poor to accept megre lives with the hope of wealth in heaven that you aint going to see. It controls people which is why it was created. Christian Muslim Jewish.....the lot. IF IT WERE PROOVED THAT RELIGION AND YOUR GODS WERE FAKE WOULD PEOPLE ACCEPT THE LOUSY LIVES A LOT OF THEM HAVE TO ENDURE DURING THEIR SHORT 70 OR SO YEARS THEY LIVE ON THIS PLANET.

Religion is not a main topic of discussion in real life. In mine, at least.

I read a lot of books on atheism or philosophy, but like you I rarely discuss it with people.

With family? No.

Bit of friction there.

But friends and acquaintances?

Sure.

I like to open with a few jokes though.

You know, test the waters as it were..

Sometimes. Religion is more interesting than politics.

I discuss it when it's raised but generally don't bring it up myself. I like to avoid proselytizing.
